The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Uba gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Zhang takes a knee to the side of the body. Knees to the body from Uba.
Uba lands a shoulder strike. Uba decides to pull guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Zhang stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Uba has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Zhang manages to get his head free but now Uba has transitioned to an armbar! Zhang grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Uba! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Myers tries to keep at a distance but Byambador has taken the fight into the clinch. Myers tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Byambador just stands there and leans against the cage. Myers tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Byambador avoids it. Byambador leaning his opponent against the cage. Myers has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Byambador avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Byambador manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Byambador breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Byambador falls off balance throwing a combination

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Byambador misses with a looping right. Myers throws a head kick that misses. No luck with that takedown attempt from Byambador. Byambador stuffs the takedown. Byambador looks to throw the jab but Myers is out of range. Myers changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Byambador keeping moving, preventing Myers from controlling successfully. Myers is looking to work some ground and pound but Byambador has wrist control. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Byambador looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Byambador keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Davaanyamyn Byambador is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Byambador closes the distance and pushes Myers back into the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lindeman throws a shot from downtown. Jones moves away and avoids it. Lindeman paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
It looks like Jamel Jones has been cut. Nice cross by Lindeman. Lindeman jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Lindeman lands with a cross. Thimo Lindeman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lindeman lands a big uppercut and Jones crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Jones looks OK. Lindeman waves Jones back to his feet! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd cheers as Lindeman lands an impressive looking overhand right. Jones doesn't seem phased though.
Jones is rocked! Lindeman stuns Jones with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Oh Jones is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Lindeman pounces like a tiger and cracks Jones with a vicious hook! Jones is down but not out! Lindeman follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Czerniakow throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Frankenfurter sees it coming and avoids it easily. Frankenfurter misses with a hook. Czerniakow ducked under it nicely. Czerniakow moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Czerniakow fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Frankenfurter manages to avoid it. Frankenfurter throws a jab but it's blocked by Czerniakow. Frankenfurter connects with a nice looking jab.
Czerniakow misses with an uppercut. Frankenfurter checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Frankenfurter throws a looping overhand right but Czerniakow ducks down to avoid it. Czerniakow has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Czerniakow fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Frankenfurter manages to avoid it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A big right from Czerniakow misses. Czerniakow throws a right and a left that both miss. Czerniakow throws a body shot but no joy. Czerniakow misses with a double jab
and Frankenfurter holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Czerniakow is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Frankenfurter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Frankenfurter missing with a left hand there. Czerniakow was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Frankenfurter uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Czerniakow. Frankenfurter throws the left hand but Czerniakow avoids the punch easily. Czerniakow tries a quick counter leg kick but Frankenfurter is wise to it. Frankenfurter moves away from the strike by Czerniakow. Frankenfurter changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Frankenfurter lands the left hand. Czerniakow throws a body kick that misses and Frankenfurter counters with a takedown into side control. Czerniakow really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Frankenfurter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Czerniakow is trying to get back to half guard. Frankenfurter will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Frankenfurter has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Frankenfurter in the domination position with Czerniakow hanging on. Frankenfurter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Czerniakow keeps working. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Czerniakow can do anything to dispel that myth. Frankenfurter fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Frankenfurter is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Frankenfurter is trying to get an arm triangle but Czerniakow is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frankenfurter throws a strike aimed at the side of Czerniakow's head but Czerniakow avoids it well. Frankenfurter cracks Czerniakow with a big elbow. Frankenfurter tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. You can see the frustration on Czerniakow's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Czerniakow is looking for a sweep. Frankenfurter is trying to get an arm triangle but Czerniakow is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Czerniakow is looking to reverse the position. Frankenfurter controlling the position from side mount. Frankenfurter looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Czerniakow is avoiding damage well.

Frankenfurter working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Czerniakow is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
