Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Denerson Lage! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jet Lawyer! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Felipe Paraventi and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lawyer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lage's waist but Lage gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lawyer off to one side. Lage looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Lawyer moves into the clinch. Lage tries to pull guard but Lawyer won't allow it.
Lawyer is pressed up against the cage. Lage has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lawyer down to the mat. Lawyer avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Lawyer moves into the clinch. Lage wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Denerson Lage. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lawyer has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lage avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Our sources have told us that Lage has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. Lawyer leaning against his opponent.

Lawyer is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Lage can't fight it off and eventually Lawyer manages to take the fight to the floor. Lage looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lage utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Lage really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lage wants to hit a switch here but Lawyer passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Lage there! Lawyer is standing up, even though he is in mount. Lawyer closes the distance and clinches. Lawyer tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lage smiles and moves away.

Lawyer has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lage after a bit of a struggle. Lawyer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lawyer gets a clinch. Lage jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lawyer walks away with a smile on his face. Lage gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Lawyer feints a jab promting Lage to slip. Lawyer then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Lage slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. The fight moves into the clinch position. Lawyer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lage keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Lage drops down looking for a counter takedown but Lawyer sprawls and moves away. Lawyer has closed the distance and engaged Lage in a clinch.

Lage won't allow Lawyer to sweep him here. Lawyer looking to control.
Lawyer is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Lage got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lawyer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lage has managed to get both his arms back between Lawyer's legs - danger averted. Lawyer working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lawyer is controlling Lage's posture. Lage stops Lawyer from standing up.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Lawyer has Lage up against the cage in a clinch.
Lawyer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lawyer fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Lawyer darts in and clinches Lage up against the cage. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Lawyer just misses with a elbow thrown towards Lage's brow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jet Lawyer dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Lawyer fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Lawyer tries for a takedown but Lage sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Lage shoots for a double leg takedown but Lawyer sprawls well. He's pushed Lage's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Lawyer looks for a takedown but Lage sprawls well. Denerson Lage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jet Lawyer. Lawyer keeping moving, preventing Lage from controlling successfully. Lawyer seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Lawyer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lage can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lawyer can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lage controls the pace. Lawyer controls Lage momentarily but Lage frees himself. Lage stopping the sweep attempt from Lawyer. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Lawyer has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lawyer throws a head kick that misses. Lawyer will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Lage takes the fight into the clinch. Lawyer drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lage gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Lage's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Lawyer shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lage sprawls well. Lage wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lawyer gets slowly back to his feet. Lage tries to counter by clinching up but Lawyer breaks away and moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lawyer shoots in for a double leg but Lage sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Lage clinches up with Lawyer and pushes him back against the cage. Lage is looking for a takedown. Lawyer displaying some good clinch control by pressing Lage up against the cage. Lage gets underhooks to prevent Lawyer's takedown attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lawyer wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Lawyer wants to stand but Lage is controlling the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lawyer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lage is fending him off so far but Lawyer persists. Nope, Lage circles away and we're back to standing. Denerson Lage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jet Lawyer. Lawyer tests Lage's chin there with a solid looking shot. Lawyer fails in his attempt to clinch. Lawyer throws a nice looking combination but Lage bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Lage half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Lawyer tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lage sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lawyer somewhat. Lage is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Lawyer stuffs the takedown attempt from Lage. Lage gets slowly back to his feet.

Lawyer tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lage defends well and Lawyer ends up having to push Lage into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Lage seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Lage tries to clinch but Lawyer is having none of it. Lawyer shoots in but Lage avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jet Lawyer seems to be getting the better of the standup. Lage misses with a takedown attempt - Lawyer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Lage stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lage wants it to stay on the feet. Lage lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lawyer circles away quickly and effectively. Lawyer shoots in for a takedown but Lage shows good takedown defense. Lawyer fails to land the takedown. As Lawyer looks to move away, Lage throws a big counter combo bu Lawyer just gets out of the way.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lawyer throws a series of punches but Lage moves out of range. Lawyer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lage as he jumps to the side. Lawyer leaves Lage with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Lage doesn't manage to clinch there - Lawyer circles away.
Lawyer pushes Lage up against the cage in a clinch. Lage gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Lawyer.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lawyer trying to land knees to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! Jet Lawyer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Lawyer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joe closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Joe definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Spinhouse looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Joe scoring with strikes to the body and head. Joe scoring with strikes to the body and head. Joe lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Spinhouse is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Joe scores with a couple of nice shots. Joe landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Spinhouse is rocked! Joe creates some space for himself and unloads with a monster right hand! That one landed with a sickening thud - Spinhouse is out cold and this one is all over! Joe climbs onto the cage to celebrate with his corner!! He's shouting something into the camera but he's still got his mouthpiece in so God knows what he's actually saying.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Anderson holding his opponent close, against the cage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Fate. Fate tries for a takedown. No joy.
Anderson tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Anderson makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Fate pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Anderson closes the distance and clinches. Fate tries to score a body lock takedown but Anderson shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Fate's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Anderson lets loose with a powerful body kick. Fate will feel that in the morning. Anderson throws a combination. Fate tries to block but a couple of punches get through. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Good leg kick by Fate there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

That's one minute gone in the round. Fate breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Fate cracks Anderson with a good jab. Anderson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Anderson is looking to clinch. Anderson misses with a series of wild punches.

Fate shoots for a double leg takedown but Anderson sprawls well. He's pushed Fate's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Fate blocks a low kick nicely. It looked like Fate was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Anderson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Fate stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

This has been an exciting period of action! Anderson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Fate lands a big head kick that sends Anderson tumbling to the mat! Fate takes a step backwards and waves Anderson back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like George Anderson has been cut. Fate leaves Anderson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Anderson tries to bum rush Fate with a series of wild strikes but Fate uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Anderson has taken the fight to the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Anderson fails to land. Fate's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Fate dives in for a single leg takedown but Anderson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Anderson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Fate counters with a nice double leg into guard. Anderson looks winded! Anderson trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Anderson is looking to stand up but Fate isn't so interested in that idea.

Anderson is trying to escape back to his feet but Fate uses the scramble to pass into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fate is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Anderson pushes Fate off but Fate dives into side control.
Anderson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fate. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fate slows the pace down. Fate passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Anderson! Anderson is squirming around, avoiding Fate's attempts to control the action. Fate postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Anderson looks a forlorn figure.

A close round but George Anderson will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on George Anderson's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Fate has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Anderson. Anderson gets in close and instigates a clinch. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Fate lands a nice elbow.
That has opened up George Anderson's cut even more. Anderson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fate moves out of range as Anderson throws a body kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Fate wants to control but Anderson is keeping him busy. Anderson taking a bit of punishment here - Fate scoring with strikes. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. That's two minutes gone in the round. Fate fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Anderson to the ground. Fate is now in Anderson's guard. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Anderson lands a nice looking body kick. Anderson misses with a double jab.

and Fate counters with a nice leg kick. Anderson shoots in and drives through. Fate sprawls well. Fate fails with the takedown.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fate shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Fate was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Fate slows the pace down. Fate has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Anderson! Anderson is in a horrible position here. Fate smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
