Blue is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. hughes slips a jab from Blue. Blue swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. hughes is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! hughes looks up at the clock. Bad move! Blue lands a right hand from hell, dropping hughes. Blue pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Mine pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Mine misses with the combination.
Mine tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Chumakov paws at him with a jab and circles away. Excellent takedown into side control there by Chumakov. Chumakov is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mine knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Chumakov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Chumakov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Mine struggling a bit here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mine parries the strikes from Chumakov easily there. Chumakov is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Mine to escape.
Mine is trying to control Chumakov's posture but Chumakov avoids it. Chumakov misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Chumakov looks for a takedown but Mine sprawls well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Mine defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Chumakov. Mine misses with a low kick. Mine misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mine shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Mine wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chumakov keeps working. Chumakov is trying to stand back up but Mine is controlling him
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chumakov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mine pulls his head out easily. Chumakov makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Chumakov. Chumakov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mine trying to control but Chumakov is working from the bottom. Mine's corner is telling him to maintain position. Mine is breathing heavily. Mine preventing the sweep. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Chumakov is on top in guard.
Chumakov content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chumakov drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mine looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mine looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mine! Chumakov manages to get back to half guard. Mine prevents Chumakov from improving his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chumakov is pressing down on Mine's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Mine stays in close to Chumakov's body and controls the position. Chumakov looking to control.

A close round but Ivgeny Chumakov will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Chumakov closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mine did well to prevent Chumakov getting side control. Chumakov stops Mine from getting back to his feet.

Chumakov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mine's head. Chumakov not doing much here.
Mine is looking for a sweep. Chumakov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Chumakov missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chumakov is keen to just control but Mine is a slippery customer. Mine trying to control but Chumakov postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Chumakov has hold of Mine's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Mine tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Chumakov cranks the arm and Mine screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Mine, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romanov throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Brencans gets the takedown into side control. Romanov can't do much from the bottom here. Brencans in side control, throwing shots but Romanov defends. Brencans wants to lay and pray for a moment but Romanov keeps working. Brencans tries to advance to mount but can't. Brencans is breathing heavily. Brencans tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brencans landing strikes. Brencans trying to control the position but Romanov is working away. Brencans is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Romanov is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Brencans gets caught flat footed, as Romanov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Romanov wants to control from the top but Brencans keeps moving. Romanov works over Brencans with some ground and pound from guard. Brencans knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Romanov on the ground. Romanov controlling from the top position. Brencans is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Romanov is controlling him. Romanov is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Romanov sitting in guard here, content to control.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Romanov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Brencans tries to land a sweep but no joy. Romanov prevents Brencans from getting back to his feet. Brencans can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Romanov controls the pace. Romanov wants to control from the top but Brencans keeps moving. Romanov is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Valentin Romanov dominated that round. That's time! Brencans's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Romanov pushes Brencans up against the cage in a clinch. Romanov turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Romanov manages to end up in side control. Romanov wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brencans, who protects the arm well. Romanov in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Brencans is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Helsson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but turk paws at him with a jab and circles away. Helsson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Helsson is looking to clinch. Helsson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says turk as he avoids it easily. Helsson closes the distance and pushes turk back into the cage. turk drops down looking for an ankle pick but Helsson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Helsson takes a head kick and keeps coming.
turk will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Helsson shoots in and drives through. turk sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thor Helsson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Helsson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but turk paws at him with a jab and circles away. Helsson shoots in for a double leg but turk sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. turk smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. turk stalks Helsson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Helsson's face. Helsson staggers backwards, shaken. Helsson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Helsson tries to close the distance and clinch but turk swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. turk drops Helsson with a nice combination! turk dives into Helsson's guard, looking to finish!
Helsson is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! turk gets to his feet and stands over Helsson, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Helsson felt that one! turk unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Helsson from any more punishment!

Gracie tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Gracie scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Kliment really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kliment had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gracie defends it easily. Kliment throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Gracie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kliment has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gracie has managed to get both his arms back between Kliment's legs - danger averted. Gracie trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie drops back looking for a leg! Kliment is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kliment manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into Kliment's guard. Kliment keeping full guard, as Gracie tries to pass. Kliment working for a triangle but Gracie defends it easily.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kliment clinches up against the cage.

Gracie swings around for an armbar but Kliment sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Gracie's guard. Gracie keeping moving, preventing Kliment from controlling successfully. Kliment drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Gracie dives on top into guard. Kliment is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kliment escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gracie gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Gracie drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kliment manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gracie has Kliment in his guard. Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kliment is aware though and is defending well. Kliment pushing down on Gracie's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Kliment is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Kliment not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Gracie on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The fighters are battling for position here. Kliment controls Gracie momentarily but Gracie frees himself. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gracie accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Gracie avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A left and a right from Talking both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Sasha Zamiatin has been cut. Talking fails with a takedown attempt. Zamiatin drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Zamiatin has a takedown stuffed. Talking throws a series of punches but Zamiatin moves out of range. Zamiatin misses with a takedown and Talking counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Talking.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Talking slaps away a takedown attempt from Zamiatin, before circling back to the center of the mat. He catches Talking napping and manages to drive through into side control! Zamiatin tries for a kimura but Talking is defending well. Zamiatin misses with a low kick. Talking with a lazy takedown attempt and Zamiatin counters with a single leg into guard. Talking didn't expect that. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zamiatin is stalling in the full guard. Zamiatin working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Zamiatin trying to control but Talking is working from the bottom. Zamiatin throwing strikes but missing. Zamiatin wants to control from the top but Talking keeps moving. Talking avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Talking keeping moving, preventing Zamiatin from controlling successfully. Zamiatin stays in close to Talking's body and controls the position.

Talking scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Horrible takedown by Zamiatin or perhaps it was just good defense by Talking which made him look bad. Talking fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Zamiatin sprawls well initially but Talking persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Talking missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Talking wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Zamiatin uses the opportunity to regain full guard. Zamiatin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Talking. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Zamiatin is on top in guard.
Zamiatin pushes down on Talking's leg and manages to get into half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Zamiatin content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Zamiatin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Talking is just riding it out for now. Zamiatin eventually gives up the hold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie shoots for a takedown but Khalidov saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Gracie shoots for a double leg takedown but Khalidov sprawls well. He's pushed Gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Khalidov shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Khalidov showed some decent athleticism there. Gracie looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Khalidov lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Ground and pound from Khalidov. Khalidov landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Khalidov is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Gracie has managed to free his arm - good work. Khalidov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Khalidov grinds an elbow into Gracie's temple. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Khalidov working the head with strikes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Triton keeps Hunt at a distance using the push kick. Triton comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Triton scores with a leg kick.
Hunt looks gassed! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Triton connects with a body shot. Triton misses with a hook. Triton lunges at Hunt with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hunt's hand.
It looks like Mike Hunt has been cut. Triton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Triton lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Hunt is rocked! Triton gets in close and instigates a clinch. Hunt is still on wobbly legs! Can Triton finish him? Triton lands a right hand that snaps the head of Hunt backwards. Triton breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Triton feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Hunt crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jack Triton! Jack Triton is the new middleweight champion!
