The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hendriks connects with a body shot. Shepherd slips a jab and a cross from Hendriks.
Shepherd tries to counter by closing the distance. Hendriks misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Shepherd .
Hendriks swings for the body but Shepherd moves out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hendriks. Shepherd does a little dance to reset his feet. Shepherd is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Shepherd has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Shepherd bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Hendriks is looking to regain half guard here but Shepherd keeps moving and retains side control. Hendriks defending against the ground and pound. Shepherd landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Shepherd working the head with strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shepherd in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Shepherd throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Hendriks prevents Shepherd from improving position. Shepherd working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shepherd tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Shepherd really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hendriks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Shepherd working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Shepherd landing a few strikes. Hendriks stops Shepherd from passing to mount. Hendriks taking punishment in the form of punches.
Shepherd thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Shepherd lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Hendriks down.
Hendriks is looking for a sweep. Hendriks avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Shepherd . Shepherd working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Shepherd is trying to get an arm triangle but Hendriks is defending well.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. A punch combination from Hendriks misses. Hendriks misses with a body shot.

Shepherd keeping moving, preventing Hendriks from controlling successfully. Hendriks slips nicely into half guard. Shepherd is trying to maintain the position but Hendriks is very close to passing his half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shepherd can do anything to dispel that myth. Hendriks sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Shepherd defending well though.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Shepherd moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. No joy there for Shepherd , who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Shepherd pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hendriks just misses with a punch to the body.
Shepherd connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hendriks's hands.
Hendriks is rocked! Shepherd clinches up with Hendriks and pushes him back against the cage. Oh Hendriks is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Shepherd escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Shepherd moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Hendriks! Shepherd continues to tee off on Hendriks, landing with a left and a right! Shepherd connects with a right hand that leaves Hendriks sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Shepherd !

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steinhof closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Santos quickly recovers to half guard. Steinhof working over Santos with some ground and pound. Santos looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Steinhof scoring with strikes to the body and head. Steinhof prevents Santos from standing back up.
Steinhof has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at The Hut - $50. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Steinhof looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Santos with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Santos is rocked! Steinhof wants to work for an arm triangle but Santos is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Oh Santos is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Steinhof lands a big elbow - Santos is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Steinhof!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Speed throws a right hand that The ducks under and follows up with a left that The also avoids with ease. Speed shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with The but The pushes him off and we're back to square one. The rushes Speed and presses him up against the cage. The breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Speed throws a wild combination but nothing lands. The drops down looking for a counter takedown but Speed sprawls and moves away. The throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Speed stalks The and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into The's face. The staggers backwards, shaken. The drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The stands up and beckons Speed to his feet. The moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The drives through and clinches with Speed against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. The has hold of one of Speed's legs. Speed is fighting the takedown attempt but The gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. The throwing strikes from guard but Speed blocks nicely. Speed trying to keep a closed guard but The is proving a slippery customer.
The gets to his feet - Speed follows without any prompting. No luck with that takedown attempt from Speed. The tries to counter with a takedown but Speed is quick to defend against it. The fight moves into the clinch position. The escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Speed walks away with a smile on his face. The gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Videogamer The is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A momentary lapse in concentration from Speed enables The to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Speed manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

The is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Speed can do to turn this around? The stands up from half guard. The has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Speed. Speed scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. The doesn't seem bothered though. The fails with the takedown and Speed counters with a nice uppercut. The drives through with a takedown into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Speed looking for a guillotine here but The defends easily.

