The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silence tries a head kick but it misses.
Stevens tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Silence tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stevens paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Silence works over Stevens's head and body with a nice combination.
Silence tries to bum rush Stevens with a series of wild strikes but Stevens uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Stevens wants to counter the offense by Silence and move into the clinch position.
A combination from Silence does no damage.

Silence changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stevens looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Silence wants to stand but Stevens is controlling his arm.
Silence knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stevens on the ground.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
