And that's the end of the fight! Greg Deanson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Deanson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pomkai swats away the attempt to clinch by Black. Pomkai appears to be looking for a big counter. Black gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Pomkai. Black shoots in looking for a takedown but Pomkai manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Black's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Decent striking displayed by Pomkai there. Bhat Pomkai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Black on the wrong end of a nice jab.
It looks like Jp Black has been cut. Pomkai works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Nice sprawl there from Pomkai as Black shoots in. Pomkai lands with a right that hurts Black. Black looks to clinch but Pomkai throws a short knee that drops Black. This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shore misses with a leg kick and Giese counters with a single leg into guard. Shore didn't expect that. Giese seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Giese throws a big right hand that misses. Giese is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Giese throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Giese is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shore wants to get back to his feet but Giese is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Shore looking for a sweep. Not yet Shore, not yet. Shore on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Shore tries to get out of the position. Giese won't allow Shore to get back to his feet.

Giese in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Shore throws a leg kick and Giese counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Giese postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Giese showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Shore is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Giese passes Shore's left leg - he's now in half guard. Giese has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Giese takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Giese scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Shore is looking for a sweep. Giese is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Giese moves into full mount! Shore won't be happy about that!

Giese has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Shore's face.
Giese breaks from Shore's wrist control and lands an elbow. Giese postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Shore looks a forlorn figure.

Giese landing shots from mount. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Giese controlling the position easily from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shore falls off balance throwing a combination
and Giese decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Shore's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Giese accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Giese working some strikes from top position. Giese lands a couple of elbows. Shore is looking for a triangle here but Giese uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Giese lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Shore down.
