The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aragon catches Cartwright with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Aragon lands a nice leg kick that just misses Cartwright's sensitive parts.
Aragon ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Cartwright moves out of range of the strikes.
Aragon throws a chopping leg kick but Cartwright manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cartwright looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Aragon has picked Cartwright up and slammed him! Cartwright can't keep hold of the triangle and Aragon manages to pass to side control!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cartwright accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That was a close round but I would say that Diego Aragon will probably get the nod.

Cartwright has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Aragon is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Aragon was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

and Aragon counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Cartwright! He's just covering up as Aragon starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
