2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Adisa Afolabi! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Daniel Franklin and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Afolabi leaves The Devil with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Afolabi lands a big head kick that sends The Devil tumbling to the mat! Afolabi takes a step backwards and waves The Devil back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Mathew The Devil has been cut. The Devil fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. The Devil fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Afolabi manages to avoid it. Nice sprawl there from Afolabi as The Devil shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mathew The Devil. That's going to take a lot out of him. The Devil doesn't manage to clinch there - Afolabi circles away.
The Devil takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The Devil missing with a left hand there. Afolabi was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. The Devil shoots and misses letting Afolabi counter with a right hand.
The Devil is rocked! Afolabi buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Oh The Devil is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Afolabi lands a nice hook to The Devil's body. The Devil takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. The Devil seems to have got his legs back now. The Devil fails with the takedown and Afolabi counters with a crisp right that sends The Devil to the canvas! Afolabi follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jimenez to the mat! Jimenez manages to get full guard. Jimenez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jimenez can do anything to dispel that myth. Diaz working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Diaz wants to control from the top but Jimenez keeps moving. Diaz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jimenez avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Jimenez preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Diaz throws a big right hand that misses. Jimenez has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Highland Brawl Academy. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diaz with a flurry of punches that miss. Diaz throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jimenez is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Diaz dives into side control.
Jimenez is trying to control Diaz's posture but Diaz avoids it. Diaz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Diaz is putting a hurting on Jimenez here, landing some big shots from side control.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Machado shoots in looking for a takedown. MacDuff tries to sprawl out of it but Machado keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. MacDuff manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Machado fails with the takedown and MacDuff counters with a straight punch to the midsection. MacDuff misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Machado.

MacDuff scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Machado doesn't seem bothered though. MacDuff lands with a hook. Machado tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

It looks like Ali Rahim has been cut. Franks bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rahim's head backwards. Rahim moves out of range of the strikes. Rahim lands a big head kick that sends Franks tumbling to the mat! Rahim takes a step backwards and waves Franks back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Declan Franks has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Franks connects with a solid leg kick. Franks takes a swing at Rahim's ribcage but misses. Rahim throws a big shot that misses. Good standup being displayed there by Franks as he connects with a hook. Franks throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Franks definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Rahim tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Franks was well out of range. Poor timing from Rahim. Rahim looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Rahim throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Rahim tries to close the distance and clinch up but Franks swats him away and circles back towards the center. Franks was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Rahim connects with a right hand. Franks shakes it off. Rahim avoids a punch combination nicely.

Franks lands a left and a right that send Rahim crashing to the mat, dazed. Franks thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Rahim is rocked! Rahim throws a right and a left that both miss. Franks misses the jab. Franks jabbing away but nothing is landing. Rahim throws a sloppy head kick and Franks moves out of range easily. Franks swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Rahim.
That has opened up Ali Rahim's cut even more. Franks is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Franks takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Declan Franks's cut is getting worse. A cross from Rahim lands. Franks fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rahim has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Rahim lands with a slapping head kick. Franks fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rahim manages to avoid it. Ali Rahim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rahim misses with a hook to the body
and Franks cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Franks checks a low kick from Rahim. Rahim throws a lazy head kick and Franks counters with a nice body kick. Rahim looks winded! Rahim dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Franks. That did some damage! Franks with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rahim throws a body shot but no joy. Rahim takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Franks sends Rahim crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Franks is motioning to the referee to let Rahim up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Rahim is still on wobbly legs! Can Franks finish him? Franks ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Rahim out cold! The fight is over!

King tries to keep at a distance but Soul has taken the fight into the clinch. Soul with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Soul pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Soul misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hughes connects with a good right hand that stumbles Dickens. Dickens circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Hughes is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Danga de danga de dang - Hughes scores with a four punch combination!
It looks like Oliver Dickens has been cut. Hughes bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Dickens's head backwards. Hughes defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dickens. Hughes misses with the combination.
Dickens throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hughes's waist but Hughes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dickens off to one side. Hughes ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Perry Hughes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dickens shoots for a takedown but Hughes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oliver Dickens. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dickens shoots and misses and Hughes counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Hughes looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. This has been an exciting period of action! Hughes lands with a good body shot. Hughes cracks Dickens with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Hughes circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Dickens to the canvas! Dickens doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Hughes keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
