The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Adriel misses. Angel Adriel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Adriel throws the left hand but Windsor avoids the punch easily. Adriel has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Windsor is landing a low percentage of strikes. Windsor wants to clinch up but Adriel keeps it at a distance. A head kick misses from Windsor. Windsor throws a head kick but Adriel moves out of range.

Adriel drops Windsor with a beautiful combination! Windsor stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Adriel is looking for the KO!
It looks like Ralph Windsor has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Windsor plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Angel Adriel has been cut. Windsor drops his hands for a split second and Adriel immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Windsor face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Adriel follows up with a right hand that knocks Windsor into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Herstag looks to land a combination. Yolovski sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Yolovski clinches with his opponent.
Yolovski tries to score a body lock takedown but Herstag shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Nice body punch from Herstag. A short right from Herstag. Yolovski is looking to take this one to the mat. Yolovski is looking to take this one to the mat. Neil Herstag has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yolo Yolovski. Herstag lands a body shot in the clinch.
Herstag digs a right hand into Yolovski's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Yolovski's gas tank. Yolovski blocks an elbow strike. Herstag lands an elbow that stopped Yolovski in his tracks for a moment.

Yolovski has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Herstag after a bit of a struggle. Herstag lands a body punch in the clinch. Herstag lands a knee to the body.

Herstag manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Herstag is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Yolovski wants a takedown but no success here.

Yolovski is working for takedown but Herstag is calmly controlling the position for now. Herstag trying to control the position but instead, Yolovski has worked for underhooks and has pushed Herstag into the cage. Herstag lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Yolovski or not. Yolovski looks winded! A left hand lands to the body for Herstag.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Herstag is trying to maintain the position but Yolovski is very close to passing his half guard. Yolovski in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Herstag tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Yolovski!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mattos gets caught napping as Hale dives in and scores a takedown. Mattos manages to retain guard. Hale not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Hale seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mattos for as long as he can get away with. Hale decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Hale forces Mattos back against the cage and clinches. Hale turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Mattos is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Mattos tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hale wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Mattos isn't going anywhere. Mattos is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Hale asserts his dominance and retains side control. Mattos can't do much from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hale decides to stand back up. Hale steps back and let's Mattos get back to his feet. Mattos tries to sprawl but Hale drives through with a takedown into half guard. Hale wants to work for an arm triangle but Mattos is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Hale trying to control the action but Mattos is working from the bottom. Hale not landing any meaningful shots this time. Mattos has his hands clasped together around Hale's back. He's all about the action. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mattos wants to improve his position but Hale is controlling well.

Mattos wants to get back to his feet. Hale decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Good leg kick by Mattos there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Hale closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Mattos tries to get to full guard but Hale has control of the leg. Hale stands up out of the half guard. Mattos looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Hale fails to land the takedown. Mattos scores with a head kick. Hale tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Hale definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A head kick from Mattos lands but Hale takes it in his stride. Walter Mattos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hale missing with a left hand there. Mattos was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Mattos goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Mattos moves out of range as Hale throws a body kick.
A good leg kick by Mattos. Hale takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. A telegraphed right hand from Hale misses the target. Mattos looks like he wants to counter punch here. Hale clinches with his opponent.
Mattos tries to break free but Hale pushes him back against the cage. Mattos looking to stall.
Hale has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hale is trying to force a seperation but Mattos has the dominant position. Mattos pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hale swinging wildly here.
Mattos lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Mattos bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Mattos stuffs the takedown attempt from Hale. Hale gets slowly back to his feet. This has been an exciting period of action! Mattos connects with an inside leg kick. Hale misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mattos throws a counter combo. Mattos lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Shaun Hale will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Hale takes a kick to the side of the head. Hale fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mattos avoids it really well and circles away. Mattos throws a big counter head kick but Hale avoids it with no problem. Hale misses with a shot to the body and Mattos counters with a nice uppercut. Hale fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Mattos throws a counter combo. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shaun Hale. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hale gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Mattos cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Mattos lands the left hand. A chopping leg kick lands by Mattos. Both fighters circling a little - Mattos finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hale misses with a takedown attempt and Mattos counters with a nice low kick that buckles Hale's knee momentarily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mattos stuffs the takedown. Mattos throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Walter Mattos seems to be getting the better of the standup. Mattos lands with a thumping leg kick.
Mattos shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hale eats them both and turns towards Mattos to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Hale misses with a takedown and Mattos counters with a stiff right hand. Mattos scores with a head kick.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Mattos.
Hale with a lazy takedown attempt and Mattos counters with a nice uppercut. Hale takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mattos feints and then cracks Hale's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hale down. Jab, jab by Mattos - just one landing. Hale shoots and misses and Mattos counters with a nice uppercut. Mattos moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Mattos, right into the meat.

