The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jimm shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Schuurman defends it nicely. Jimm closes this distance looking for a takedown but Schuurman circles away. Schuurman moves into the clinch successfully.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maybi wants to clinch up but Sakata keeps it at a distance. We've been hearing reports that Sakata has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Maybi slips under a jab. Sakata misses with a hook. Maybi ducked under it nicely. Maybi pulls out of a head kick attempt.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Five. Run does a little dance to reset his feet. Run fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Five avoids it really well and circles away. Run throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Five was covering up waiting for the punch and Run finishes the takedown easily into guard. Five knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Run on the ground. Run drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Run seems to have locked his on tight now - Five screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Run, as he picks up the win!

Thead pushes Force away with a front kick. Thead delivers a nice body kick. Thead lands a nice looking body kick. Thead throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Force checks a leg kick nicely. A head kick by Force misses and Thead counters with a body kick that stops Force in his tracks momentarily. Thead throws a solid leg kick but Force takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Thead. Force really is a fat lump. Force takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Force crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Thead - the referee stops the clock and Force gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Thead. Force manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Force misses with a body kick. Thead misses with an attempted mid kick.

That sent Force stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Force misses with the body kick letting Thead counter with a right hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shi Thead showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Thead wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Force is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Thead's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. The fighters circle momentarily. Thead darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Thead wants to slow Force down by chopping away at his legs. Thead connects with a body shot that sends Force's belly button to the back. Shi Thead seems to be getting the better of the standup. Thead attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Force tries a head kick but it misses.
Thead moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Thead connects with a single shot there. Nick Force has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Shi Thead is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Thead, right into the meat.
And that's the end of the fight! Shi Thead comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Thead has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Andrade shoots for a double leg takedown but Papa sprawls well. He's pushed Andrade's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Papa tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Andrade has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Andrade fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Kaka Papa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Andrade is defended easily by Papa. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adriano Andrade. That's going to take a lot out of him. Andrade closes the distance and clinches up with Papa, looking for a takedown. Andrade pushes Papa against the cage but Papa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Papa has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Papa looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Andrade! Papa scores with a couple of short elbows. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kirby wants to get back to his feet but Solomon is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Solomon lands a couple of decent looking shots. Kirby looking for a guillotine here but Solomon defends easily.
Kirby has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Solomon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Average might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Average lands a head kick. Strokin smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Strokin paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Strokin throws out a loose jab but Average uses good head movement to avoid it. Average lands a leg kick that knocks Strokin off balance momentarily. Strokin throws the left hand but Average avoids the punch easily. Strokin connects with a body shot that sends Average's belly button to the back. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Strokin throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Average changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Average fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Strokin. Strokin misses the body punch and Average counters with a head kick. That will keep Strokin thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Average lands with a thumping leg kick.
