The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pride gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Obama breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pride takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Obama gets caught napping as Pride dives in and scores a takedown. Obama manages to retain guard.
Pride pushing down on Obama's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Obama tries to get to full guard but Pride has control of the leg.
Pride thows a huge punch but Obama dodges it nicely.

Zhu is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jabouin.
The crowd cheers as Zhu lands an impressive looking overhand right. Jabouin doesn't seem phased though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've been informed that Jabouin has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Zhu throws a right hand that Jabouin ducks under and follows up with a left that Jabouin also avoids with ease.
Jabouin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Zhu manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Zhu looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

and Jabouin counters with a head kick from the bowels of hell that crumples Zhu! This one is all over!

In his post fight interview, Yves Jabouin started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

Ward bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Brown is trying to improve his position.
Brown tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
We've been hearing good reports from Brown's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Brown wants to control but Ward is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