Speed is looking to control The's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Speed avoid being mounted? The decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. The defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Speed. The throws a series of punches but Speed moves out of range. The shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Speed defends it nicely. Speed lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Videogamer The. That's going to take a lot out of him. Speed tries to score a power double leg takedown but The sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Speed somewhat. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. The fails to land with a series of punches.
Test Speed has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Videogamer The is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Speed tried to score with a low kick but The checks it. The tries to counter by clinching up but Speed breaks away and moves out of range.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Videogamer The. Well I reckon that's a shut out for The, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kessler throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. One fails to land the takedown. Kessler digs a good hook to One's body.
Kessler moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Kessler ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Jab, jab by Kessler - just one landing.
It looks like Tycoon One has been cut. Kessler has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Kessler lands the left hand. One gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Kessler gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! One is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Inger Kessler! A relieved looking Inger Kessler thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

It looks like Sam Dean has been cut. Dean on the wrong end of a nice jab. Lidstrom tries to bum rush Dean with a series of wild strikes but Dean uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Dean rushes Lidstrom and presses him up against the cage. Lidstrom wants to get back to striking at distance but Dean won't allow it.
Lidstrom escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sam Dean seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A combination from Lidstrom does no damage. Lidstrom moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Dean misses with a jab to the body
and Lidstrom counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A decent looking cross lands there for Lidstrom.
Dean is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dean scores with a shot to the body.
Lidstrom takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. A slow jab from Dean misses its intended target. Dean takes the fight into the clinch. Lidstrom can't break the clinch.

and Lidstrom cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Dean rushes Lidstrom and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. The referee is keeping an eye on Dean - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Dean makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Dean scores with a shoulder strike. Lidstrom wants to break the clinch but can't.

Dean pushes Lidstrom back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Lidstrom has had enough of the clinch but Dean keeps him there for the moment. Dean prevents Lidstrom from breaking the clinch.

Lidstrom wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Dean rushes Lidstrom and presses him up against the cage. Lidstrom breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dean swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Lidstrom is looking to counter punch. Lidstrom misses with a hook. Dean ducked under it nicely. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lidstrom misses with a hook. Dean ducked under it nicely. That's three minutes gone in the round. Dean looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Lidstrom misses with a looping left. Dean tries to close the distance and clinch but Lidstrom swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Lidstrom lands a left and a right that send Dean crashing to the mat, dazed. Lidstrom thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Dean is still on wobbly legs! Can Lidstrom finish him?
That has opened up Sam Dean's cut even more. Dean is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Lidstrom rather than just go for the knockout. Lidstrom scores with a sloppy right hand. Dean should have avoided that one. Dean gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Dean seems to have recovered his senses. This has been an exciting period of action! Lidstrom wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dean has him pressed against the cage. Dean displaying some good clinch control by pressing Lidstrom up against the cage. Lidstrom wants to stall.
Dean manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Tow dives in and grabs MacDuff's left leg, looking for a takedown. MacDuff pushes down on Tow's head and hops out. MacDuff is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Tow with a body shot. Big Tow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice takedown defense from MacDuff. No joy for Tow on that attempt. Tow goes for a double leg but MacDuff avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as MacDuff continues to drive forward. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Big Tow. That's going to take a lot out of him. MacDuff digs a good body shot into Tow's ribs. MacDuff lands a glancing blow to the side of Tow's head.
It looks like Big Tow has been cut. MacDuff leaves Tow with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Tow fails with a takedown attempt. Tow is breathing heavily. Tow takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Decent striking displayed by MacDuff there. MacDuff throws a shot to the body.
MacDuff comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tow takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. MacDuff bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Tow's head backwards. MacDuff thuds a left hand into Tow's body. Tow takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
That's one minute gone in the round. Decent striking displayed by MacDuff there. MacDuff scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tow doesn't seem bothered though. MacDuff lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Tow at a distance.

MacDuff scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. MacDuff cracks Tow with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Tow moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Tow takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. MacDuff lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Big Tow's cut is getting worse. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. MacDuff works Tow's body with a nice hook. MacDuff connects with a body shot that sends Tow's belly button to the back. MacDuff lands a left and a right that send Tow crashing to the mat, dazed. MacDuff thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Tow is rocked! Tow tries to get into range but MacDuff steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Tow! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! MacDuff scores the big KO victory!
