Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Gene screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Takem Downem.

Bailey feints and then cracks Lohan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lohan down.
The crowd cheers as Bailey lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lohan doesn't seem phased though.
Bailey moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Bailey loads up on a big right hand but Lohan slips the punch.
Lohan unleashes a big counter combination but Bailey bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Bailey swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lohan is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Bailey throws a body shot but no joy.
Lohan slips a straight right by Bailey.
Bailey connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Lohan momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bailey digs a good body shot into Lohan's ribs.
Lohan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bailey's waist but Bailey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lohan off to one side.

We've been informed that Lohan has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Lohan lands a head kick. Bailey smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Lohan checks the leg kick nicely there.
Lohan walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Lohan takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Lohan darts in looking for a takedown but Bailey gets double underhooks and turns Lohan into the ropes.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Bailey, right into the meat.
Bailey fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lohan has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Bailey lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Lohan crumples to the floor! Bailey milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!

A relieved looking Alex Bailey thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Nascimento lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Romaneiro will be OK.
