Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andy Clark! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boris Vsevolod! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Clark. Vsevolod throws a head kick but Clark moves out of range.
Clark throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vsevolod's waist but Vsevolod gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Clark off to one side. Vsevolod swings away with a body shot that misses
and Clark counters by moving into the clinch. Vsevolod looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Vsevolod is working for takedown but Clark is calmly controlling the position for now. Vsevolod drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Clark. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vsevolod has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Clark avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Vsevolod goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Vsevolod pushes off an throws an elbow but Clark leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Clark has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Vsevolod after a bit of a struggle.

Vsevolod pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Vsevolod ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Clark moves away. Vsevolod pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Clark has a takedown stuffed. Vsevolod is looking to clinch but Clark is avoiding it.
Vsevolod closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Clark quickly recovers to half guard. Vsevolod working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Vsevolod throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Vsevolod thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Vsevolod slips a nice elbow through Clark's hands, connecting with Clark's forehead. Vsevolod looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Clark with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Clark trying to hold on to Vsevolod's head to control him but Vsevolod postures up.

Clark is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Vsevolod is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Clark on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Clark tries to get out of the position. Vsevolod missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Vsevolod connects with a nice short shot to Clark's temple. Clark is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Vsevolod missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Clark is looking for a sweep. Vsevolod is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Clark taking some punishment here, with Vsevolod in his half guard. Clark wants to control but Vsevolod is keeping busy and won't allow it. Vsevolod is nestled in close to Clark, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Ground and pound from Vsevolod. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Vsevolod seems to be working for a kimura but Clark defends the submission attempt. Vsevolod landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Boris Vsevolod dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Clark throws a nice looking combination but Vsevolod bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Clark instigates a clinch. Vsevolod looking to throw knees to the head but Clark is blocking nicely.
Clark wants to take the fight to the mat but Vsevolod manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Clark breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Vsevolod is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Clark has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Clark. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vsevolod moves in looking to clinch but Clark pushes him off. Clark gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Vsevolod counters by moving into the clinch.

Clark shoots in and drives through. Vsevolod sprawls well. Vsevolod pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Boris Vsevolod seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Clark shoots in looking for a takedown but Vsevolod manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Clark's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Clark misses with a double jab.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Clark clinches up against the cage. Clark manages to pull guard.
Vsevolod drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Vsevolod as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Clark screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Vsevolod! Nice submission victory there!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brooks scores with a body shot.
Brooks connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Dakota Brooks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brooks dodges the punch combination from McCurnin.
McCurnin keeps the fight on the outside. McCurnin drives through and clinches with Brooks against the cage.
Brooks keeps control of McCurnin as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. McCurnin just leaning against Brooks, taking a breather. Brooks has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. McCurnin avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. McCurnin misses with a short punch on the inside. Brooks will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McCurnin keeping full guard, as Brooks tries to pass. McCurnin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Brooks manages to get himself to full guard.
Brooks knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McCurnin on the ground. McCurnin wants to pass the guard but Brooks is keeping the position. McCurnin stands up over Brooks, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Brooks looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Brooks is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Bobby B's that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Brooks working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McCurnin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McCurnin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Brooks is breathing heavily.

Brooks is trying to work for a single leg takedown but McCurnin pulls him back up using the underhooks. McCurnin wants to get back to striking at distance but Brooks won't allow it.

Dakota Brooks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Avery McCurnin. Brooks shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. McCurnin eats them both and turns towards Brooks to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. McCurnin rushes Brooks and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

McCurnin swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. McCurnin clinches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Brooks tries to score a body lock takedown but McCurnin shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Brooks turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Brooks manages to end up in side control. McCurnin manages to work his way to half guard, despite Brooks's best efforts. McCurnin pushes Brooks off looking to stand but Brooks dives back in and keeps control.
McCurnin desperately trying to maintain half guard. McCurnin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Brooks's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Brooks's back! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Brooks is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maywho with a poor takedown and Mendes counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Nice takedown defense from Mendes. No joy for Maywho on that attempt. A quick step to the side and Mendes tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Mendes chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Maywho tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mendes manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Maywho takes a shot right to the bread basket. Maywho takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Mendes looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Mendes lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Yusev throwing strikes from guard but Britva blocks nicely. Yusev is fighting to break Britva's control of his arms but Britva is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Dimitri Yusev is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Yusev wants to stand but Britva has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Yusev decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Britva, up you get! Boris Britva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Yusev has managed to clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Dimitri Yusev comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Yusev has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Showtime checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Kabakov looks to score with a jab to the body but Showtime is just out of range. Kabakov throws a body punch but Showtime moves out of range. Kabakov sets himself, and Showtime steps forward looking for the clinch! Kabakov avoids it this time. Kabakov fails to land with a series of punches.
Kabakov throws a solid leg kick but Showtime takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kabakov. Showtime feints the counter takedown. Kabakov showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Showtime.
Showtime just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromKabakov. Showtime throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Showtime thuds a left hand into Kabakov's body. Showtime scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Kabakov is breathing heavily. Kabakov takes a body punch but keeps moving. Kabakov moves out of range of the body kick from Showtime.
Kabakov tries to land a front kick but Showtime steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Kabakov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Showtime moves away. Showtime gets in close and tags Kabakov with a short punch that almost sends Kabakov to the mat! Oh Kabakov is in big trouble! He turns his back on Showtime, trying to create some distance but Showtime rushes him, striking wildly and Kabakov goes down! The referee tackles Showtime into the cage to end the fight! Showtime is one violent man!

Light will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Oleynik shoots in looking for a takedown but Light manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Oleynik's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Oleynik ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Oleynik pounces like a tiger and cracks Light with a vicious hook! Light is down but not out! Oleynik follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yuri throws a leg kick that is checked and Kane counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Spartak Yuri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yuri throws a lazy head kick and Kane counters with a one-two to the body. Yuri wants to slow Kane down by chopping away at his legs. Yuri comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. A head kick misses from Yuri. Kane on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Yuri gets off balance looking for a body kick and Kane counters with a single leg into guard. Yuri didn't expect that. Kane is stalling in the full guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Yuri looking to control.
Kane lands a couple of digs. Kane distracts Yuri with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Kane is in close to Yuri's body, working some short punches and elbows. Kane postures up.

Kane has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Kane shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kane was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Yuri is trying to control Kane's posture but Kane avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kane decides to stand up, so the ref orders Yuri to his feet. Kane scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ground and pound from Kane. Yuri wants to get back to full guard but Kane has mounted him! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Yuri wants to control but Kane is having none of it. Kane sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Kane with a couple of short strikes. Kane controlling the pace for now. Yuri is desperately trying to improve his position but Kane has a good base and remains in mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kane looking to control and managing it successfully. Yuri is trying to reverse the position but instead Kane has taken his back - oops! Kane just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
