Ton bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. StepChild tries to improve position but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ton is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, StepChild has escaped the position, nice work there.
Ton tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Ton working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Ton is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. StepChild is trying to escape and Ton transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and StepChild is forced to tap! Nice work there by Ton! Very nice indeed!

8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pierre Laprise! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.

Andersen pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Laprise has a takedown stuffed. Andersen is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A jab from Andersen does it's job there. Andersen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Laprise fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Laprise drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Laprise trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Andersen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Laprise is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Andersen looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Andersen is looking to stand up but Laprise isn't so interested in that idea. Laprise trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Laprise drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Andersen dives on top into guard.
Andersen works a leg free and moves into half guard. Laprise told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Andersen trying to pass the guard but Laprise defending well. Andersen frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Laprise tries to reverse the position but Andersen maintains control.

Laprise defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Andersen. Laprise is wriggling around trying to escape.

Laprise seems to have recovered his senses. Laprise on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Andersen works his foot free and advances to mount.
Andersen wants to finish this one by submission but Laprise is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Andersen. Andersen trying to control but Laprise is having none of it.

Andersen stands up from mount. Strange move. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Laprise closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Andersen did well to prevent Laprise getting side control.
Laprise is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Andersen is just riding it out for now. Laprise eventually gives up the hold.
Laprise is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Andersen tries to roll over but Laprise keeps him under control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Erik Andersen dominated that round. The cut man is working on Pierre Laprise's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Laprise keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Andersen. The fighters circling - Andersen throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Laprise changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Andersen dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Andersen misses with a left hand
and Laprise counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Laprise is trying to improve position by moving to mount. Andersen has hold of his neck though and manages to move into guard! All of a sudden, Laprise is in a lot of trouble! Andersen is straining to finish and he's done it! Laprise taps out! Amazing!

Crunch! Wilhelm slams his shin into Atreides's torso. Atreides takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Wilhelm just misses with a punch to the body.
Atreides feints a jab promting Wilhelm to slip. Atreides then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Wilhelm slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Atreides misses with a takedown attempt and Wilhelm counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Atreides is lucky that one didn't land flush. Atreides looks to land a combination but Wilhelm avoids it well. Wilhelm's corner calls for a 1-2. Wilhelm obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Atreides throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wilhelm. Wilhelm throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Steel Penn Alliance lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Folignus is looking to slow Steel Penn Alliance down with leg kicks. Steel Penn Alliance misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Folignus moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Steel Penn Alliance tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Steel Penn Alliance throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Folignus connects with an inside leg kick.
Folignus closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Folignus is looking to advance position but Steel Penn Alliance won't allow it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Steel Penn Alliance is looking to control Folignus's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Steel Penn Alliance avoid being mounted?

Steel Penn Alliance pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Folignus taps out and this one is all over!

Brown is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Daedalus gets his way!
Daedalus has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Brown. Daedalus just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Brown wants to control from the top but Daedalus keeps moving.

Brown loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Daedalus looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Brown throws a jab but it's blocked by Daedalus. A nice side step and Daedalus releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Brown throws a looping overhand right but Daedalus ducks down to avoid it. Brown throws out a loose jab but Daedalus uses good head movement to avoid it. Daedalus feints the counter takedown. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Brown on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Brown throws a hook to the side of Daedalus's head but Daedalus sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Brown takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Daedalus shoots in for a takedown but Brown shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Daedalus throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Brown was covering up waiting for the punch and Daedalus finishes the takedown easily into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Quintus Daedalus dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Brown looks to land a right hand but Daedalus moved out of range. Daedalus blocks a jab. Brown tests Daedalus's chin there with a solid looking shot. Daedalus shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Brown sprawls well. Brown wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Daedalus gets slowly back to his feet.
Daedalus decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Daedalus prevents Brown from improving his position. Daedalus is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown actively working from the bottom here. Daedalus has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Doby winds up and cracks Boon with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Horrible takedown attempt by Glyde or perhaps it was just good defense by Pencil, which made it look bad. Glyde tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pencil manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Glyde fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Glyde scoring well with a low kick there.

Glyde misses with a leg kick. Glyde fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Pencil is out of range. Pencil changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Pencil connects with a high kick. Pencil misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Requina misses with a low kick as Hemsky jumps back. Hemsky avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Requina swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Nice straight punches there by Hemsky. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Hemsky. Hemsky throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hemsky lands a jab.

The fight stays on the outside here - Hemsky looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Requina doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Requina throws a body kick that misses. Hemsky is looking to clinch but Requina is avoiding it.
Hemsky darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Hemsky connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Requina's hands. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Requina rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hemsky moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hemsky misses with a body shot
and Requina counters with a straight right hand. Hemsky works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Hemsky keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Requina. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hemsky lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Hemsky moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Requina throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Hemsky counters with a right hand to the body. Hemsky tries to clinch but Requina moves out of range. Hemsky misses the jab. Hemsky moves into range and connects with a jab. Ladislav Hemsky is winning the standup battle so far. Requina takes a shot right to the bread basket. Hemsky takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Requina misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hemsky.
