Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Storm Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pista Isvan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Isvan has chosen Fireball as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pista Isvan! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, David Hoff and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson takes a swing at Isvan's ribcage but misses. Isvan appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Isvan is looking to slow Johnson down with leg kicks. Johnson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Johnson looks to score with a jab to the body but Isvan is just out of range. And Isvan responds with a good body kick, but Johnson manages to step out the way in time. Isvan has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Isvan avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Isvan misses with a kick to the body.
Isvan lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Isvan gets cracked there but stands up to it.
A slapping body kick lands there for Isvan. Isvan tries to land a front kick but Johnson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. A little feinted left hand from Johnson on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Isvan connects with a high kick. Isvan ducks right into an uppercut from Johnson. Isvan feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Johnson's calf. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Isvan lands a big head kick that sends Johnson tumbling to the mat! Isvan takes a step backwards and waves Johnson back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Johnson is rocked! Johnson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Isvan. Isvan obviously looking to wear him down.
Oh Johnson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's one minute gone in the round. A head kick misses from Isvan. Johnson seems to have got his legs back now. Isvan misses with a head kick.
It looked like Johnson was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Isvan. Isvan lands a big head kick that sends Johnson tumbling to the mat! Isvan takes a step backwards and waves Johnson back to his feet - he wants the finish! Johnson misses with a hook. Johnson looks to land a right hand but Isvan moved out of range. Johnson moves out of range of the body kick. Johnson swings and misses with a shot to the body and Isvan counters with a body kick. Isvan swings for the body but Johnson moves out of range.
Johnson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Isvan throws a leg kick which misses Johnson's front leg but catches the back leg as Johnson tries to avoid it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Johnson throws a body kick that misses. Johnson swings for the body but Isvan moves out of range.
Isvan lands a big head kick that sends Johnson tumbling to the mat! Isvan takes a step backwards and waves Johnson back to his feet - he wants the finish! Johnson looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Johnson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Isvan moves away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice defenses there by Isvan. Isvan pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. It looked like Johnson was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Isvan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Johnson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Johnson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Isvan at a distance.
Isvan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Johnson looks to score with a jab to the body but Isvan is just out of range. Isvan looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Johnson swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Johnson lands a nice shot to the body.
Isvan is looking to slow Johnson down with leg kicks. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Isvan! Johnson is out on his feet! Isvan rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Johnson is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Johnson is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chan closes the distance and pushes McGuiness back into the cage. A body shot lands from Chan.
McGuiness is breathing heavily. Chan throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Chan comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
It looks like Paddy McGuiness has been cut. McGuiness throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Chans head. Chan lands a nice elbow. McGuiness misses with a punch to the body.
Nice elbow from Chan. Chan lands an elbow inside. McGuiness working some nice short punches in the clinch. A nice glancing elbow lands by Chan. McGuiness takes an elbow to the temple. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chan lands a nice elbow.
Paddy McGuiness's cut is getting worse. McGuiness definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. McGuiness blocks an elbow strike. Chan lands a nice elbow. Nice elbow from Chan. Chan gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Chan creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through McGuiness's defenses.
McGuiness is rocked!
Paddy McGuiness's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Chan creates some distance and fires off a vicious elbow that drops McGuiness! He pounces and finishes the fight with more strikes! Nice KO for Chan.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johnny Chan! An out of breath Johnny Chan thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sitko fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Unz, pushing him back against the cage. Sitko is pressed up against the cage. Unz has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sitko down to the mat. Sitko avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Unz tries to keep at a distance but Sitko has taken the fight into the clinch. Sitko slowing the pace effectively. Unz has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Sitko is trying to keep an underhook but Unz manages to get the takedown into half guard. Unz in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Sitko tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Unz!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lazaro takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Lazaro swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Lazaro takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Henderson thows a left - swing and a miss! A looping hook to the body misses from Henderson. Lazaro does a little dance to reset his feet. Lazaro throws out a counter right but Henderson avoids it with no problem. Henderson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Hut - $50 in the buildup to the fight. Henderson jabs Lazaro right on the nose. Lazaro blinks but takes it well. Henderson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Lazaro checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Henderson falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Lazaro to counter with a crisp jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A swing and a miss from Lazaro. Henderson swings widly with a right hand
and Lazaro counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Ray Henderson has been cut. Henderson misses with a double jab.
Lazaro is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Henderson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lazaro displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Henderson throws out the jab. Henderson lands with a right hand. Lazaro ducks under a wild hook from Henderson. Lazaro is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Henderson cracks Lazaro with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Henderson lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Henderson misses with a looping right. Henderson throws a leg kick that is checked and Lazaro connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

enabling Lazaro to counter with a crisp jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Henderson misses with an uppercut
and Lazaro counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Henderson pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Lazaro wants to counter the offense by Henderson and move into the clinch position. Henderson connects with a body shot that sends Lazaro's belly button to the back. Henderson loads up on a big right hand but Lazaro slips the punch. Henderson misses with a lunging right hand
and Lazaro counters with a stiff right hand. Henderson misses the shot to the body. Henderson throws a jab when Lazaro was well out of range. Lazaro steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Henderson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Henderson misses with a body shot
and Henderson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Lazaro checks a leg kick. Lazaro tries to counter by closing the distance. Lazaro might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Henderson digs a good hook to Lazaro's body.
Henderson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Lazaro backs up against the cage.
We've been informed that Lazaro has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Henderson misses with a looping right. Lazaro steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Henderson. Lazaro staying out of range there. Lazaro will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Lazaro is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Henderson had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Henderson misses with a low kick.

and Lazaro counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Henderson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
It seemed like Lazaro was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Henderson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. This has been an exciting period of action! Henderson throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Lazaro to counter with a crisp jab.

