Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, GaiI Kin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hyashi Hayakawa! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Joseph Jones and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hayakawa misses with a double jab.
Kin throws a quick counter kick to the body but Hayakawa avoids it. Hayakawa displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kin. Hayakawa connects with a right hand. Kin shakes it off. Kin gets in close and instigates a clinch. Kin works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Hayakawa manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kin manages to get himself to full guard.
Hayakawa throws a big right hand that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hayakawa throwing strikes from guard but Kin blocks nicely. Kin being controlled here, momentarily. Hayakawa has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hayakawa trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hayakawa missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Hayakawa content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Kin looks like he's trying to stand up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hayakawa scoring with strikes to the body and head. Hayakawa slows the pace down in half guard. Hayakawa works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hayakawa cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hayakawa landing strikes from the mount and Kin is in trouble! Hayakawa tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Kin tries to hold on but Hayakawa pushes him away. Hayakawa connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hayakawa controlling from mount. Hayakawa looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Kin dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Hayakawa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Kin is looking to reverse the position. Hayakawa controls the position. Hayakawa thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hayakawa sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Kin is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hayakawa tries to score with some ground and pound. Kin controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. A lull in the action here. Hayakawa scoring with punches and elbows.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hayakawa throwing strikes but Kin manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Hayakawa gets back to half guard. Hayakawa gets full guard. Hayakawa has his hands on Kin's head, controlling the position. Kin trying to control the position from guard on top but Hayakawa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hayakawa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hayakawa wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Hayakawa shoots in for a takedown but Kin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Hayakawa closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Kin is not content to let Hayakawa control the position. Kin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hayakawa on the ground. Hayakawa passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Kin! Kin wants to hold on but Hayakawa pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hayakawa controlling his opponent. Hayakawa looking to finish Kin with some ground and pound. This is bad for Kin! Kin blocking the ground and pound. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hayakawa looking to control and managing it successfully. Hayakawa throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Kin because Hayakawa loaded up on that one. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hyashi Hayakawa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Hayakawa has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hayakawa tries to bum rush Kin with a series of wild strikes but Kin uses good footwork to avoid the assault. GaiI Kin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hayakawa avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hayakawa throws a counter combo. Kin gets a clinch. Kin turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Hayakawa throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Hayakawa fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Kin tries to counter by clinching up but Hayakawa breaks away and moves out of range. Hayakawa shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kin manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hayakawa is pushing down on Kin's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kin is fighting to maintain full guard but Hayakawa has managed to sneak the leg through. Hayakawa frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kin is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Hayakawa lands a big shot there that rocks Kin but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Kin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kin tries to get out of the position. Hayakawa with shots to the head and body - Kin looks very uncomfortable down there. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hayakawa controlling from mount. Hayakawa working the ground and pound effectively.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson lands a head kick!
Smith looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Horrible takedown attempt by Johnson or perhaps it was just good defense by Smith, which made it look bad. Johnson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Johnson chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Johnson looks to throw the jab but Smith is out of range. Smith tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Smith tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A nice leg kick lands there from Johnson. Johnson cracks Smith with an open hand slap. Smith fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Johnson shoots in for a takedown. Johnson takes one on the chin but seems OK.

We've been hearing that Johnson has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Smith wants to get back to his feet but Johnson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Johnson throws a big right hand that misses. Johnson throws an elbow that misses. Smith uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Johnson's guard. Nice move by Smith! Johnson has his hands on Smith's head, controlling the position. Smith pushes down on Johnson's leg and manages to get into half guard. Smith is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Johnson kicks off Smith and gets to his feet. Johnson connects with a jab.

