0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Richard Winters! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Bart Greer and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Winters throws a nice looking combination but Fistur bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Fistur tries for a takedown but Winters circles away easily and Winters counters with a right hand to the body. Winters lands a jab to Fistur's midsection. Fistur throws a lazy right hand but Winters sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Fistur takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Winters lands with a shot to the body. Fistur tries to land a leg kick but Winters saw it coming and moves away.
Fistur takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Winters has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Winters misses with a series of wild punches.
Winters cracks a nice hook into Fistur's ribs. Winters dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Richard Winters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Winters, as that shot connected.
Winters leaves Fistur with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Fistur tries to score a power double leg takedown but Winters sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fistur somewhat. Fistur has been working on his balance at The Hut - $50, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Winters. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Willy Fistur. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Winters thuds a left hand into Fistur's body. Winters lands a left and a right that send Fistur crashing to the mat, dazed. Winters thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Willy Fistur has been cut. Nice uppercut lands for Winters. That snapped Fistur's head back.
Fistur get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Fistur stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Winters runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Hashashin. No joy for Schopenhauer on that attempt. Hashashin looks like he wants to counter punch here. Hashashin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Schopenhauer. Nice defenses there by Schopenhauer. Schopenhauer on the wrong end of a nice jab. Hashashin connects with a crisp jab. A jab from Hashashin misses. Schopenhauer appears to be looking for a counter takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hashashin throws the left hand but Schopenhauer avoids the punch easily. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Schopenhauer gets cracked there but stands up to it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Schopenhauer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Schopenhauer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Schopenhauer trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hashashin can do anything to dispel that myth. Schopenhauer slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Schopenhauer is trying to get an arm triangle but Hashashin is defending well. Schopenhauer is trying to get an arm triangle but Hashashin is defending well. Schopenhauer has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Hashashin!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hashashin is working to get back to half guard.
Schopenhauer looking for a guillotine from mount but Hashashin is having none of it. Schopenhauer lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Schopenhauer has hold of Hashashin's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hashashin manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Hashashin defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Schopenhauer. Schopenhauer has isolated one of Hashashin's arms. Hashashin looking to fight him off but Schopenhauer twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!

It looks like Pista Isvan has been cut. Isvan connects with a solid leg kick. Isvan connects with a leg kick. Pasty looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Isvan pulls out of a head kick attempt.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Lazaro lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Lazaro lands with a light punch inside. Lazaro dips a shoulder and cracks McGuiness with a mighty uppercut! McGuiness falls back against the cage and Lazaro unloads with a barrage of strikes! McGuiness is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Lazaro screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riekko with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Riekko jabs Nowak right on the nose. Nowak blinks but takes it well. A nice inside leg kick there by Riekko. That's going to slow Nowak down. Riekko ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Nowak tries to land a front kick but Riekko steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Riekko connects with a right hand. Nowak shakes it off. Riekko scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Riekko lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nowak circles away quickly and effectively. Nowak looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Riekko missing with a left hand there. Nowak was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Nice jab there from Riekko. Nowak throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Riekko doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Nowak slips a jab from Riekko. Riekko swinging wildly here.

Risto Riekko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nowak takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Nowak throws a body kick that misses and Riekko counters with an inside leg kick. Riekko connects with a single shot there. Riekko tries a head kick but it misses.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Riekko.

Nowak is rocked! Riekko lands with a thumping leg kick.
Riekko cracks Nowak with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Riekko has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Nowak to stand back up! Oh Nowak is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! BOOM! Riekko lands a beautiful left hook that drops Nowak. Nowak tries to recover but Riekko is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Nowak lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jenova scores with a decent looking hook. Chan misses with a hook. Jenova dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Jenova connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Chan walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Nice cross by Jenova. Chan moves in looking to clinch but Jenova pushes him off. Jenova definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Good shot there by Jenova. Jenova's jab looks to have found its range, popping Chan under the eye. Jenova slips under a jab. This has been an exciting period of action! Jenova defending well as Chan loads up on a big left hand. Chan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Chan looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Jenova drops Chan with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Chan looks back up at him and smiles so Jenova waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Chan is rocked! Jenova pounces like a tiger and cracks Chan with a vicious hook! Chan is down but not out! Jenova follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Sephiroth Jenova! In his post fight interview, Sephiroth Jenova started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
