The bell rings for round one and we are underway! WawaWeeeeewaaaa cracks Schneider with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Schneider throws a combination but it was largely blocked by WawaWeeeeewaaaa. WawaWeeeeewaaaa swings and misses with a hook to the body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arg buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Pugh looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Arg darts in and clinches Pugh up against the ropes. Arg lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Pugh or not. Arg breaks from the clinch.
Arg tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pugh swats him away and circles back towards the center. Arg tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Pugh paws at him with a jab and circles away. Pugh with the counter takedown but Arg avoids it easily. Nice straight punches there by Arg. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Arg. We've been told by Arg's head coaches at Beast Playground that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Arg is looking to clinch. Pugh keeps the fight on the outside. Arg drives through and clinches with Pugh against the ropes.
A short right from Arg. Arg works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Arg throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Arg presses Pugh against the ropes and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Arg lands an elbow that stopped Pugh in his tracks for a moment. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Arg breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Arg wants to clinch up but Pugh keeps it at a distance. Pugh avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arg comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Arg connects with a nice cross there... Pugh is looking wobbly and Arg recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Pugh to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Arg jumps onto the ropes to celebrate with the crowd!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jesus shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Matsumoto sprawls well. Matsumoto wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jesus gets slowly back to his feet. Matsumoto feints the counter takedown. Matsumoto fails to land the takedown. Jesus looks to score with a jab to the body but Matsumoto is just out of range. Matsumoto shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Matsumoto is stalling in the full guard. Matsumoto's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Matsumoto in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Matsumoto working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Jesus wants to sweep but no luck. Matsumoto slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Jesus looking to control but Matsumoto passes into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Matsumoto is working for a kimura but Jesus is defending it quite comfortably.
Matsumoto is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jesus sees it coming and defends easily. Matsumoto thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jesus's head. Jesus blocking the ground and pound attempt from Matsumoto. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Matsumoto thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Matsumoto prevents Jesus from improving his position. Jesus controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Jesus avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Matsumoto. Jesus knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Matsumoto on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Nofurgay Jesus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jesus stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jesus wants it to stay on the feet. Jesus tries to clinch up. A slow jab from Jesus misses its intended target. Matsumoto with the counter takedown but Jesus avoids it easily. Jesus gets caught flat footed, as Matsumoto shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The fighters roll with the hold and Jesus manages to kick Matsumoto off! Matsumoto jumps back into Jesus's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jesus seems keen to control Matsumoto's posture. Matsumoto trying to control the position from guard on top but Jesus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Matsumoto throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Matsumoto wants to get up but he can't break Jesus's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Matsumoto preventing the sweep. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Jesus is working hard here to advance position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jesus utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Matsumoto has a takedown stuffed. An attempted straight right counter from Jesus misses the target. Matsumoto dives in for a single leg takedown but Jesus sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes. Jesus looks to land a right hand but Matsumoto moved out of range. Jesus closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Jesus thows a huge punch but Matsumoto dodges it nicely.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Jesus not landing any meaningful shots this time. Jesus working Matsumoto over with strikes. Matsumoto has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matsumoto is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jesus working over Matsumoto with some ground and pound. Matsumoto looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Matsumoto is trying to stand up here but Jesus is controlling him well. Matsumoto tries to get to full guard but Jesus has control of the leg. Jesus lands with a punch from half guard. Matsumoto gets back to full guard.
Ryu Matsumoto has got the better of the ground game so far. Matsumoto wants to get back to his feet but Jesus is in a dominant position and won't allow it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Matsumoto can do anything to dispel that myth. Jesus throwing strikes from guard but Matsumoto blocks nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jesus connects with a couple of short punches. Jesus wants to control from the top but Matsumoto keeps moving. Jesus has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Jesus landing some decent shots from guard. Matsumoto avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Matsumoto preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Jesus stops Matsumoto from standing up. Matsumoto looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jesus is one step ahead there. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jesus postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Matsumoto avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Jesus stops Matsumoto from standing up. Jesus tries to free his leg and advance position but Matsumoto is retaining full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Matsumoto shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jesus napping and manages to drive through into side control! The strikes coming from Matsumoto are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Jesus tries to bench press Matsumoto off him but Matsumoto keeps the position. Matsumoto is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jesus has escaped the position, nice work there. Jesus wants to control but Matsumoto postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Matsumoto in side control, throwing shots but Jesus defends. Jesus tries to bench press Matsumoto off him but Matsumoto keeps the position. Matsumoto trying to control the position but Jesus is working away. Jesus is trying to get back to half guard. Matsumoto cracks Jesus with a big elbow. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jesus is looking for a sweep. Jesus managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Matsumoto.
Matsumoto wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jesus keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Matsumoto tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Matsumoto keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jesus. Matsumoto feints the counter takedown. Jesus closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Matsumoto to the mat! Matsumoto manages to get full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jesus throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Matsumoto works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Jesus is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Matsumoto trying to control the position here. Matsumoto is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jesus is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jesus works over Matsumoto with some ground and pound from guard. Matsumoto is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Jesus is looking to control Matsumoto's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jesus avoid being mounted? Jesus is staying active underneath Matsumoto, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Jesus wants to get back to full guard. Jesus blocking the ground and pound attempt from Matsumoto.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Matsumoto takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Jesus is trying to maintain the position but Matsumoto is very close to passing his half guard. Matsumoto is taking a breather. Jesus says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Jesus has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Matsumoto is working away from the top position though. Nice strikes from Matsumoto there. Matsumoto is trying to control. Jesus wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Well, if Matsumoto is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Jesus scores with a takedown into Matsumoto's guard. Jesus is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Jesus is in close to Matsumoto's body, working some short punches and elbows. Matsumoto bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jesus's guard. Jesus is trying to control the position from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nofurgay Jesus. I think Jesus has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dwyer takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Dwyer takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Jose De La Cus lands a jab-cross combination. Jose De La Cus scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Dwyer has his takedown stuffed and Jose De La Cus counters with a series of strikes. Dwyer will be more careful next time no doubt.
Dwyer is rocked! Jose De La Cus lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Dwyer goes down and covers up as Jose De La Cus starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

