Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jim Jimm! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Franky Redz! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Santiago Holmes and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Redz tries to clinch but Jimm moves out of range. Redz fails with the takedown. Redz avoids the head kick by Jimm.
Redz drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Redz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jimm has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Redz has managed to get both his arms back between Jimm's legs - danger averted. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Redz tries to free his leg and advance position but Jimm is retaining full guard. Jimm doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Redz sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jimm's guard. Redz is nestled in close to Jimm, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Redz is figuring out what he wants to do next. Jimm could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Jimm keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Redz frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Redz tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Redz cracks Jimm with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Redz looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Redz scoring with strikes but Jimm is staying in there. Redz tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Jimm knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Redz on the ground. Redz dominating with strikes here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Redz unloading with bombs! Redz controlling from the full mount. Jimm keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Jimm is breathing heavily. Redz looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Redz jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jimm manages to avoid the submission attempt. Redz thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Redz working the ground and pound from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Franky Redz dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Redz dives in and grabs Jimm's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jimm pushes down on Redz's head and hops out. Redz keeps the fight on the outside. A looping hook to the body misses from Jimm. Redz does a little dance to reset his feet. Redz tries to counter with a clinch but Jimm shakes him off and moves away. Jimm shoots in but Redz avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jimm takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Redz rushes Jimm and presses him up against the cage. Redz manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jimm misses with a takedown attempt and Redz counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Jimm is lucky that one didn't land flush. Redz rushes Jimm and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Jimm is trying to force a seperation but Redz has the dominant position. Jimm goes for a takedown in the clinch but Redz prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Jimm. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jimm wants to stall.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jimm is trying to pull guard but Redz turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Redz with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Redz drags the fight down to the ground.
Redz lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Redz works a leg free and moves into half guard. Redz landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Redz working Jimm over with strikes. Redz uses his free foot to push down on Jimm's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jimm.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Redz takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Redz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Jimm tries to reverse the position but Redz maintains control. Redz controlling the position easily from mount. Redz working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Jimm looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Redz! Submission of the night perhaps?

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Witczak has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Sutherland Ill Esq looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Witczak is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Three misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Two.
Three throws a lazy right hand but Two sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Two ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Three moves away. Three is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Two. Two tries to counter by clinching up but Three breaks away and moves out of range. Two throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Winner Three has been cut. Two looks for the body kick but Three saw that one coming. Two throws a sloppy head kick and Three moves out of range easily. Two misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Three.
An inside leg kick lands from Three. Two tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Three was well out of range. Poor timing from Two. A little jabbing left from Three on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Two takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Two feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Three's calf. A slapping body kick lands there for Three. Three gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A clash of legs there as Three blocks the low kick. Two tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Three was well out of range. Poor timing from Two. Two lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Three uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Two.
That's one minute gone in the round. Two chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Three can pounce on him.

Two throws a head kick that misses. Three throws a half hearted mid kick. Three throws a low kick, looking for Two's leg but Two calmly moves out of range. Two seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Three lands with a hook. Two tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. A shot to the body from Two misses and Two takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Two throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Two gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Three lands a nice leg kick that just misses Two's sensitive parts. Three misses the shot to the body. A little feinted left hand from Two on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Two takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Three misses with a low kick. Three is looking to slow Two down with leg kicks.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Three checks a leg kick nicely. Two throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A jab from Three does it's job there. Two is looking to wear down Three with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Three cracks Two with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Two takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Two tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Three was well out of range. Poor timing from Two. Two is breathing heavily. Three ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Three misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That has opened up Winner Three's cut even more. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Three throws a leg kick which misses Two's front leg but catches the back leg as Two tries to avoid it. Three throws a half hearted mid kick. Two half committed to a counter leg kick. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Three. Two lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Two connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Three's hands. A punch lands to the side of Two 's head but he takes it in his stride. Three catches Two with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Two throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Winner Three dominated that round. The cut man is working on Winner Three's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Three throws a front kick that sends Two stumbling back into the cage. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Two scores with a spinning back kick! Three avoids the head kick by Two.

Two's corner calls for a 1-2. Two obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Two shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Three - that will leave a mark!
Good work by Two as he checks the leg kick. Two tests Three's chin there with a solid looking shot. Two sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Winner Two dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Winner Three's cut. That's time! Two's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Three ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Two moves away. Three lands a jab to the nose. Two throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Three moves away from the strike by Two. Nice shot lands for Three. Three throws a good cross that connects.
Three lands with a right hand. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Three throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Two lands a really nice looking cross but Three seems unphased.
Two cracks the inside of Three's front leg. Good standup being displayed there by Three as he connects with a hook. Two ducks under a wild hook from Three. A nice leg kick lands there from Three. Two tries to land a leg kick but Three saw it coming and moves away.
Three throws a head kick that misses. Two scores with a body shot.
Two misses with a wild body shot. Two scores with a nice strike. Three's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Two throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Three checks a leg kick nicely. Three feints a counter leg kick. Three throws a quick inside leg kick. Three has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Two. Three plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Two will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Two dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Three. That did some damage! Two throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Three's head. Three throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Two throws out a leg kick but Three moves out of range and Two only half commits. Three throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Three throws a sloppy head kick and Two moves out of range easily. Three tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Two scores with a shot to the body.

Two fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Three. Three tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Two misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A shot to the liver by Three. Beautiful body shot.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Winner Three. I think Three has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Four. Turbo tries to clinch up but Four circles away and keeps his distance. No joy there for Turbo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Four tries to counter with a clinch but Turbo shakes him off and moves away. Four avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Four shoots in but no luck this time. Turbo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Four. Dave Turbo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Winner Four. Four bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Turbo wants to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. An inside leg kick from Turbo misses. Four shoots in looking for a takedown. Turbo tries to sprawl out of it but Four keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Turbo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Turbo appears to be looking for a big counter. Turbo tries to grapple but his opponent circles and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Four shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Turbo as he avoids it easily. Turbo throws a series of punches but Four moves out of range. Turbo is looking to land body kicks. Four will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Turbo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Four paws at him with a jab and circles away. Four shoots in for a takedown but Turbo shows good takedown defense. Turbo stuffs the takedown. Turbo drives through and clinches with Four against the cage.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Matata has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Matata and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. He's pushed Piaso's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Vicious feints the counter takedown. Vicious shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Vicious throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Piaso counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Vicious wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Piaso manages to pass to side control. Piaso looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Piaso has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Piaso is looking for a kimura but Vicious is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Piaso to get the leverage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Qiang swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Taka. Qiang scores with a body shot.
A swing and a miss from Taka. It seemed like Qiang was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Taka takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Qiang scores with a jab to the body. Qiang stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Qiang scores with a jab. Qiang fails to land with a series of punches.
