Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mo Butta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Arnold Shwartzneger! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jorge Garcia and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Shwartzneger checks a leg kick. Shwartzneger looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! A jab from Butta does it's job there. Shwartzneger moves out of range as Butta throws a body kick.
This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Butta. Butta keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Butta lands with a big right hook that stumbles Shwartzneger - he's out on his feet here! Butta follows up with another monster hook that separates Shwartzneger from consciousness! Shwartzneger falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Butta stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeremy Hughes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Strong! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Anthony Taglia and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strong shoots in looking for a takedown but Hughes manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Strong's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Hughes seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Hughes drives through with a takedown into guard. Strong is looking to stand up but Hughes isn't so interested in that idea. Strong lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Hughes has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Strong looking to pass the guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hughes looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hughes looking for a sweep. Not yet Hughes, not yet. Strong trying to control but Hughes is working from the bottom. Hughes is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Strong wants to control from the top but Hughes keeps moving. Strong is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hughes has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Strong can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hughes pushes Strong off and scrambles back to his feet.
Hughes fails with a takedown attempt. Strong throws out a counter right but Hughes avoids it with no problem. Strong shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hughes but Hughes pushes him off and we're back to square one. Hughes moves into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hughes decides to pull guard. Hughes tries to land a sweep but no joy. Strong wants to control from the top but Hughes keeps moving. Strong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hughes swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hughes has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Strong is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hughes. Hughes is breathing heavily. Strong trying to control the position but Hughes is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hughes avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Strong. Hughes wants to get back to his feet but Strong is dominant here and he's now got Hughes's back! Strong is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Strong looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
Strong tightening his grip on Hughes, looking for the choke. Strong tries to keep control of the position but Hughes is staying busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeremy Hughes dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Hughes keeps the fight on the outside. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hughes is defended easily by Strong. Strong tries to clinch up but Hughes circles away and keeps his distance. Hughes is looking to counter the offense by Strong and move into the clinch. Strong looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Strong closes the distance and clinches up with Hughes, looking for a takedown. Strong pushes Hughes against the cage but Hughes circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Hughes shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Strong has hold of Hughes's hands but Hughes slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hughes decides to return to a standing position. Horrible takedown attempt by Strong or perhaps it was just good defense by Hughes, which made it look bad.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strong shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hughes as he jumps to the side. An attempted straight right counter from Hughes misses the target. Jeremy Hughes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Strong. Strong closes the distance looking to clinch and Hughes counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Strong! Strong tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. I would not like to be Strong right now.
Hughes scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Strong is looking for a way out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Strong is trying to get back to his feet but Hughes has full control of the position and if anything, Strong has just worked his way into a worse spot. Strong trying to control the hands but Hughes breaks the grip. Hughes controlling the position well here. Strong rolled but Hughes kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Strong trying to control the hands but Hughes breaks the grip. Hughes is riding his opponent, not letting Strong buck him off. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Strong tries to roll but Hughes sticks to his back.
Hughes is punishing Strong with some ground and pound. Hughes is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Hughes is trying to stick to Strong's back but Strong is turning into Hughes. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Hughes's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Strong.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. A momentary lapse in concentration from Strong enables Hughes to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Strong manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Strong wants to stand but Hughes is controlling the position. Strong is trying to control the position but Hughes postures up. Hughes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Strong swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hughes advances position into side control! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hughes decides to stand back up. Hughes steps back and let's Strong get back to his feet. No luck for Strong with that takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeremy Hughes dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Hughes closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Hughes stalling against the cage.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Hughes obliges. Strong is trying to pull guard but Hughes turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Strong wants to take the fight to the mat but Hughes manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Hughes turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hughes content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hughes lands a few punches from side control. Strong prevents Hughes from moving into mount. Strong looks to move to half guard but instead Hughes has passed into mount! Damn! Strong wants to control but Hughes is having none of it. Hughes controlling from the full mount. Hughes dominating with strikes here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Strong takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hughes lands with some strikes. Hughes with good strikes from the mount here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strong wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

It looks like Mark Strong has been cut. Hughes is in the full mount, landing strikes. Hughes wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. Jeremy Hughes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hughes controlling the position easily from mount. Hughes is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Strong has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Strong! The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Strong wants to control from the top but Hughes keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Hughes is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Strong can do to turn this around? Strong misses with an uppercut
and Hughes counters with a series of strikes. Strong will be more careful next time no doubt. Strong throws a leg kick and Hughes counters with a left and a right that stings Strong. Strong shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jeremy Hughes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Strong. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Strong gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Hughes finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Mark Strong has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jeremy Hughes is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Hughes closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Strong to the mat! Strong manages to get full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Jeremy Hughes showed his dominance in that final round. Well Hughes has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Punishment has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Capital Punishment has been cut. Punishment has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Antti Konna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Punishment keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Punishment with the counter takedown but Konna avoids it easily. Konna feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Punishment sprawling to the canvas! Punishment rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Konna finish him?!
Konna cracks Punishment with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Konna has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Punishment to stand back up!
Punishment is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Konna goes for a small jab and connects. Now Konna goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Punishment stumbles back but Konna runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Punishment to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Punishment will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Varga has Jarnett up against the cage in a clinch.
Varga is leaning against Jarnett and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Jarnett is breathing heavily. Jarnett misses with a punch on the inside.
Jarnett tries to throw a body punch but Varga avoids it by throwing Jarnett back against the cage. Varga scores with a hook to the body. Varga lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Jarnett backwards.
It looks like Bosh Jarnett has been cut. Varga lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Varga gets through Jarnett's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Varga lands a body punch. Varga lands a body punch in the clinch. Varga lands a hook to the side of the head. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Varga creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Varga is working Jarnett over against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Varga stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. A short left from Varga. Varga lands an uppercut. A shot in the inside from Varga.
Bosh Jarnett's cut is getting worse. Varga lands a shot to the body. A right handed body shot lands from Varga.
Varga throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Jarnetts head. Varga scores with a nice hook to the head. Varga pushes Jarnett against the cage. Varga is working some dirty boxing. Varga pushes off with a quick right hook! Jarnett goes down! Jarnett tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Varga moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Laszlo Varga! An out of breath Laszlo Varga thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