and Lazaro counters with a stiff right hand. Henderson throws a low kick but Lazaro moves out of range easily. Lazaro walks into a left hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ray Henderson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ray Henderson's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Lazaro cracks Henderson's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Henderson slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Lazaro can do further damage! This one is done, son!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Paulo Lazaro! Post fight, Paulo Lazaro stared into the camera and said 'This one is for the family!'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riekko looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Riekko is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Riekko definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Riekko misses with a leg kick and Vargas counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Riekko! Vargas is working to tighten his grip on Riekko's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Riekko has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Vargas is really squeezing tight and eventually Riekko passes out! Vargas breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Luche throws out a loose jab but Pasty uses good head movement to avoid it. Luche takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Luche's coach down at The Hut - $50 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Luche's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Pasty darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Luche ducks under a wild hook from Pasty. Luche pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Luche avoids the body shot from Pasty.
Pasty throws a shot from downtown. Luche moves away and avoids it. Pasty lands with an uppercut that bounces Luche off the cage and back into range. Pasty sends Luche crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Pasty is motioning to the referee to let Luche up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Luche is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pasty throws an uppercut from hell that sends Luche clean off his feet! He's out cold! Pasty stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hood lands a really nice looking cross but Schopenhauer seems unphased.
Hood's coach down at Highland Brawl Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hood's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Hood cracks Schopenhauer with a good jab. Nice body punch from Hood. Hood cracks Schopenhauer with an open hand slap. Hood lands with a right hand. Schopenhauer tries to keep at a distance but Hood has taken the fight into the clinch. Schopenhauer tries to pull guard but Hood won't allow it.
Schopenhauer tries to pull guard but Hood forces him back to his feet, against the cage. A left hand lands to the body for Hood.
Hood lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Schopenhauer backwards. Hood lands an uppercut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Schopenhauer jumps guard but Hood turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arthur Schopenhauer. Schopenhauer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Schopenhauer gets tackled into the cage by Hood. Hood maintains the clinch. Hood misses with a knee to the head. A frustrated look appears on Schopenhauer's face as he tries to break the clinch. Schopenhauer fails to pull guard.

Hood lands a shoulder strike. Schopenhauer tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hood just stands there and leans against the cage. Schopenhauer is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Hood to keep the fight standing. Hood pushes Schopenhauer back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. A bit of stalling here from Hood.
Schopenhauer's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hood creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Hood with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Hood lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Schopenhauer tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hood just stands there and leans against the cage. A nice left hand lands by Hood.
Schopenhauer is rocked! A shot in the inside from Hood. Oh Schopenhauer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hood presses Schopenhauer against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Schopenhauer seems to have got his legs back now. Schopenhauer managing to block the knees to the body from Hood.

Hood works on Schopenhauer's body with a couple of short punches. Schopenhauer is breathing heavily. Hood lands a left hand that snaps the head of Schopenhauer backwards. Hood lands with a short head shot on the inside. Hood lands a body shot. Hood digs a right hand underneath Schopenhauer's ribcage. Schopenhauer let out a lung full of air as it connected. Hood makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Hood just leaning against Schopenhauer, taking a breather.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hood leaning his opponent against the cage. Hood continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. Hood throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Schopenhauers head. Hood is leaning against Schopenhauer and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Hood drops Schopenhauer onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Schopenhauer is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet! Hood stalls. Hood content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Hood just stands there and leans against the cage. A short right hand to the side of the head by Hood. I was talking to Schopenhauer's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Schopenhauer tries to pull guard but Hood holds him up against the cage and eventually Schopenhauer drops back down to his feet.

Schopenhauer walks into a stiff left hand from Hood. Nice uppercut there from Hood. Hood moves into the clinch. Hood controlling the action here for a moment.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hood lands an elbow inside that Schopenhauer shrugs off. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lucas Hood dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Schopenhauer shoots for a double leg takedown but Hood sprawls well. He's pushed Schopenhauer's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
It looks like Arthur Schopenhauer has been cut. Hood throws a good cross that connects.
Schopenhauer darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Schopenhauer is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hood doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Schopenhauer. Schopenhauer has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Schopenhauer working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schopenhauer fails to take his opponent's back. Hood defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Schopenhauer. Hood keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Schopenhauer working for a submission but Hood is keeping him at bay. Hood is looking to improve his position but Schopenhauer isn't that keen on the idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schopenhauer is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hood can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The cut above Cornelius Christiansen's eye is starting to cause him problems now. A nice glancing elbow lands by Pipkin. Pipkin being controlled against the cage. Both guys are working to get underhooks. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Cornelius Christiansen. A combination from Pipkin does no damage. Pipkin clinches with his opponent.

Cornelius Christiansen's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pablo lands a leg kick that knocks Laloosh off balance momentarily. Pablo definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Laloosh avoids the head kick by Pablo.
Laloosh fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pablo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Pablo pivots, looking for a leg kick but Laloosh is out of range and Pablo settles back down. Laloosh takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Petey Pablo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Laloosh staying out of range there. Pablo lands a jab to the nose. Pablo throws out a loose jab but Laloosh uses good head movement to avoid it. Good exchange - Laloosh coming out on top. Laloosh lands with a straight right. Pablo didn't see that one coming. Pablo lands the left hand. A low kick from Pablo misses and Laloosh connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pablo lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Laloosh swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Pablo. Laloosh drops Pablo with a beautiful combination! Pablo stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Laloosh is looking for the KO!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Pablo throws a wild body kick that Laloosh sees coming a mile off. Laloosh looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Laloosh cracks Pablo with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Pablo tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Laloosh pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Pablo is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nuke Laloosh! Nuke Laloosh very nearly forgot to thank Vikai Gear Island amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
