Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alarcon Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Average Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramirez comes to the cage accompanied by War is my destiny. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Alarcon Ramirez ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Average Joe! The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Ben Hemmingworth and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Joe crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ramirez - the referee stops the clock and Joe gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ramirez . Joe manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Joe uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ramirez .
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Joe! But no joy. Ramirez throws a body punch but Joe moves out of range. Joe ducks under a wild hook from Ramirez . Ramirez throws a body kick that misses. Ramirez is looking to land body kicks. Joe throws a low kick but Ramirez avoids it. Ramirez misses with an attempted mid kick.

Joe throws a jab when Ramirez was well out of range. A low kick from Ramirez misses and Joe counters with a good low kick that Ramirez was not able to check. Joe scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Ramirez is looking to score with low kicks. Joe thows a left - swing and a miss! Ramirez closes the distance and pushes Joe back into the cage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Joe wants to get back to striking at distance but Ramirez won't allow it.

Joe steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Ramirez . That one must have hurt. Ramirez misses with a body kick. Ramirez jabs at Joe's body. Joe's jab looks to have found its range, popping Ramirez under the eye. Joe has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Ramirez . Ramirez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Joe moves away. Ramirez throws a leg kick and Joe counters with a two punch combo. Alarcon Ramirez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Joe thuds a left hand into Ramirez 's body. Joe scores with a takedown into Ramirez 's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ramirez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Joe can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Joe postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Joe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ramirez swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ramirez wants to sweep but no luck. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ramirez throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Joe wants to control from the top but Ramirez keeps moving. Joe makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Ramirez is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Joe defends well. Joe keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ramirez 's head. Joe postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Ramirez looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Joe passes into half guard.

A close round but Average Joe will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Joe lands a jab. Average Joe is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ramirez feints and then cracks Joe's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Joe down. A big right from Ramirez misses. Joe jabbing away but nothing is landing. Joe keeps the fight on the outside. Ramirez is looking to wear down Joe with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Joe misses with the combination.

Ramirez is looking to chop away at Joe's legs. Ramirez throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Ramirez takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Joe displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Joe lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Ramirez looks to land a strike but Joe avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Ramirez throws a big right hand that misses. Joe is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Ramirez throws a strike but Joe rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Joe working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Joe landing some decent shots from guard. Ramirez working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Joe.

This has been an exciting period of action! Ramirez is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Ramirez gets full guard. Ramirez looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Joe drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Joe jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Ramirez working for submissions but it's allowed Joe to get to half guard.

Ramirez is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Joe pulls his head out easily. Joe has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Ramirez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Nice strikes from Joe there. Average Joe has got the better of the ground game so far. Ramirez looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Joe is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Joe lands with a punch from half guard. Joe working over Ramirez with some ground and pound. Ramirez looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Ramirez is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Joe pulls his head out easily. Average Joe is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Ramirez tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Joe content to control rather than advance. Ramirez wants to get back to full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ramirez looking for submissions off his back. Ramirez looking for submissions off his back.
And that's the end of the fight! Average Joe comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Joe winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gaffney gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kessler counters with a nice low kick that buckles Gaffney's knee momentarily. A jab from Kessler finds it's way through Gaffney's defenses. Some wild striking there from Gaffney.
Kessler punishes Gaffney's body with a nice straight punch. Gaffney tries to bum rush Kessler with a series of wild strikes but Kessler uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Gaffney shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kessler is trying to defend but Gaffney finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kessler takes a swing at Gaffney's ribcage but misses. Gaffney lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Gaffney darts in looking for a takedown but Kessler gets double underhooks and turns Gaffney into the cage. Sloppy strikes from Kessler. Those never looked like landing. Gaffney scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kessler in his tracks. A clash of legs there as Gaffney blocks the low kick. Gaffney avoids the head kick by Kessler.

Gaffney shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kessler pinned against the cage. Kessler gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Johann Kessler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hamish Gaffney. A nice leg kick lands there from Kessler. Kessler lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Kessler fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. No joy there for Gaffney, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Gaffney throws a right and a left that both miss. A head kick misses from Gaffney. A right-left combo lands from Gaffney. Hamish Gaffney seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kessler attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Gaffney works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kessler lands a big head kick that sends Gaffney tumbling to the mat! Kessler takes a step backwards and waves Gaffney back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Hamish Gaffney has been cut. Gaffney keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kessler. Gaffney lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Gaffney is still on wobbly legs! Can Kessler finish him? We've been told by Kessler's head coaches at Seventh House that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. An inside leg kick lands from Kessler. Gaffney misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. A little feinted left hand from Kessler on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Gaffney fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kessler manages to avoid it. Gaffney plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Gaffney seems to have recovered his senses. Johann Kessler is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Gaffney throws a hook to the side of Kessler's head but Kessler sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Gaffney scoring well with a low kick there.
Kessler misses with a body kick. Despite the aggression on Gaffney's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Gaffney throws a sloppy head kick and Kessler moves out of range easily. Kessler tries to land a front kick but Gaffney steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Kessler throws a sloppy head kick and Gaffney moves out of range easily. Gaffney scores with a one two! Kessler had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Gaffney throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kessler was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Kessler takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Gaffney with a lazy takedown attempt and Kessler counters with a nice uppercut. A slow jab from Kessler misses its intended target. Gaffney on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Gaffney shoots in for a takedown but Kessler shows good takedown defense. Johann Kessler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hamish Gaffney. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Kessler throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
An inside leg kick lands from Kessler. Kessler takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Kessler lands a head shot. Kessler looks for the body kick but Gaffney saw that one coming. Kessler thumps Gaffney with a low kick. Gaffney throws a sloppy head kick and Kessler counters with a big head kick but Gaffney shrugs it off. Kessler pounces like a tiger and cracks Gaffney with a vicious hook! Gaffney is down but not out! Kessler follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Johann Kessler! A relieved looking Johann Kessler thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some bone on bone action there as Del Fuago checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Ramos throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Del Fuago sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ramos throws the left hand but Del Fuago avoids the punch easily. Ramos lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Moreira takes a body punch but keeps moving. Sakara thows a leg kick but Moreira checks it and Moreira counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Moreira misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sakara looks to land a left hand but Moreira moved out of range nicely. Moreira takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Sakara jabs at Moreira's body. Sakara checks a leg kick nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Moreira takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sakara crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Moreira - the referee stops the clock and Sakara gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Moreira. Sakara manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sakara lands a nice looking body shot.

On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Pol doesn't seem phased though. Ishii moves out of range as Pol strikes. Ishii fires out a quick counter leg kick but Pol just manages to avoid it. Pol delivers a nice body kick. Pol lands a jab to Ishii's midsection. Good work by Pol as he checks the leg kick. Ishii misses with a low kick. Pol listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Ishii swinging wildly here.
Ishii fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Pol is out of range. Pol tries to close the distance and clinch but Ishii swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ishii is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pol. Pol feints a counter leg kick. Pol bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ishii's head. Ishii walks into a jab. Ishii scores with a hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pol takes the fight into the clinch. Pol looking to stall.
Ishii misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Pol misses with a hook from the clinch. Pol tries to work over Ishii's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Ishii tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Pol lands with a light punch inside. Pol tries to throw a body punch but Ishii avoids it by throwing Pol back against the cage. Ishii blocks an uppercut.
Ishii breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Pol is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ishii. Ishii uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pol. The fighters circle, before Pol throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Ishii's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Pol lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