Smith closes this distance looking for a takedown but Johnson circles away. Johnson is looking to counter punch. Smith slips a straight right by Johnson. Smith lands a left and a right that send Johnson crashing to the mat, dazed. Smith thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Johnson connects with a looping right hand.
An inside leg kick lands from Johnson. Smith shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Johnson defends it nicely. Bradley Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Todd Smith. Johnson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Johnson showed some decent athleticism there. Smith makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Smith persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Johnson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. A head kick misses from Johnson. Johnson leaves Smith with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Smith takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Nice takedown defense from Johnson. No joy for Smith on that attempt. Bradley Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Todd Smith. Johnson clinches. Johnson has Smith pushed against the cage. Johnson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Johnson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smith moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Smith tries for a takedown but Johnson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Great action here. Smith has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Smith there as he acknowledges the shot. Johnson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Johnson lands an overhand right. Johnson rushes Smith and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Smith is trying to maintain a safe position but Johnson gets an underhook and turns Smith into the cage. Johnson is pressed up against the cage. Smith has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Johnson down to the mat. Johnson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Johnson lands a nice shot that snaps Smith's head back.

He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Johnson's half guard. Johnson desperately trying to maintain half guard. Smith content to control rather than advance. Johnson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Johnson tries to get out of the position. And that's the end of the fight! Bradley Johnson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Johnson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tumenov fails with the takedown. Paterson thuds his right hand into Tumenov's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Tumenov dives in and grabs Paterson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Paterson pushes down on Tumenov's head and hops out. Tumenov fails with a takedown attempt. It looked like Paterson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Jim Paterson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Albert Tumenov. Tumenov takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Valentino scores with a sloppy right hand. Woods should have avoided that one.
It looks like Randall Woods has been cut. Woods misses with a few strikes there.
Valentino looks to score with a jab to the body but Woods is just out of range. Woods closes the distance and pushes Valentino back into the cage. Woods wants a takedown but no success here.
Woods tries a body shot but Valentino blocks it.
Valentino has had enough of the clinch but Woods keeps him there for the moment. Valentino tries to stall but Woods uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Woods escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Woods ducks under a wild hook from Valentino. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Woods on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Valentino paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Valentino lands with a cross. Woods swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Valentino stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Valentino wants it to stay on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Valentino pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Woods has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Woods there as he acknowledges the shot. Randall Woods seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Valentino tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Woods throws a nice looking combination but Valentino bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Valentino getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Woods has been working on his boxing with his coaches at School of Hard Knocks in the buildup to the fight. Woods misses with the combination.
Woods changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Valentino tries to avoid it but Woods manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Valentino to the ground. Valentino escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Valentino looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Randall Woods. That's going to take a lot out of him. Woods shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Valentino but Valentino pushes him off and we're back to square one. Valentino ducks under a wild hook from Woods. Valentino connects with a nice looking jab.
Randall Woods's cut is getting worse. Valentino tries to clinch but Woods is having none of it. Woods seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Woods shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Valentino pinned against the cage. Valentino gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Woods sets himself, and Valentino steps forward looking for the clinch! Woods avoids it this time. Valentino has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Valentino connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Woods is looking to clinch. Woods fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Valentino manages to avoid it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Valentino keeps the fight on the outside. Rambo Valentino is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Valentino uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Woods. It seemed like Valentino was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Woods takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Woods walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Valentino! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!

Gracie walks into a stiff left hand from Shahar. Shahar misses the jab. Gracie wants to clinch and Shahar counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Gracie throws a leg kick but Shahar sees it coming and checks it nicely. Shahar fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gracie keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Shahar. Shahar misses with a straight right. Gracie appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Shahar thuds his right hand into Gracie's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Shahar drops Gracie with a beautiful combination! Gracie stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Shahar is looking for the KO!
Gracie is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gracie closes the distance but Shahar moves to the side and Shahar counters with a huge right that knocks Gracie out cold! Shahar is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turner blocks a jab. Turner loads up on a big right hand but Colombu slips the punch. Joe Colombu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Colombu gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Colombu wants to get back to his feet but Turner passes into half guard.
Turner missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Turner not landing any meaningful shots this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Colombu wants to sweep but Turner has passed to side control! Colombu tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Turner wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Turner trying to control the action but Colombu is working from the bottom. Turner working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
