The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Picard gets tackled into the cage by Evans. Evans maintains the clinch.
Picard's coach down at Montreal Elite Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Picard's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Evans manages to break the clinch.

Picard seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Evans does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

I think Jones might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to DJ Shadow - Organ Donor. Martin has chosen Bodies Drowing Pool as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Martin moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Jones takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Martin jabs Jones right on the nose. Jones blinks but takes it well.

Martin bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jones's head.

It looks like Cory Jones has been cut.
Jones pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Ace dives in and grabs Draven's left leg, looking for a takedown. Draven pushes down on Ace's head and hops out.
Sloppy strikes from Ace. Those never looked like landing.
Ace shoots in for a double leg but Draven sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ace changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Draven tries to avoid it but Ace manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Draven to the ground. Draven escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Draven cracks Ace with a hook to the temple - Ace is on wobbly legs here! Draven swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Ace falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Draven wins by TKO!

After the fight, Eric Draven was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