After the fight, Carter Jose De La Cus was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mylleri looks to score with a jab to the body but Stuffins is just out of range. Mylleri shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Mylleri lands a lovely overhand right. Mylleri throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Stuffins stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Mylleri thuds a left hand into Stuffins's body. Stuffins listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Stuffins uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mylleri.
Mylleri lands a big uppercut and Stuffins crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Stuffins looks OK. Mylleri waves Stuffins back to his feet!
Stuffins is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mylleri shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and Mylleri slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! Mylleri lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.

It looked like Cardinale wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Cardinale takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Down is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Down keeping moving, preventing Rogers from controlling successfully. Rogers in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Rogers misses the shot to the body. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rogers dives in and grabs Down's left leg, looking for a takedown. Down pushes down on Rogers's head and hops out. Rogers shoots in looking for a takedown. Down tries to sprawl out of it but Rogers keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Down manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Down takes a swing at Rogers's ribcage but misses. Rogers changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Down looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. You can see the frustration on Down's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Rogers is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Down has escaped the position, nice work there. Rogers tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Down can't do much from the bottom here.

This could be all over! Wait, no, Down rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Rogers's guard! Nice work there by Down! Down throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Down working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Rogers preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Down prevents Rogers from getting back to his feet. Down looking to sit in guard and control but Rogers gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Down looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rogers is one step ahead there. Rogers postures up and lands a big shot to Down's brow. Rogers wants to control from the top but Down keeps moving. Rogers is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rogers might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Down haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Rogers connects with a couple of short punches. Rogers controlling from the top position. Down keeping moving, preventing Rogers from controlling successfully.

Kendrik Down has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Rogers. Rogers tries to sprawl but Down drives through with a takedown into half guard. Down wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rogers keeps working. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rogers kicks off Down and gets to his feet. Sam Rogers has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! This has been an exciting period of action! Rogers throws a lazy right hand but Down sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Sam Rogers. I think Down has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
