The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ma Shaung displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Riekko throws out the jab.
Ma Shaung feints and then cracks Riekko's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Riekko down.
Ma Shaung pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A cross from Riekko lands.
Ma Shaung throws out a leg kick but Riekko moves out of range and Ma Shaung only half commits.
Riekko takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Riekko rushes Ma Shaung and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Come on Riekko - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Ma Shaung is trying to push Riekko away but Riekko has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Riekko stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Riekko lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ma Shaung backwards.
Ma Shaung blocks the elbow strike.
Ma Shaung wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Riekko has him pressed against the cage.

Riekko pushes off an throws an elbow but Ma Shaung leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Ma Shaung fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Riekko manages to avoid it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Riekko lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Riekko throws a low kick, looking for Ma Shaung 's leg but Ma Shaung calmly moves out of range.
A decent looking cross lands there for Ma Shaung .
Ma Shaung throws out a leg kick but Riekko moves out of range and Ma Shaung only half commits.

Ma Shaung tries to bum rush Riekko with a series of wild strikes but Riekko uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Riekko dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Ma Shaung . That did some damage!
Riekko throws a body shot but no joy.
Ma Shaung wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Ma Shaung scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like Risto Riekko has been cut.
A slow jab from Riekko misses its intended target.
Ma Shaung checks a low kick from Riekko.
Ma Shaung tries to clinch up but Riekko circles away and keeps his distance.
Riekko appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
We've been told by Ma Shaung 's head coaches at All Time Wrestling - 12 ELITE COACHES that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Riekko gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Papas looks for the body kick but Bryan saw that one coming.
Papas has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Hut - $50 in the buildup to the fight.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Vukovic.
Vukovic lands a decent elbow from side control.
Abreu is looking to regain half guard here but Vukovic keeps moving and retains side control.
Vukovic remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Abreu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vukovic on the ground.
Vukovic wants to lay and pray for a moment but Abreu keeps working.

Vukovic has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Abreu is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Vukovic yanks on the arm and Abreu is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Vukovic.

Teller looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bush throws a quick inside leg kick.
Teller shoots in looking for a takedown. Bush tries to sprawl out of it but Teller keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bush manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Good exchange - Bush coming out on top.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bush connects with a leg kick. Teller looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Bush pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Teller throws a hook to the side of Bush's head but Bush sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Bush uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Teller.

Maukka Bush is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Teller closes the distance and clinches.
Teller is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Bush pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Teller has hold of one of Bush's legs. Bush is fighting the takedown attempt but Teller gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Teller is trying to drag Bush to the mat but Bush just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Teller is looking to take this one to the mat.

Teller has Bush pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Teller pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bush tumbling to the mat - Teller dives into Bush's guard.
Teller postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Teller is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Bush trying to keep a closed guard but Teller is proving a slippery customer.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Teller cracks Bush with a big right hand but Bush just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Bush parries the strikes from Teller easily there. Teller is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Bush to escape.
Bush on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bush tries to get out of the position.
Teller controlling from side mount.
Let's hope that Teller has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Teller works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Teller goes for a double leg but Bush avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bush continues to drive forward.

It looks like Martin Teller has been cut.
Bush throws a combination. Teller tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Bush scores with a head kick. Teller tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Teller.
Teller has a takedown stuffed.
Bush moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Teller chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bush can pounce on him.
Bush uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Teller.

Bush swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Teller's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Bush bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Teller dives in and grabs Bush's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bush pushes down on Teller's head and hops out.
Bush throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Teller stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Bush.
Bush scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Teller doesn't seem bothered though.
Bush cracks Teller with a good jab.
Teller just misses with a punch to the body.
Bush lands a leg kick that knocks Teller off balance momentarily.

Bush drives through and clinches with Teller against the cage.
Bush lands with a light punch inside.
A nice left hand lands by Bush.

Teller has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Bush regains guard immediately.
Teller not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Martin Teller has got the better of the ground game so far.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

It seemed like Egilsson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Twinkle jabs Egilsson right on the nose. Egilsson blinks but takes it well.
Twinkle throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Twinkle scores with a jab to the body.
A jab from Twinkle does it's job there.
Egilsson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Twinkle has time to react.
Twinkle comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Twinkle cracks Egilsson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

and Egilsson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Twinkle's knee momentarily.

Egilsson unleashes a big counter combination but Twinkle bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Twinkle throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Egilsson counters with a body kick.
Egilsson misses the shot to the body.
Egilsson throws a solid leg kick but Twinkle takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Egilsson.
Egilsson pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Twinkle misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Egilsson.
Twinkle steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Egilsson.
Twinkle tests Egilsson's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Twinkle cracks Egilsson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Twinkle has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Egilsson to stand back up!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Twinkle swings for the body but Egilsson moves out of range.
