Horrible takedown attempt by Mironov or perhaps it was just good defense by Hogg, which made it look bad. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hogg connects with a solid leg kick. Hogg throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Li's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Nym rushes Li and presses him up against the cage. Li is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Nym turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Nym manages to end up in side control. Li bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nym moves away from the strike by Li.

Nym shoots in looking for a takedown but Li manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nym's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Nym fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Howard Li has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sudo Nym. Nym clinches up with Li and pushes him back against the cage. Li can't break the clinch.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Yang has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. That was a close round but I would say that Jack Parsons will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Edern Ap Nudd's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ap Nudd takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Ap Nudd throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Parsons wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Parsons takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Parsons misses with a wild body shot. Ap Nudd uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Parsons. Ap Nudd throws a counter combo. Parsons shoots in for a double leg but Ap Nudd sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Ap Nudd unleashes a big counter combination but Parsons bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Parsons throws a looping overhand right but Ap Nudd ducks down to avoid it. Parsons is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
