2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Deshawn Michaels! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Michaels instigates a clinch. Michaels lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
It looks like Yusuke Nagano has been cut. Nagano has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Michaels is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Michaels gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Michaels lands an elbow inside. Michaels looking to slow down the pace here. Michaels is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Michaels is pressed up against the cage. Nagano has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Michaels down to the mat. Michaels avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Nagano darts in looking for a takedown but Michaels gets double underhooks and turns Nagano into the cage. Nagano dives in for a single leg takedown but Michaels sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Michaels steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Nagano. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sakurai lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Pascoal lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sakurai circles away quickly and effectively. Pascoal seems to have got his legs back now. Sakurai throws a series of punches but Pascoal avoids them all with ease. Pascoal throws a big counter combination but Sakurai scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Pascoal wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Sakurai fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Pascoal has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Sakurai misses with a wild combination.

A close second round but Hideo Sakurai will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