Mattos has been the more effective fighter overall so far. The crowd cheers as Mattos lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hale doesn't seem phased though. Mattos connects with a solid leg kick. Mattos ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Mattos now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Mattos lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hale takes a kick to the side of the head. Mattos lands with a good body shot. Hale tries to clinch but Mattos moves out of range. Hale moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromMattos. Mattos scores with a head kick. Hale tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Nice body punch from Mattos. Mattos scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Mattos throws a series of strikes that have Hale backpedaling.
Hale is rocked! Mattos lands with a kick to the temple. Hale shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Oh Hale is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hale misses with a takedown attempt and Mattos counters with a good low kick that Hale was not able to check. Hale walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. The fighters circle, before Mattos throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Hale's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Mattos lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

"Ole!" shouts Simpson as he jumps to the side. Nice sprawl there from Simpson as Tomas shoots in. Tomas is breathing heavily. Tomas looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alcazar Tomas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Simpson catches Tomas napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Tomas to the canvas!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fukuda slips under a jab from Wang. Fukuda now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Fukuda throws a quick inside leg kick. Fukuda misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Long Wang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wang takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Wang just misses with a punch to the body.
Wang shoots in looking for a takedown but Fukuda manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wang's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Wang throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fukuda's waist but Fukuda gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wang off to one side. Fukuda ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fukuda misses with a lunging right hand
and Wang counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Fukuda controls Wang momentarily but Wang frees himself. Fukuda lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fukuda is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Wang has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Fukuda is looking to defend but Wang has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Fukuda! Wang pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Fukuda taps out and this one is all over!

Gracie is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Warring is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Balboa misses its intended target. Mousse throws a poor cross that misses
and Balboa counters with a nice uppercut. Mousse shoots in looking for a takedown but Balboa manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mousse's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. A little jabbing left from Balboa on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. We've been hearing reports that Mousse has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Some wild striking there from Mousse.

He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Parker's half guard. Parker has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Smith is working away from the top position though. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Hussain . Hurmaaja does a little dance to reset his feet. Hurmaaja shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Hussain is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hurmaaja throwing strikes but missing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hussain had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hurmaaja defends it easily. Hurmaaja has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Hurmaaja preventing the sweep. Hussain keeping moving, preventing Hurmaaja from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hurmaaja working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Hurmaaja postures up in Hussain 's guard and throws a big left but Hussain blocks it. Hussain manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hurmaaja manages to get himself to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hurmaaja tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hurmaaja is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Hurmaaja is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Hurmaaja maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Hussain could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Hurmaaja has cracked it and Hussain is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Hurmaaja!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moshington throws a right hand that Anttila ducks under and follows up with a left that Anttila also avoids with ease. Moshington throws a left and a right that both miss
and Anttila counters with a nice double leg into side control. Moshington won't be happy with that. Moshington is looking to regain half guard here but Anttila keeps moving and retains side control. You can see the frustration on Moshington's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Moshington gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Moshington wants to hold on but Anttila pushes him away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anttila looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Moshington wants to control but Anttila is having none of it. Moshington is squirming around, avoiding Anttila's attempts to control the action.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anttila is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Moshington can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Anttila trying to control but Moshington is having none of it. Anttila is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Moshington to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Moshington shrugs it off. Anttila looking to control but Moshington is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Moshington wants to hold on but Anttila pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Moshington is desperately trying to improve his position but Anttila has a good base and remains in mount. Moshington has given up his back here.
Anttila working for a choke but Moshington is defending well. Moshington is really stuck here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Moshington prevents Anttila from getting a body triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moshington wants to control his opponent's hands but Anttila gets his hands free. Anttila has good solid back control here. Anttila working for a choke but Moshington is defending well. Moshington trying to control the position but Anttila manages to sink in the hooks. Moshington might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Anttila haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Anttila is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Moshington knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Moshington for a finish. Anttila looking for the choke from the back. Anttila gets his hands free as Moshington looks to control. Moshington defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Moshington turns into Anttila and is now in his guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Anttila trying to control the position.

Anttila fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Moshington misses with a body punch
and Anttila counters with a nice double leg into guard. Moshington has his foot on Anttila's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Anttila works his way back into a safe position though. Moshington looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Moshington being controlled here, momentarily. Moshington pulls Anttila in to control the position. Anttila looking to sit in guard and control but Moshington gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

That's one minute gone in the round. Moshington content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Anttila has locked up a guillotine! Anttila's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Moshington is holding on here and Anttila must be using up a lot of energy. Moshington has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Anttila gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
