With a record of 10 - 7 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johnny Luca!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Sambo Rambo!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Phil Schofield and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rambo drives through with a takedown into Luca's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Luca wants to sweep but no luck.

Rambo isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Luca stacks Rambo on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Luca!

Rambo slips a nice elbow through Luca's hands, connecting with Luca's forehead.
Rambo is stalling here. Luca is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Rambo seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Luca has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Rambo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rambo tries to close the distance and clinch but Luca swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Luca jabs Rambo to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Luca tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rambo was well out of range. Poor timing from Luca.
The crowd cheers as Luca lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rambo doesn't seem phased though.
Rambo closes the distance and clinches up with Luca, looking for a takedown. Rambo pushes Luca against the cage but Luca circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
It looked like Luca was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Luca leaves Rambo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Luca lands a big head kick that sends Rambo tumbling to the mat! Luca takes a step backwards and waves Rambo back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Luca engages and cracks Rambo with a massive lead left hook - Rambo tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Luca is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Cross Furia kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Vivaldi's Winter.
