0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brij Ja! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ja misses with a wild combination.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ja is defended easily by Artur. Artur is looking to counter punch. Ja falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Artur to counter with a crisp jab. Ja is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Ja shoots and misses and Artur counters with a right hand to the body. Artur throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ja swinging wildly here.
Artur is looking to counter with a shot to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ja shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Artur sprawls well. Artur wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ja gets slowly back to his feet. Sven Artur has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brij Ja. Ja's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Ja duly obliges.

Ja looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Ja defending well as Artur loads up on a big left hand. Ja gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Artur counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Ja is rocked! Ja darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Artur pushes Ja off and gets back to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sven Artur is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Artur swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Ja. Ja is still on wobbly legs! Can Artur finish him? Artur connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Artur scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ja in his tracks. Artur throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Artur connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Ja slips a jab from Artur. Artur showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ja.
Artur stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Artur works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Artur drops Ja with a huge uppercut! Ja drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Artur is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sven Artur! A relieved looking Sven Artur thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Chuckhaven throws a right hand that Contreiras ducks under and follows up with a left that Contreiras also avoids with ease. This has been an exciting period of action! Contreiras gets a clinch. Chuckhaven jumps into guard, dragging Contreiras to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Contreiras trying to control the position from guard on top but Chuckhaven is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Contreiras avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bilous pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Bilous shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Winky counters with a nice body shot. Winky gets a double leg takedown into Bilous's guard. Winky trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bilous is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bilous trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bilous fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Winky sprawls well initially but Bilous persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bilous connects with a nice short shot to Winky's temple. Bilous is looking for a kimura but Winky is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bilous to get the leverage. Winky knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tinky Winky. I think Bilous has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sakahura cracks Cage with an open hand slap. Cage clinches up with Sakahura and pushes him back against the cage. Sakahura lands a shoulder strike. Cage throws a head punch that misses. Sakahura struggles to land a body shot inside as Cage controls his hands.
Sakahura makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Sakahura will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Cage up against the cage. Cage tries to throw a body punch but Sakahura avoids it by throwing Cage back against the cage. A shot in the inside from Cage. Sakahura throws a punch but it's blocked by Cage. Cage lands a hook that snaps the head of Sakahura backwards. Cage lands a knee to the body.

Sakahura falls back against the cage and Cage unloads with a barrage of strikes! Sakahura is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Cage screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

A very excited looking Xander Cage made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rougeau takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Rougeau looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Boxer Ii doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. A good leg kick by Rougeau. Boxer Ii throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rougeau attempts a counter takedown but Boxer Ii avoids it well and moves away. Rougeau changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Boxer Ii looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rougeau works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. You can see the frustration on Boxer Ii's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Boxer Ii really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rougeau. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rougeau tries for a kimura but Boxer Ii is defending well. Rougeau misses with the ground and pound. A big shot lands for Rougeau! That's hurt Boxer Ii! Will he recover? Rougeau fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kirkland cracks Rothchild with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Kirkland connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Rothchild dodges the punch combination from Kirkland.
As Kirkland tries to get set, Rothchild tries to push him back and clinch up but Kirkland manages to avoid the attempt. Rothchild is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kirkland goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kirkland misses with a looping right. Rothchild looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Rothchild passes Kirkland's left leg - he's now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kirkland looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Rothchild wants to advance to full mount but Kirkland doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Rothchild stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kirkland swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rothchild advances to half guard. Kirkland has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rothchild is working away from the top position though. Kirkland wants to improve his position but Rothchild is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Rothchild is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kirkland sees it coming and defends easily. Rothchild wants to free his trapped foot but Kirkland is holding on for dear life with his legs. Kirkland is looking to improve his position.

Kirkland wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Kirkland gets back to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rothchild works his way into side control. Kirkland stops Rothchild from passing to mount. A control attempt from Kirkland but he's now mounted! Rothchild can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kirkland is looking to escape. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rothchild with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

That was a close round but I would say that Pollyanne Rothchild will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Kirkland is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Rothchild off and has taken his back! Rothchild is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Kirkland is trying to stick to Rothchild's back but Rothchild is turning into Kirkland. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Kirkland's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Rothchild. We've been hearing good reports from Rothchild's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rothchild pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kirkland is keeping the position for now. Rothchild passes into half guard. Rothchild wants to free his trapped foot but Kirkland is holding on for dear life with his legs. Rothchild is keen to just control but Kirkland is a slippery customer. Rothchild passes to side control. Pollyanne Rothchild overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rothchild wants to control but Kirkland is keeping him busy. Rothchild is trying to move to mount but Kirkland reverses beautifully and ends up in Rothchild's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kirkland got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rothchild has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kirkland has managed to get both his arms back between Rothchild's legs - danger averted. Rothchild has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kirkland can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Rothchild has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Kirkland has passed into side control.
You can see the frustration on Rothchild's face as Kirkland controls the position. Kirkland is continuing to stall. Rothchild is looking for a sweep.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rothchild works his way to full guard. Good work. Kirkland wants to get up but he can't break Rothchild's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Kirkland trying to control the position from guard on top but Rothchild is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rothchild is trying to keep Kirkland in close.

Kirkland doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Rothchild is tightening it up a little... Kirkland has to be careful here...
