The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Wilson wants to control but Smith is keeping busy.
Wilson is trying to stand.
Smith trying to mount his opponent but Wilson defends it. Smith wants to work for an arm triangle but Wilson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smith stands up from half guard. Wilson tries to close the distance and clinch but Smith swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Wilson looks to clinch and Smith counters with a head kick from the bowels of hell that crumples Wilson! This one is all over!

Chad Smith decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boets looks to land a right hand but Mabogo moved out of range. Mabogo misses with a wild combination.
Boets throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mabogo was covering up waiting for the punch and Boets finishes the takedown easily into guard. Boets trying to control but Mabogo is working from the bottom. Boets stops Mabogo from standing up. Boets trying to control the position from guard on top but Mabogo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boets forces his way into half guard. Mabogo pushes Boets off looking to stand but Boets dives back in and keeps control.
Mabogo has one foot on Boets's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Some wild striking there from Mabogo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boets tries to clinch but Mabogo is having none of it. Mabogo fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Boets lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mabogo circles away quickly and effectively. No joy there for Boets, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Mabogo counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Boets thinking. Mabogo dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Mabogo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Mabogo throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Boets has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Mabogo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Boets. Boets dives in for a single leg takedown but Mabogo sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Mabogo throws an overhand right that lands on Boets's shoulder, as Boets tries to avoid the shot. Mabogo just misses with a punch to the body.
Boets misses with a double jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Boets gets the takedown into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mabogo is trying to buck Boets off. Mabogo is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Russian Fighting Community Gym, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Mabogo is not content to let Boets control the position. Mabogo pushes Boets away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Boets gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Mabogo explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Kenalemodisa Mabogo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Boets lands a right hook to the body.
Mabogo takes a swing at Boets's ribcage but misses. Mabogo misses with a hook. Boets ducked under it nicely. No joy there for Mabogo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Boets uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mabogo.
Boets with the counter takedown but Mabogo avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mabogo stalks Boets and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Boets's face. Boets staggers backwards, shaken. A punch combination from Mabogo misses. Boets tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. A shot to the liver by Boets. Beautiful body shot. Mabogo is looking to wear down Boets with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Boets fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Dimon Boets seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boets looks to land a combination but Mabogo avoids it well. Mabogo swats away the attempt to clinch by Boets. Mabogo was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Boets lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nice defenses there by Mabogo. Mabogo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Boets.
Mabogo is looking for a counter combo. Mabogo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Boets scores with a three punch combo!
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mabogo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Boets loads up on a big right hand but Mabogo slips the punch. Mabogo throws a sloppy head kick and Boets moves out of range easily. Boets lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mabogo circles away quickly and effectively. Boets throws out a loose jab but Mabogo uses good head movement to avoid it. Some wild striking there from Boets.
As Boets looks to move away, Mabogo throws a big counter combo bu Boets just gets out of the way. Mabogo scores with a shot to the body.
Boets tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mabogo was well out of range. Poor timing from Boets. Oooooh!!! Mabogo has knocked Boets down with a huge combo! Mabogo steps away and waves a wobbly Boets back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Dimon Boets has been cut. Some wild striking there from Boets.
Boets is still on wobbly legs! Can Mabogo finish him? The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Boets looks to land a right hand but Mabogo moved out of range. Boets seems to have recovered his senses. A punch combination from Mabogo misses. Mabogo lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Boets looks to land a combination but Mabogo avoids it well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kenalemodisa Mabogo dominated that round. The cut man is working on Dimon Boets's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Mabogo throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Boets doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Mabogo throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Boets takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Boets closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mabogo circles away. A looping hook to the body misses from Mabogo. Boets does a little dance to reset his feet. Sloppy strikes from Mabogo. Those never looked like landing. Mabogo comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Mabogo lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Mabogo swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Mabogo connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. The fighters circle momentarily. Boets darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Boets swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Boets throws a combination that misses and Mabogo counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Boets wants to stay close but Mabogo steps back to make room for something. Boets seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Mabogo and Boets drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!

After the fight, Kenalemodisa Mabogo was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eikmeyer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Red's waist but Red gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Eikmeyer off to one side. Eikmeyer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Red but Red pushes him off and we're back to square one. Red flicks out a counter leg kick but Eikmeyer steps away. Eikmeyer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Red tries to avoid it but Eikmeyer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Red to the ground. Red escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Eikmeyer looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mario Eikmeyer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Red bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Eikmeyer's head backwards. Eikmeyer shoots in looking for a takedown but Red manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Eikmeyer's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Red appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Eikmeyer shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Red defends it nicely. Red scores with a slapping inside leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Eikmeyer takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Red, right into the meat.

