Man has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Man throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Braddock.
Braddock slips a jab and a cross from Man.
Braddock ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Man moves away.
Braddock throws a shot to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Braddock scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Man doesn't seem bothered though.

Braddock comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

and Braddock counters with a perfectly timed counter left hook that drops Man to the mat, face first! Braddock goes to the neutral corner and waits for the referee to start the count. Man is back to hise feet already though and looking to continue the bout! Exciting stuff!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and before Man has any time to reset, Braddock cracks him with a big right hand that drops him face first to the canvas! He's hurt! I don't think he's going to get back up from that one! He's trying but he's doing the chicken dance and has face planted into to ropes, causing the referee to bring this fight to an end! This one is all over!

After the fight, James Braddock was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
