I think Murasaki might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to PRIDE FC Theme. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shoto Murasaki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Etsu Kamon! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kamon misses with a head kick.
Kamon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Murasaki fails in his attempt to clinch. Kamon tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Kamon cracks Murasaki with a right hand to the side of the head. Kamon jabs Murasaki right on the nose. Murasaki blinks but takes it well. Murasaki thows a leg kick but Kamon checks it and Kamon counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Murasaki wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Kamon manages to pass to side control. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Kamon stops Murasaki from getting back to his feet.
Kamon is trying to work for a kimura but Murasaki is defending well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kamon looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Murasaki wants to get back to his feet.
Murasaki knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kamon on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kamon has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Murasaki defend it? Kamon steps over the head and cranks it - Murasaki is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Kamon!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Etsu Kamon! Shoto Murasaki spoke after the fight, saying 'People get caught, it's not extraordinary for me. I'll be back strong.'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karelin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A combination from Silva does no damage. The fight moves into the clinch position. Karelin lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Silva backwards. Karelin lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes. Karelin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Karelin clinches up against the ropes. Karelin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Karelin throws an overhand right that has Silva reeling! Karelin follows up with more punches and Silva is out cold! This one is all over!

22 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Maciej Zegan! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chernicin takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Chernicin misses with a takedown attempt - Zegan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Chernicin has a takedown stuffed. Zegan was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Zegan lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Zegan throws a nice inside leg kick. Chernicin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kirill Chernicin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Zegan clinches with his opponent.
Zegan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Chernicin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Zegan circles away. Zegan lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
It looks like Kirill Chernicin has been cut. Zegan pushes Chernicin away with a front kick. Chernicin takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Chernicin walks into a stiff left hand from Zegan. Zegan scores with a decent looking hook.
Chernicin is rocked! Zegan throws a leg kick which misses Chernicin's front leg but catches the back leg as Chernicin tries to avoid it. Oh Chernicin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Zegan clinches up with Chernicin and pushes him back against the ropes. A right handed body shot lands from Zegan.
The fighters are pressed against the ropes, as the pace of the fight slows. Zegan has Chernicin pressed against the ropes. He pushes Chernicin back and as he springs towards him off the ropes, Zegan throws a beautiful elbow that sends Chernicin crashing to the floor! Zegan piles on the pressure with more strikes! Chernicin is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Maciej Zegan! Maciej Zegan decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wallace gets the takedown into side control. Wallace throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Wallace working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. You can see the frustration on Materla's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Materla manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Wallace is defending against the submission attempts here by Materla.
Wallace is not content to let Materla control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wallace is trying to control but can't.
Materla moves nicely into side control. Wallace controls the position for a moment. Wallace wants to control but Materla postures up. Wallace tries to bench press Materla off him but Materla keeps the position. Materla advances nicely into full mount. Wallace is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Body Pain_12elite_599$+VM, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wallace is working to get back to half guard.
Materla controlling from mount. Materla prevents Wallace from getting the reversal. Materla trying to control but Wallace is having none of it. Wallace tries to improve his position but instead Materla has taken his back! Materla is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wallace is really stuck here.
Materla looking for the choke from the back. Materla working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Wallace is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Materla has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Wallace taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Michal Materla! After the fight, Michal Materla was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. Rafal Wallace was interviewed post fight and said 'Never give up'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Piper missing with a left hand there. Grzesiuk was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Grzesiuk swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Piper throwing a counter right hand but Grzesiuk manages to avoid it. Piper cracks Grzesiuk with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes. Piper tries to bum rush Grzesiuk with a series of wild strikes but Grzesiuk uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Grzesiuk closes the distance and pushes Piper back into the ropes. Piper prevents a body shot from Grzesiuk. With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Piper creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Grzesiuk breaks the clinch.
Nice shot lands for Piper. Piper looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Piper with a nice cross. We've been hearing reports that Piper has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Piper drops Grzesiuk with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Grzesiuk looks back up at him and smiles so Piper waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Grzesiuk is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Grzesiuk is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Piper doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Grzesiuk crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Grzesiuk's bad books for that mishap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Genesis Piper! A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, Genesis Piper made sure he mentioned Sun-Tzu, along with how happy he was to win his fight.

Harris walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Mazzarri circles away from the clinch attempt.

Harris is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Mazzarri is looking to work some ground and pound but Harris has wrist control. Mazzarri chips away with some ground and pound. Mazzarri is working Harris over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Harris keeping full guard, as Mazzarri tries to pass. Harris preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Harris looking for a guillotine here but Mazzarri defends easily.

Mazzarri throws a sloppy strike and Harris has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Mazzarri is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Harris!

A very excited looking Phil Harris made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoover throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Poe feinted there with a counter leg kick. Hoover lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Poe circles away quickly and effectively. Dominic Hoover seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hoover misses with the combination.

Poe tries a low kick but Hoover avoids it. Hoover swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Hoover thuds a left hand into Poe's body. Hoover checks a leg kick. Poe throws a front kick aimed at Hoover's knee but Hoover avoids it well. Poe explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. A slapping body kick lands there for Hoover. Poe doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Poe throws a half hearted mid kick. Poe attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hoover has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Poe lands the left hand. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hoover looks to throw the jab but Poe is out of range. Hoover lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Poe circles away quickly and effectively. It looked like Poe wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Poe avoids the head kick by Hoover.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoover takes a shot right to the bread basket. Hoover swinging wildly here.
Poe lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hoover's sensitive parts. Poe misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Poe tried to score with a low kick but Hoover checks it. Hoover stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Nice uppercut lands for Hoover. That snapped Poe's head back.

Poe lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hoover throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Poe goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Poe lands with a hook. Hoover tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Poe's jab looks to have found its range, popping Hoover under the eye.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Poe misses with a looping right. Hoover throws a hook to the side of Poe's head but Poe sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Poe lands a leg kick that knocks Hoover off balance momentarily. Poe keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hoover. Poe does a little dance to reset his feet. Hoover slips a straight right by Poe. Hoover's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Poe connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hoover scrambles back to his feet. Poe slips under a jab. Poe slips a jab and a cross from Hoover.
Poe throws a push kick but Hoover slaps the foot to one side. Poe tries to land a front kick but Hoover steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Poe connects with a body shot. Poe throws a body punch but Hoover moves out of range. Poe misses with an uppercut. Hoover saw that one coming. Poe lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Poe finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Poe is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Poe pushes Hoover away with a front kick. Hoover will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Poe throwing a counter right hand but Hoover manages to avoid it. Hoover throws a nice looking combination but Poe bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Hoover tries a head kick but it misses.
Sloppy strikes from Hoover. Those never looked like landing. Hoover lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Poe throws out a loose jab but Hoover uses good head movement to avoid it. Hoover ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Poe's jab looks to have found its range, popping Hoover under the eye. Poe ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Hoover takes one to the chin there. Hoover walks into a stiff left hand from Poe. Hoover throws a series of punches but Poe moves out of range. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hoover fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Poe manages to avoid it. Hoover takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Hoover throws a lazy right hand but Poe sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Poe throws a nice inside leg kick. Hoover uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Poe.