Red looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. No luck for Eikmeyer with that takedown attempt. Red lands with a thumping leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Eikmeyer fails to land the takedown. Eikmeyer fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Eikmeyer shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Red counters with a lovely shot to the body. Eikmeyer is breathing heavily. Both fighters circling a little - Red finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Red scores with a nice head shot. Red closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Eikmeyer! Red dives in looking to finish! Eikmeyer is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Boykiy uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Diego's guard. Nice move by Boykiy! Diego keeping moving, preventing Boykiy from controlling successfully. Boykiy tries to stand but Diego is controlling from the bottom. Boykiy loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Diego quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Boykiy has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Diego celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hearns lands an elbow inside. Kottari blocks an elbow strike from Hearns.

Hearns has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Kottari seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Hearns can turn it around. Kottari goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hearns prevents it.
Kottari gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hearns manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Kottari keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Hearns lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kottari backwards.
Rami Kottari's cut is getting worse. Hearns lands an elbow inside that Kottari shrugs off. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hearns is pushing Kottari up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Kottari has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hearns pressing his opponent against the cage. Kottari is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hearns can't fight it off and eventually Kottari manages to take the fight to the floor. Hearns looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kottari lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Hearns is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kottari is controlling him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kottari showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Kottari trying to control but Hearns is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kottari working some strikes from top position. Kottari tries to free his leg and advance position but Hearns is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kottari seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Hearns preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kottari looking to sit in guard and control but Hearns gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Hearns not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Hearns looking to pass the guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kottari is on top in guard.

Hearns keeping full guard, as Kottari tries to pass. Kottari lands a couple of digs. Kottari lands a couple of decent looking shots. Kottari throws a strike but Hearns rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Hearns is fighting to break Kottari's control of his arms but Kottari is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Hearns wants to control from the top but Kottari keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kottari misses with a straight left. Hearns has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Kottari closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Kottari walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Thomas Hearns seems to be getting the better of the standup. Hearns defending well as Kottari loads up on a big left hand. A swing and a miss from Kottari. Kottari misses the shot to the body. Hearns pushes Kottari up against the cage in a clinch. Hearns using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Kottari has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boykin has taken the fight to the clinch.
Boykin lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Loco decides to pull guard. Loco controls Boykin momentarily but Boykin frees himself. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Boykin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Loco utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Loco is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Boykin is controlling him. Loco is trying to keep Boykin in close.
Loco wants to sweep here but Boykin controlling him for the moment. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Boykin's corner. There ya go! There ya go! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Loco is trying to control the position but Boykin postures up. Loco looking for a sweep. Not yet Loco, not yet. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Boykin connects with a nice short shot to Loco's temple. Boykin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Loco is fending him off so far but Boykin persists. Nope, Loco circles away and we're back to standing. Boykin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Loco swats him away and circles back towards the center. Boykin swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Loco counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Loco closes the distance and clinches. Loco wants to break free but Boykin has control.
A frustrated look appears on Loco's face as he tries to break the clinch. Loco lands with a short shot to the head. Loco manages to break the clinch.
Boykin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Loco tries to avoid it but Boykin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Loco to the ground. Loco escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boykin shoots and misses and Loco counters with a nice uppercut. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dimentiy Boykin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Loco throws a series of punches but Boykin moves out of range. Loco scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Loco turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Boykin has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Loco finds it's way round the side to connect with Boykin's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Loco throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Boykin. Boykin feinted with a counter takedown. Boykin throws a shot from downtown. Loco moves away and avoids it. Boykin throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Loco tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Boykin is in Loco's guard. Loco kicks Boykin off and gets to his feet. Boykin takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Boykin misses the jab. A shot to the liver by Loco. Beautiful body shot. El Loco seems to be getting the better of the standup. Boykin throws out a loose jab but Loco uses good head movement to avoid it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Loco slips under a jab from Boykin. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Boykin is defended easily by Loco. Loco lands with a right hand. Loco lands a really nice looking cross but Boykin seems unphased.

He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Loco throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Boykin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Loco sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Boykin somewhat. A little jabbing left from Loco on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Loco rushes Boykin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Boykin is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Loco is defending well. Boykin tries a body shot but Loco blocks it.

A big left from Boykin misses. Loco looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Loco uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Loco connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Loco feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Boykins jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! A jab from Loco finds it's way through Boykin's defenses. Loco catches Boykin with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Boykin is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Loco's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Loco cracks Boykin with an open hand slap. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Loco tests Boykin's chin there with a solid looking shot. Loco feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Boykins jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! El Loco showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Boykin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Loco is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Loco wants to get back to his feet. Boykin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Loco knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Boykin wants to control but Loco is keeping him busy. Boykin has knee on belly and moves into mount. Loco tries to hold on but Boykin postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Boykin working for a submission but Loco is keeping him at bay. Loco has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Loco sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Boykin wants to take a breather but Loco is having none of it. Boykin is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Loco is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Loco looks like he's trying to stand up.
