15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rodrigo Palmares! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Palmares shoots in and gets a takedown into Laane's guard. Laane tries to land a sweep but no joy. Laane wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Palmares is now in half guard. Laane is trying to maintain the position but Palmares is very close to passing his half guard. Laane blocking the ground and pound attempt from Palmares. Laane is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Laane is looking to escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Palmares is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Laane is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Palmares stalling. Palmares stops Laane from getting back to his feet.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Laane is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Palmares's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Palmares's back! Laane will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Laane throwing sloppy strikes. Laane throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.

Laane tries to pass the half guard into mount. Palmares knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Palmares has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Laane is working away from the top position though. Palmares is trying to stand.
Palmares keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Palmares manages to get to full guard.
Laane wants to pass the guard but Palmares is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Laane stopping the sweep attempt from Palmares. Palmares not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Palmares working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Laane. Laane stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Palmares swivels though and keeps the full guard. Palmares is trying to keep Laane in close.
Laane trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Laane looking to pass the guard. Laane is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Rape Academy that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Laane trying to control but Palmares is working from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Laane lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Palmares circles away quickly and effectively. Palmares uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Laane. Laane misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Palmares throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Laane appears to be looking for a big counter. Laane scores with a one two! Palmares had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Palmares shoots in and drives through. Laane sprawls well. Laane swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Palmares is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Laane's half guard. Laane is looking for a sweep. Palmares is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Palmares with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Laane is looking to improve his position.

That was a close round but I would say that Andrus Laane will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Palmares with a poor takedown and Laane counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Andrus Laane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodrigo Palmares. Laane throws a sloppy head kick and Palmares moves out of range easily. Palmares tries to counter with a clinch but Laane shakes him off and moves away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Palmares lands a couple of elbows. Rodrigo Palmares has got the better of the ground game so far. Palmares stands and steps away. Laane gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Laane misses with a series of wild punches.
Laane tries to clinch but fails miserably and Palmares counters with a nice double leg into guard. Laane looking to control.
Palmares trying to control the position from guard on top but Laane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Laane looking to hit a scissor sweep but Palmares is one step ahead there. Palmares slips nicely into half guard. Palmares works his foot free and advances to mount. Laane wants to hold on but Palmares pushes him away. Laane has left one of his arms exposed and Palmares doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Laane screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Golden takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like Trey Golden has been cut. Golden misses with a body shot.
Datsik throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Golden misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Datsik tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Datsik throws a half hearted mid kick. Datsik scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Datsik will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Golden takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Golden is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Golden - that will leave a mark!
Golden displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Datsik throws out the jab. Dante Datsik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Datsik shoots in for a takedown but Golden shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Golden checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Datsik with a poor takedown and Golden counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Datsik lands a leg kick that knocks Golden off balance momentarily. Datsik with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
We've been hearing reports that Datsik has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Trey Golden is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Golden checks the leg kick. Datsik scores with a shot to the body.

Golden utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Golden is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Datsik is controlling him. Datsik with a flurry of punches that miss. Datsik won't allow Golden to get back to his feet. Datsik postures up in Golden's guard and throws a big left but Golden blocks it. Golden preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Datsik throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Golden works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Datsik throws a right and a left that Golden avoids nicely.

Golden leaves Datsik with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Golden now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Datsik is looking to counter with head kicks. Golden takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Golden throws the kick towards the body but Datsik avoids it. Golden blocks a low kick nicely. Golden looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Datsik throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. A little jabbing left from Golden on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. A low kick from Datsik is predictable there and Golden makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Datsik throws a predictable looking body shot
and Golden counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Datsik! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!

Lou Nahtic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nahtic slaps away a takedown attempt from Cruz, before circling back to the center of the mat. Nahtic really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. A right-left combo lands from Nahtic. Cruz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nahtic is fending him off so far but Cruz persists. Nope, Nahtic circles away and we're back to standing. An attempted straight right counter from Nahtic misses the target. Nahtic clobbers Cruz with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Cruz looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Lou Nahtic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Uriah Cruz. Nahtic throws a right and a left that both miss. Nahtic rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cruz moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Nahtic misses with a few strikes there.
Nahtic lands a big head kick that sends Cruz tumbling to the mat! Nahtic takes a step backwards and waves Cruz back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Cruz is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sloppy strikes from Nahtic. Those never looked like landing. Cruz is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Cruz is still on wobbly legs! Can Nahtic finish him? Nahtic lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Cruz falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Li changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tysson tries to avoid it but Li manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tysson to the ground. Tysson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Tysson misses with a right hand and Li counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Li tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tysson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. No joy there for Tysson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Li tries to move into range but Tysson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Li shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tysson pinned against the cage. Tysson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Li closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Tysson's guard. Li throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tysson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Li passes Tysson's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Li not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tysson wants to control but Li is keeping busy and won't allow it. Li looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Li wants to pass to mount but Tysson is defending the position. Tysson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Tysson trying to get back to full guard but Li takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Tysson is squirming around, avoiding Li's attempts to control the action. Li wants to take his opponent's back but Tysson doesn't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tysson can't escape the position.

Rockin lands a head kick. Woodley smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Woodley connects with a nice looking jab.
Woodley throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Woodley sets himself, and Rockin steps forward looking for the clinch! Woodley avoids it this time. A decent looking body kick lands there for Rockin. Woodley thuds a left hand into Rockin's body. Rockin throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Woodley misses with a wild body shot. Woodley misses with an uppercut. A nice inside leg kick there by Woodley. That's going to slow Rockin down. Woodley drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rockin tries to escape but Woodley is in control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rockin is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Rockin looking for submissions off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
