Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Renzoi Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shamil Shamilaev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Renzoi Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shamil Shamilaev! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Anthony Taglia and Dean Styles.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie shoots in but no luck this time.
Shamilaev closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gracie did well to prevent Shamilaev getting side control. Gracie blocking the ground and pound attempt from Shamilaev. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Shamilaev connects with a nice short shot to Gracie's temple. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracie gets back to full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Shamilaev accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Shamilaev throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Shamilaev has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Gracie to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Shamilaev is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Gracie pulls down on the head and he's put Shamilaev to sleep! This one is all over!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Washington throws a poor cross that misses
and Roberts counters with a three punch combo that has Washington backing up. Washington nods at Roberts to acknowledge the strikes. Roberts ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Washington moves away. Roberts keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Washington. A little feinted left hand from Roberts on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Washington misses with the combination.
Washington gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. The crowd cheers as Roberts lands an impressive looking overhand right. Washington doesn't seem phased though.
Washington scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Washington is taking a breather. Roberts says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Washington lands a nice short elbow. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Still in half guard, Washington seems content to control. Roberts definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Washington wants to free his trapped foot but Roberts is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Washington seems to be looking for submissions.
Roberts knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Washington on the ground. Roberts on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Washington controlling the pace. Washington working over Roberts with some ground and pound. Roberts looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Washington is controlling the pace.

Washington wants to work for an arm triangle but Roberts is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Washington looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Washington perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Washington is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Roberts doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Washington. Washington passes to full mount!
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Washington takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Washington lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Roberts hang on? Washington working the ground and pound effectively.

Washington is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Roberts is forced to tap! Great finish!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alves misses with a kick to the body.
Flores misses with a takedown attempt and Alves counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Alves fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Michael Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alves cracks Flores with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Flores looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away� can Alves finish him?
 It looks like Larry Flores has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Alves lands a right hook to the body.
Flores shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Alves as he jumps to the side. Alves cracks Flores with a hook to the temple - Flores is on wobbly legs here! Alves swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Flores falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Alves wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Michael Alves! Michael Alves was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

Bregenzer is trying to stand and escape here. He's got onto all fours but that's just let Ruff take his back! Uh oh - Ruff has got a rear naked choke here! Bregenzer is forced to tap! It's all over! One monent is all it takes in this sport!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Donny Ruff! Donny Ruff spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Landry circles away from the clinch attempt.
Landry seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Angelov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Angelov tries to clinch up. Landry drops down looking for a counter takedown but Angelov sprawls and moves away. Angelov moves in looking to clinch but Landry pushes him off.
Landry drives through and clinches with Angelov against the cage.

Landry has had enough of the clinch but Angelov keeps him there for the moment.
Angelov is fighting off a takedown attempt but Landry is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Angelov to the mat. Angelov regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Angelov is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Landry dives into side control.
Angelov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Landry. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
 Landry has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Angelov seems a little lost for a moment, as Landry dominates the positioning. The ground and pound from Landry seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Landry working the head with strikes. Angelov is pushing Landry's head away, looking to escape. Landry manages to hold on to the position though. Angelov is working to avoid the ground and pound but Landry connects with a decent elbow. Landry creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Angelov sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Angelov wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Landry has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Angelov! Landry has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Angelov's face.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Landry scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Landry landing punches. Landry lands a couple of good shots and Angelov has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Landry drops a couple of huge strikes from the back position and Angelov is in real trouble here! Landry lands more strikes and the referee has to step in to end the fight! Landry is delighted!

 It looks like Stanley Sharpe has been cut.
Sharpe drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Shahar working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sharpe. Sharpe engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Shahar keeping moving, preventing Sharpe from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sharpe prevents Shahar from getting back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shahar seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Shahar being controlled here, momentarily. Sharpe throws a big elbow that misses.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Sharpe throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Shahar stuffs the takedown. Shahar swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Shahar leaves Sharpe with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Asaf Shahar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sharpe tries to clinch but Shahar is having none of it. Shahar lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Shahar uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sharpe. Shahar connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
 Sharpe is rocked! Shahar closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Sharpe out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alderich connects with a right hand. Capobianco shakes it off. Alderich buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Capobianco tries to clinch but Alderich moves out of range. Capobianco steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Alderich. That one must have hurt. Alderich tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Alderich bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Alderich leaves Capobianco with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Decent striking displayed by Alderich there. Capobianco takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Alderich's coach down at Darkness (B613) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Alderich's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Capobianco drops his hands momentarily and Alderich needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Capobianco just on the top of the head. Capobianco drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Capobianco - he's done!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Liber Alderich! Liber Alderich spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

Oliveira looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jump with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Nice strikes from Oliveira there. Oliveira lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.  That's one minute gone in the round. Oliveira working over Jump with some ground and pound. Jump looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Ground and pound from Oliveira. Oliveira is trying to control the action in half guard but Jump is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Oliveira is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Oliveira performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Oliveira stops Jump from getting back to his feet.

Oliveira stands and throws Jump's legs to the side, diving into side control. Oliveira cracks Jump with a big right hand but Jump just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Oliveira working the head with strikes. Jump tries to escape but Oliveira is in control. Jump taking punishment in the form of punches.
 Jump is rocked! Oliveira working the ground and pound. Jump is still in real trouble! Can Oliveira finish him? Jump taking punishment in the form of punches.
Jump bucks up and tries to throw Oliveira off but instead Oliveira has got his back! A bit of a pause in the action here. Oliveira controlling the positon. Oliveira connects with a couple of big shots that have Jump covering up! Oh, this looks bad for Jump!
