Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Geert Geerts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Bk bk! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown attempt by bk or perhaps it was just good defense by Geerts, which made it look bad. Geerts slaps away a takedown attempt from bk, before circling back to the center of the mat. Geerts stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Geerts wants it to stay on the feet. Geerts half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Geert Geerts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bk bk. bk shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Geerts counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. bk keeping moving, preventing Geerts from controlling successfully. Geerts has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Geerts is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Geerts stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. bk swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Geerts trying to control the position from guard on top but bk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. bk keeping full guard, as Geerts tries to pass. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. bk is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. A telegraphed right hand from Geerts misses the target. Geerts gets caught napping as bk dives in and scores a takedown. Geerts manages to retain guard. bk has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Geerts to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! bk is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Geerts pulls down on the head and he's put bk to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Geert Geerts! Bk bk was interviewed post fight and said 'Thanks for coming out to see the fight '.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arm looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Panterson changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Arm forces Panterson back against the ropes and clinches. Arm looking to stall.
Panterson lands an elbow inside. Arm tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Arm manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Panterson checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Arm shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Panterson but Panterson pushes him off and we're back to square one. Panterson changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Strong Arm. That's going to take a lot out of him. Arm fails with the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Panterson tries to keep at a distance but Arm has taken the fight into the clinch. Panterson tightens his grip and picks Arm up, before dumping him to the ground. Arm manages to land in guard. Panterson passes Arm's left leg - he's now in half guard. Panterson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Panterson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Arm has managed to free his arm - good work. Panterson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Panterson looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Panterson sitting and controlling from the half guard. Panterson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Arm is trying to control but can't.
Panterson passes to side control. Panterson wants to control but Arm is keeping him busy. Panterson is trying to get an arm triangle but Arm is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Panterson is looking to take a break and control but Arm is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Panterson controls the position from side control. Panterson is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Arm is trying to escape and Panterson transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Arm is forced to tap! Nice work there by Panterson! Very nice indeed!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beling showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ilmarinen.
Beling throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ilmarinen counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Beling throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Ilmarinen blocks it with crossed arms. Ilmarinen is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Beling tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Ilmarinen is looking to take this fight into the clinch. The fight moves into the clinch position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ilmarinen wants to take the fight to the mat but Beling manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Beling goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Beling tries to lock up and control but Ilmarinen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Beling tries to buck Ilmarinen off but he can't manage it. Beling is squirming around, avoiding Ilmarinen's attempts to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beling is desperately trying to improve his position but Ilmarinen has a good base and remains in mount. Beling wants to hold on but Ilmarinen pushes him away. Ilmarinen looking to finish with strikes here!

Ilmarinen sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! This has been an exciting period of action! Ilmarinen throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Ilmarinen misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ilmarinen controlling his opponent. Beling is in all sorts of trouble here.
Beling is squirming around, avoiding Ilmarinen's attempts to control the action. Ilmarinen is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Beling to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Beling shrugs it off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ilmarinen looking to control but Beling is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Beling is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Ilmarinen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Beling really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Ilmarinen wants to control the pace but Beling is squirming around nicely. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Asko Ilmarinen dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Ilmarinen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Beling pinned against the ropes. Beling gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Asko Ilmarinen. That's going to take a lot out of him. A head kick lands from Beling that sends Ilmarinen to the canvas. Ilmarinen tries to scramble back to his feet but Beling brings him back down into side control.
It looks like Asko Ilmarinen has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ilmarinen is looking for a sweep. The ground and pound from Beling seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beling taking a break here but Ilmarinen is having none of it and regains half guard. Beling wants to free his trapped foot but Ilmarinen is holding on for dear life with his legs. Beling working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Ilmarinen gets back to full guard.
Ilmarinen has momentary wrist control but Beling slips an elbow through the middle. Beling really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ilmarinen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ilmarinen is trying to control the position but Beling postures up. Ilmarinen is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Beling is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ilmarinen is on top in guard.
Beling looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ilmarinen stands up over Beling, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Beling has an active guard here but Ilmarinen has managed to pass into half guard.
Ilmarinen keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Ilmarinen missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Asko Ilmarinen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Beling wants to get back to full guard. Beling is trying to stand up here but Ilmarinen is controlling him well.

