Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryo Yoshida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andreas Andersson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Andersson's choice of entrance music: ZZ Top - Tube Snake Boogie. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andreas Andersson! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Andersson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Yoshida, pushing him back against the cage. Yoshida has hold of one of Andersson's legs. Andersson is fighting the takedown attempt but Yoshida gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Yoshida throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Andersson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Yoshida knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Andersson on the ground. Andersson moves nicely into side control. Yoshida tries to get back to half guard but can't. Andersson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Yoshida is not content to let Andersson control the position. Yoshida is looking for a sweep. Andersson trying to control the position but Yoshida is working away. Andersson is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Yoshida's shoulder. That is not cool. Yoshida manages to get back to half guard. Yoshida looking for submissions off his back.

Andersson wants to free his trapped foot but Yoshida is holding on for dear life with his legs. Yoshida is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Andersson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Andersson's back! Andersson is in bad spot here.
Andersson just trying to survive but Yoshida is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Andersson covering up well and avoiding damage. Andersson showing good submission defense here.

Andersson wants to work for an arm triangle but Yoshida is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Yoshida accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Yoshida throws a big elbow that misses. Andersson has his feet on Yoshida's thighs here. He's pushed Yoshida off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Yoshida screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wakoko Wakeke! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sloppy strikes from Wakeke. Those never looked like landing. A decent looking cross lands there for Avery. Nice shot lands for Avery. Avery lands a nice leg kick that just misses Wakeke's sensitive parts. Avery lands a nice shot that snaps Wakeke's head back.
Wakeke takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A nice inside leg kick there by Avery. That's going to slow Wakeke down. Wakeke moves forwards but Avery connects with a nice, crisp jab. A slapping leg kick lands for Avery.
Avery throws a leg kick but Wakeke sees it coming and checks it nicely. Avery getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Avery avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wakeke tries to close the distance and clinch up but Avery swats him away and circles back towards the center. Avery drops down looking for a counter takedown but Wakeke sprawls and moves away. A lazy left from Avery finds it's target. Avery will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A nice inside leg kick there by Avery. That's going to slow Wakeke down. A jab from Avery misses. Wakeke closes the distance and clinches. Avery is trying to maintain a safe position but Wakeke gets an underhook and turns Avery into the cage.

Avery is trying to drag Wakeke to the mat but Wakeke just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Avery jumps into guard, dragging Wakeke to the mat.
Wakeke throws an elbow that misses. Avery uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Wakeke's guard. Nice move by Avery! Avery trying to control the position from guard on top but Wakeke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Avery stands and throws Wakeke's legs to the side, diving into side control. Avery looks up at the clock and then as Wakeke takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Avery smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Avery working the head and body with strikes. Wakeke really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Avery. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Avery is working to tighten his grip on Wakeke's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Wakeke has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Avery is really squeezing tight and eventually Wakeke passes out! Avery breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

and Wilson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Wilson. Wilson gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jane is trying to control but can't.
Wilson prevents Jane from improving his position. Wilson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Wilson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Wilson controlling the pace. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jane stuffs the takedown attempt from Wilson. Wilson gets slowly back to his feet. Jane tries to clinch there but Wilson circles away.

Mark Wilson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Watanabe displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Taglerino throws out the jab. Watanabe appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Nice defenses there by Taglerino. Taglerino pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Watanabe bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Watanabe will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Taglerino attempts a counter takedown but Watanabe avoids it well and moves away. Taglerino shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Modack moves away from the strike by Murphy. A lazy left from Murphy finds it's target. The fighters circling - Murphy throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Modack uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Murphy. Murphy clinches up with Modack and pushes him back against the cage. Modack breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Modack throws a body kick that misses. Modack looks to land a combination but Murphy avoids it well. Murphy throws a shot from downtown. Modack moves away and avoids it. I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Jim Murphy decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world.
