8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Niilo Vaaka! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vaaka drops his hands momentarily and Diaz takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
It looks like Niilo Vaaka has been cut. A jab lands there for Vaaka. Vaaka moves into range and clinches up with Diaz. Vaaka throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Diaz tries to pull guard but Vaaka won't allow it.
Vaaka makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Diaz is trying to pull guard but Vaaka turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Vaaka pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Vaaka moves into the clinch successfully.
Diaz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Vaaka closes the distance and clinches. Diaz fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Nick Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No joy there for Vaaka, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Diaz connects with a jab. Diaz scores with a nice head shot. Diaz gets tackled into the cage by Vaaka. Vaaka maintains the clinch. A nice right hand lands inside from Vaaka. Vaaka breaks the clinch.
Vaaka fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Diaz manages to avoid it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas lands a body shot.
Kimura thows a left - swing and a miss! Kimura keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kimura moves into range and connects with a jab. Thomas looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Kimura! Kimura holds on to Thomas's head and controls the position momentarily. Thomas is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kimura has escaped the position, nice work there. Thomas works to advance to full mount. Kimura defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Thomas goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Kimura is on top in guard.

Kimura is fighting to break Thomas's control of his arms but Thomas is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Kimura pushing down on Thomas's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Kimura prevents Thomas from standing back up.

Thomas is not content to let Kimura control the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Segura shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Segura was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Segura trying to control the position but Todd is working away. Segura thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Segura is looking to take a break and control but Todd is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Segura goes for a double leg but Todd avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Todd continues to drive forward. Todd bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Segura shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Todd but Todd pushes him off and we're back to square one. Todd tries to avoid it but Segura manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Todd to the ground. Todd escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Segura lands a nice looking body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Todd throws an overhand right that lands on Segura's shoulder, as Segura tries to avoid the shot. Segura drops down looking for a counter takedown but Todd sprawls and moves away. Todd looks to land a right hand but Segura moved out of range. Todd has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Todd there as he acknowledges the shot. Todd ducks under a wild hook from Segura. Segura throws a body shot but no joy. Todd scores with a jab to the jaw. Segura gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Todd.

Gomez rushes Belmont and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Gomez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Belmont has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Nice uppercut lands for Gomez. That snapped Belmont's head back.

That was a close round but I would say that Jon Paul Fish will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

He used the cage to his advantage there. Loiseau lands a nice elbow. A short uppercut from Loiseau. Loiseau has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Fish swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Loiseau was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

Loiseau keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Fish's efforts to push away. Loiseau doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schwetty throws a front kick aimed at Yossarian's knee but Yossarian avoids it well. Yossarian shoots in looking for a takedown. Schwetty tries to sprawl out of it but Yossarian keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Schwetty manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Schwetty chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Yossarian can pounce on him.