Alex Beling showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Asko Ilmarinen's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Beling lands with a kick to the temple. Ilmarinen shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Beling misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ilmarinen.
Ilmarinen wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Ilmarinen tries to clinch but Beling moves out of range. Ilmarinen tries to close the distance and clinch but Beling swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Beling fakes the leg kick and cracks Ilmarinen in the body. Ilmarinen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Beling sprawls well. Beling wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ilmarinen gets slowly back to his feet. Beling throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Ilmarinen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Beling sprawls well initially but Ilmarinen persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Beling missing with punches from the bottom.
Ilmarinen is trying to control. Beling wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beling is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Ilmarinen controlling the action here. Ilmarinen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Beling keeps working. Ilmarinen slows the pace down in half guard. Ilmarinen thows a huge punch but Beling dodges it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Beling is controlling Ilmarinen's position as best he can from this difficult position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Ilmarinen doesn't manage to clinch there - Beling circles away.
Alex Beling seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fight moves into the clinch position. Beling swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Ilmarinen tries for a takedown but Beling manages to get underhooks.
Beling misses with a knee to the head. Ilmarinen can't break the clinch.
Ilmarinen doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Beling gets control of Ilmarinen's arms and successfully pulls guard. Beling will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Ilmarinen wants to control from the top but Beling keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ilmarinen stops Beling from standing up. Ilmarinen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Ilmarinen wanted to stand there but Beling had control of the position. Beling keeping moving, preventing Ilmarinen from controlling successfully. Ilmarinen passes Beling's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Beling trying to control here.
Ilmarinen trying to control from half guard but Beling is working away. Ilmarinen works his foot free and advances to mount. Ilmarinen controlling the pace for now. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Beling tries to hold on but Ilmarinen postures up. Ilmarinen looking to control and managing it successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Alex Beling. I think Beling has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Piechocki with a lazy takedown attempt and Lokren counters with a lovely straight right hand! Piechocki drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Lokren's jab looks to have found its range, popping Piechocki under the eye. Piechocki takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Lokren darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Lokren seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Piechocki takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Piechocki is rocked! Piechocki moves into the clinch. Piechocki is still on wobbly legs! Can Lokren finish him? A frustrated look appears on Lokren's face as he tries to break the clinch. Piechocki effectively controlling the action here. Lokren is looking to break free of the clinch but Piechocki has double underhooks. Lokren is trying to break the clinch but Piechocki is controlling him. Piechocki seems to have recovered his senses. Lokren jumps guard and drags Piechocki to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Lokren keeping moving, preventing Piechocki from controlling successfully. Lokren on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lokren tries to get out of the position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lokren is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Piechocki throwing strikes from guard but Lokren blocks nicely. Piechocki trying to control the position from guard on top but Lokren is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Piechocki stands up from Lokren's guard - Piechocki perhaps looking for a knockout. Piechocki misses with a double jab.
Lokren defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Piechocki. Lokren swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Lokren scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Lokren stuffs the takedown attempt from Piechocki. Piechocki gets slowly back to his feet. Sairanix Lokren has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ariel Piechocki.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Piechocki takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Piechocki with a poor takedown and Lokren counters with a left to the body. Lokren displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Piechocki. A little feinted left hand from Lokren on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Sairanix Lokren is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lokren lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Lokren scores with a hook. Piechocki misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Lokren fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lokren uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Piechocki has time to react. Piechocki fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Lokren swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Lokren lands a really nice looking cross but Piechocki seems unphased.
Lokren cracks Piechocki with a hook to the temple - Piechocki is on wobbly legs here! Lokren swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Piechocki falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Lokren wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Sairanix Lokren! Sairanix Lokren seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Cox.
Miller throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cox. Miller wants to clinch. Cox tries a head kick but it misses.
Miller shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cox as he avoids it easily. Good leg kick by Cox there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Cox lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Miller circles away quickly and effectively. No joy there for Cox, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Embernate shoots for a takedown but Kamon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Embernate stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kamon. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morrison with a lazy takedown attempt and Martell counters with a left to the body. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Morrison checks a leg kick. Morrison tries for a takedown but Martell sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. We've been hearing reports that Morrison has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Martell with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Martell feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Morrison's calf. Morrison is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Morrison shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Martell defends it nicely. Martell feints a counter leg kick. Morrison takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

That's going to sap some energy. Morrison seems to have got his legs back now. Martell throws a leg kick which misses Morrison's front leg but catches the back leg as Morrison tries to avoid it. Morrison takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Martell fakes the leg kick and cracks Morrison in the body. Martell drops Morrison with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Morrison! Martell dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
