5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Anderson Gracie! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Jorge Garcia and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woods closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Woods lands in his opponent's guard. Gracie working for a triangle but Woods defends it easily.
Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Woods can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Woods wants to pass the guard but Gracie is keeping the position. Gracie throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Woods gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Gracie looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's one minute gone in the round. Woods slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Woods tries to stand but Gracie is controlling from the bottom. Woods wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving. Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Woods can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Woods working over Gracie with some ground and pound. Gracie looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Woods knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Woods works his way back into a safe position though. Gracie is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real. Woods passes Gracie's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Gracie is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Woods's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Woods's back! Woods trying to control the position but Gracie manages to sink in the hooks. Well, with Gracie on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Woods is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Hainer misses the shot to the body. Hainer misses with a hook. Bush uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hainer.
A telegraphed right hand from Bush misses the target. Hainer throws a looping overhand right but Bush ducks down to avoid it. Bush fails with a takedown attempt. Bush takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bush keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bush has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hainer finds it's way round the side to connect with Bush's head. Bush throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Hainer connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Bush momentarily.

Bush looks to land a left hand but Hainer moved out of range nicely. Hainer misses with a straight left. Hainer throws a lazy right hand but Bush sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Bush takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Hainer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

That's going to take a lot out of him. Hainer throws a lazy right hand but Bush sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Bush is looking to slow Hainer down with leg kicks. That sent Bush stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Hainer bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bush's head. Bush dives in and grabs Hainer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hainer pushes down on Bush's head and hops out. Hainer lands a jab. Bush shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hainer sprawls well. Hainer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bush gets slowly back to his feet. Bush takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Hainer dips down and scores with a jab to the body. The fighters circling - Bush throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Hainer works Bush's body with a nice hook. Bush moves out of range as Hainer strikes.

Zach Hainer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Bush thowing shots but they're missing. Bush looking to finish Hainer with some ground and pound. This is bad for Hainer!

Bush throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Cross checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Ramon swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Cross counters with a nice uppercut. Cross slips a jab and a cross from Ramon.

Cross scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Ramon has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Cross finds it's way round the side to connect with Ramon's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramon misses with an uppercut. Cross saw that one coming. Ramon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Cross counters with a left and a right that stings Ramon. Ramon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ramon takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Ramon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ramon is looking to chop away at Cross's legs. Cross lands with a shot to the body. Ramon misses with a hook. Cross cracks Ramon with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. A head kick by Ramon misses and Cross counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ramon thinking. Cross throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Ramon misses with a body punch
enabling Cross to counter with a crisp jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cross rushes Ramon and presses him up against the cage. Cross lands a hook to the side of the head. A right handed body shot lands from Cross.

Ramon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Cross creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Ramon blocks an uppercut.
David Cross seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Ramon throws an elbow but it misses.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cross throws a punch but it's blocked by Ramon. Ramon has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Cross swings wildly with an uppercut but Ramon uses good head movement to avoid it. Cross lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Cross lands a body punch in the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Cross dominated that fourth round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
A big right from Ramon misses. A jab lands there for Cross. Ramon throws a combination that misses and Cross counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. and Cross cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Cross is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Cross throws a nice outside leg kick. Cross lands with a straight right. Ramon didn't see that one coming. Cross is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell? Ramon throws a hook but Cross blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ramon thows a left - swing and a miss! Cross staying out of range there. Cross ducks under a wild hook from Ramon. Ramon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ramon loads up on a big right hand but Cross slips the punch. Cross moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Cross closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ramon did well to prevent Cross getting side control. Cross is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Cross is looking to pass Ramon's guard but actually Ramon recovers to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cross throwing strikes but missing. Ramon wants to stand but Cross is controlling the position. Cross throws a strike but Ramon rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Cross is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ramon defends well. Ramon wanted to stand there but Cross had control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramon stopping the sweep attempt from Cross. Cross throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
David Cross is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Cross is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Ramon misses with a double jab
and Cross counters with a shoot takedown. Ramon fights it but they end up in guard. Ramon wants to get back to his feet but Cross is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Ramon keeping moving, preventing Cross from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mike Ramon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cross postures up and lands a big shot to Ramon's brow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cross trying to control the position from guard on top but Ramon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cross postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Cross controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
And that's the end of the fight! David Cross comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Cross has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
