Maer decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Volkov tries to roll over but Maer keeps him under control.
Volkov is not content to let Maer control the position.
Volkov is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Maer's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Maer's back!

McDougal tries to clinch there but Moon circles away.
Moon feinted with a counter takedown.
McDougal fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Moon throws a big counter combination but McDougal scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Moon feints and as McDougal raises his hands in defense, Moon changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Moon is in close to McDougal's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Moon keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of McDougal's head.
Moon in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
