The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Permitis blocks the body kick.
Vieira stuffs the takedown.
Permitis avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Permitis shoots for a double leg takedown but Vieira sprawls well. He's pushed Permitis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Permitis looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Vieira!

Permitis tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Permitis has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Vieira got a little sloppy there for a moment and Permitis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vieira has managed to get both his arms back between Permitis's legs - danger averted.

Permitis has his foot on Vieira's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vieira works his way back into a safe position though.

Permitis is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Vieira has his hands clasped together but Permitis extends and breaks Vieira's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Permitis.

Wai shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Watt's guard.
Watt wants to sweep here but Wai controlling him for the moment.
Watt is trying to keep Wai in close.
