The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Benoit moves out of range of the body kick. Benoit throws out a counter right but Paul avoids it with no problem. Jab, jab by Benoit - just one landing. Benoit throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Paul sees it coming and avoids it easily. Benoit chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Paul slips a jab from Benoit. Paul checks the leg kick. Benoit gets a clinch. Paul throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Benoit blocks it with crossed arms. Paul effectively controlling the action here. Paul creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Benoit's defenses. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Paul misses with a body kick. An inside leg kick lands from Paul. Paul takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. A punch combination from Benoit misses. Paul tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Benoit manages to circle out of the way. Paul ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jokinen fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Vesala. Jokinen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Vesala. That did some damage! Jokinen has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jokinen there as he acknowledges the shot. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Phichai lands a two punch combo.
Good standup being displayed there by Rokka as he connects with a hook. Rokka throws a big shot that misses. Rokka throws a nice looking combination but Phichai bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Phichai moves out of range as Rokka strikes. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Phichai.

We've been told by Rokka's head coaches at Gangsterdamage that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Rokka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Phichai on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Rokka circles away from the clinch attempt.

Rokka lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
