With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kevin Carmichael!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Carmichael.
Carmichael lunges at Sweet with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Sweet's hand.
Kevin Carmichael seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carmichael lands the left hand.
Carmichael is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sweet.
Sweet throws a big counter combination but Carmichael scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Carmichael lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Sweet definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Sweet has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Carmichael uses from the top position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sweet working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Carmichael doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Carmichael manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Carmichael is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Sweet has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Carmichael is looking to defend but Sweet has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Carmichael! Sweet pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Carmichael taps out and this one is all over!

Mirluk comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Guns N' Roses - Paradise City kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
