The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murphy closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Vanko tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

It looks like Ivan Vanko has been cut. I was talking to Murphy's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. A head punch on the inside from Murphy fails to land. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Vanko has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. A nice left hand lands by Murphy.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rehab stuffs the takedown. Aberdeen doesn't succeed with the takedown and Rehab counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Aberdeen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. As Aberdeen looks to move away, Rehab throws a big counter combo bu Aberdeen just gets out of the way. Rab Rehab has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brendon Aberdeen. Rehab tries to work over Aberdeen's front leg with a kick but Aberdeen checks it. Aberdeen dives in and grabs Rehab's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rehab pushes down on Aberdeen's head and hops out. Rehab tries to counter with a takedown but Aberdeen is quick to defend against it. Rehab stuffs the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Aberdeen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rehab is fending him off so far but Aberdeen persists. Nope, Rehab circles away and we're back to standing. Rehab defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Aberdeen. Rehab connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Aberdeen's hands.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aberdeen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rehab sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Aberdeen somewhat. Aberdeen shoots in looking for a takedown. Rehab tries to sprawl out of it but Aberdeen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rehab manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Aberdeen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Aberdeen tries to clinch up but Rehab circles away and keeps his distance. Aberdeen throws a low kick but it's checked well by Rehab. Aberdeen shoots in but Rehab avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Aberdeen is rocked! Rehab lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Aberdeen out cold! Aberdeen is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Rab Rehab! After winning the bout, Rab Rehab thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

Conrad seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Garavito does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. A head kick by Garavito misses and Conrad counters with a single leg into guard. Garavito didn't expect that. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Conrad is in close to Garavito's body, working some short punches and elbows. Conrad with a flurry of punches that miss. Conrad trying to control but Garavito is working from the bottom. Garavito doesn't seem bothered though. Conrad lunges at Garavito with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Garavito's hand. No joy there for Conrad, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Ding bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Ding wants to take a breather but Hug manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Ding. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ding working some strikes from top position. Ding stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hug swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jae Sung is staying active underneath Cook, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Cook thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jae Sung's head. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Basilan feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Aokis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
It looks like Tatsuya Aoki has been cut. Basilan misses with a body kick. Basilan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Aoki moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Aoki let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Aoki throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Basilan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Aoki avoids a kick to the body.
Aoki drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Basilan defends it well. A slapping leg kick lands for Basilan.
