The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rainey looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. We've been hearing reports that Rainey has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Tsubasa dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Rainey walks into a jab. Rainey gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Tsubasa holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Rainey jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tsubasa walks away with a smile on his face. Rainey gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Rainey's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Tsubasa connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Rainey scrambles back to his feet. Tsubasa looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Rainey looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Rainey darts in looking for a takedown but Tsubasa gets double underhooks and turns Rainey into the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Trent Rainey. Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Tsubasa screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Taiki Tsubasa! A very excited looking Taiki Tsubasa rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harebell tries to clinch there but Washington circles away.
As Harebell backs off Washington throws a huge counter combo but Harebell manages to avoid it all. Washington moves into range and clinches up with Harebell. Washington is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Harebell can't fight it off and eventually Washington manages to take the fight to the floor. Harebell looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Harebell throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Washington escapes and throws Harebell's legs to the side, diving into side control! Harebell has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Washington scoring with punches from side control. Harebell takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Harebell is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Washington working away. Washington cracks Harebell with a big elbow. Washington cracks Harebell with an elbow. That is naaassty. Harebell is looking for a sweep. Washington decides to stand up, so the ref orders Harebell to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Washington is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Harebell like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Harebell from another fist facial!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mettenberger swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Chekov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mettenberger tries to avoid it but Chekov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mettenberger to the ground. Mettenberger escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Mettenberger unleashes a big counter combination but Chekov bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Chekov shoots in for a double leg but Mettenberger sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Chekov has his takedown stuffed and Mettenberger counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Vladmir Chekov has been cut. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vladmir Chekov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chekov tries to clinch there but Mettenberger circles away.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Neal scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Cobblepot doesn't seem bothered though. Neal uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cobblepot.
It seemed like Neal was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Cobblepot takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Cobblepot throws a hook but Neal blocks it. Cobblepot takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
It looks like Oswald Cobblepot has been cut. Neal is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Cobblepot flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Cobblepot is out cold! Neal holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walter fails with the takedown. It looked like Edgar wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. A head kick misses from Walter. Edgar lands a jab-cross combination. Nice body punch from Edgar. Walter throws a head kick but Edgar moves out of range.

That made a horrendous noise. Walter on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Walter tries to move into range but Edgar moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. No joy there for Edgar, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Edgar has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lesnar connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Anders bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Nice takedown defense from Anders. No joy for Lesnar on that attempt. Anders appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Anders slips a jab from Lesnar. Anders feinted with a counter takedown. Anders tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lesnar paws at him with a jab and circles away. Horrible takedown attempt by Lesnar or perhaps it was just good defense by Anders, which made it look bad. Lesnar instigates a clinch. Lesnar fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Phuthong eventually gives up the hold. Wu makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Wu tries to close the distance and clinch but Phuthong swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Phuthong attempts a counter takedown but Wu avoids it well and moves away. Wu throws out a loose jab but Phuthong uses good head movement to avoid it. Wu shoots in and drives through. Phuthong sprawls well. Phuthong feinted with a counter takedown. Wu wants to advance to full mount but Phuthong doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Phuthong looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Wu has picked Phuthong up and slammed him! Phuthong can't keep hold of the triangle and Wu manages to pass to side control! Handsome Phuthong has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Phuthong is trying to get back to half guard. Wu laying and praying for a moment but Phuthong takes advantage and regains half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Phuthong wants to get back to full guard. Wu controlling the pace. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Phuthong tries to roll over but Wu keeps him under control.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Charles Wu. Well Wu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
