5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bobby Bowen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Frank McAfee! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Konstantin Menshow and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McAfee shoots in for a double leg but Bowen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Bowen gets a takedown into half guard. McAfee is staying active underneath Bowen, who seems content to just control the action from this position. McAfee tries to get to full guard but Bowen has control of the leg. McAfee wants to stand back up but Bowen manages to pass into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bowen working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Bowen is working to tighten his grip on McAfee's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. McAfee has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Bowen is really squeezing tight and eventually McAfee passes out! Bowen breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Peterson misses. Ferus clobbers Peterson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Peterson shoots in for a takedown but Ferus shows good takedown defense. Ferus thinks about countering with a head kick. Peterson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Ferus is trying to improve his position. Peterson gets to mount! Ferus was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Ferus on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ferus tries to get out of the position. Peterson scores with a couple of good head shots there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peterson looking to finish Ferus with some ground and pound. This is bad for Ferus! Peterson controlling from mount. Ferus is trying to escape the mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peterson content just to control the position here. Peterson lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Peterson controlling his opponent. Ferus tries to reverse the position but Peterson maintains control. Peterson controlling the position easily from mount. Ferus is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Peterson sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peterson scoring with strikes but Ferus is staying in there. Peterson is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Ferus is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Ferus flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Peterson anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Ferus and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Peterson slips an arm under Ferus chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Peterson has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Peterson is squeezing on Ferus like an anaconda would it's prey. Ferus fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick by Maywho misses and May counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Carl Maywho has been cut. May lands a head shot. Maywho has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Maywho there as he acknowledges the shot. Maywho tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but May swivels and escapes. May really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Maywho tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. May has closed the distance and engaged Maywho in a clinch.
Maywho wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Maywho goes for a takedown attempt but May pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
May circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Maywho to the canvas! Maywho doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - May keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Woody May! An out of breath Woody May thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baker misses with a hook. Cierzniak ducked under it nicely. Cierzniak gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Cierzniak wants to break free but Baker has control.
Baker tries to work over Cierzniak's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Cierzniak's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cierzniak's coach down at MMA Sanok Training Center was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Cierzniak's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Cierzniak slips a straight right by Baker. Cierzniak scores with a sloppy right hand. Baker should have avoided that one.
It looks like Caesar Baker has been cut. Cierzniak closes the distance and clinches. Baker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Baker misses with a wild body shot. Cierzniak tries to keep at a distance but Baker has taken the fight into the clinch. Cierzniak tries to circle away but Baker has him pinned against the cage. Baker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cierzniak misses with a few strikes there.

Baker slips under a jab from Cierzniak. Cierzniak misses with a shot to the body and Cierzniak takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Robert Cierzniak has been cut. Baker scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Cierzniak doesn't seem bothered though. Cierzniak looks winded! Baker tries to bum rush Cierzniak with a series of wild strikes but Cierzniak uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Baker is looking to score with low kicks. Baker dives in and grabs Cierzniak's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cierzniak pushes down on Baker's head and hops out. Cierzniak shoots for a takedown but Baker saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. A big right from Cierzniak misses. Baker closes the distance and pushes Cierzniak back into the cage. Baker landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cierzniak has had enough of the clinch but Baker keeps him there for the moment. Baker breaks the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Baker scores with a hook to the body. Cierzniak takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Cierzniak walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Baker! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mirkovic blocks a head kick by Light.
Light darts in trying to clinch and Mirkovic counters with a stiff right hand. Mirkovic moves into range and clinches up with Light. Mirkovic lands with a light punch inside. Light tries to score a body lock takedown but Mirkovic shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Light fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Light's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A nice combination there by Mirkovic.
Light tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Mirkovic closes the distance and clinches. Mirkovic gets through Light's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Mirkovic definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mirkovic managing to block the knees to the body from Light.
Light pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mirkovic connects with a crisp jab. Mirkovic drops Light with a naaaaasty hook - Light is in real trouble here! Mirkovic dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Jitsu. No joy for Povetkin on that attempt. The fight moves into the clinch position. Jitsu lands a good knee to the midsection. Povetkin won't want to take too many of those. Jitsu misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Povetkin.
Povetkin tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jitsu smiles and moves away.
Jitsu tries for a takedown but Povetkin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Povetkin looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Povetkin moves into the clinch. Jitsu keeps control of Povetkin as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jitsu unloads a knee to the mid-section. Povetkin lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Jitsu has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Povetkin clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Jitsu is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Povetkin knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Povetkin for a finish.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jitsu working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Jitsu is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Jitsu is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Povetkin defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Povetkin is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Jitsu patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Jitsu is persistently looking for the submission but Povetkin is defending it well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jitsu avoiding Povetkin 's attempts to control his hands. You can see the frustration on Povetkin's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Jitsu looking for the RNC. Jitsu gets his hands free as Povetkin looks to control. Jitsu is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Povetkin trying to control the position but Jitsu manages to sink in the hooks. Povetkin fending off the submission attempt from Jitsu. Jitsu is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Povetkin is defending well though. Jitsu let's go of the attempt for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jitsu has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Povetkin is defending well but eventually Jitsu manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Povetkin has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Guli gets caught napping as McCoist dives in and scores a takedown. Guli manages to retain guard. Guli working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from McCoist. Guli pulls McCoist in close to prevent any damage. McCoist trying to control the position from guard on top but Guli is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McCoist stands up and waves to Guli to follow him. Guli throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McCoist misses the shot to the body. Guli takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like Munawat Guli has been cut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McCoist closes the distance and clinches. McCoist crunches a lovely knee into Guli's ribcage. A head punch blocked on the inside by McCoist. Guli throws a head punch that misses. McCoist with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. McCoist blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. McCoist working Guli over with knees to the body. Guli on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Guli scores with a hook to the body. McCoist creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Guli misses with a hook from the clinch. McCoist tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Guli avoids it. A bit of stalling here from Guli.
Guli wants to break the clinch but can't.
Guli swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Guli trying to stall but McCoist improves his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Guli dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. McCoist drops down looking for an ankle pick but Guli pulls his leg out and moves away.
We've been told by Guli's head coaches at Bobby B's Gem that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. A swing and a miss from Guli. McCoist misses with a takedown attempt and Guli counters with a lovely straight right hand! Guli throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Wiley McCoist has been cut. Guli scores with a nice head shot. Guli throws a jab but it's blocked by McCoist. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Guli misses with a body shot
and McCoist counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. McCoist closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. McCoist stalling the fight.
Guli tries a body shot but McCoist blocks it.
Guli tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. McCoist is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Guli is defending well. Munawat Guli has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wiley McCoist.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McCoist is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Guli is defending well for now. Guli is pushing McCoist up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. McCoist breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Guli looks to land a combination but McCoist avoids it well. McCoist closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. McCoist tries to pull guard but Guli won't allow it.
McCoist scores a nice knee to the body.
McCoist is trying to drag Guli to the mat but Guli just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Guli makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McCoist lands a right hand. Guli pushes McCoist back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. McCoist tries a knee to the head but Guli blocks it.
McCoist is trying to pull guard but Guli turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Guli is defending well against a takedown attempt. Guli is stalling here.
McCoist goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Guli is looking to control McCoist's arms but McCoist gets an underhook and turns him. Now Guli has his back to the cage. McCoist will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Guli up against the cage. Guli tries a body shot but McCoist blocks it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Wiley McCoist will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
McCoist shoots in but Guli avoids the takedown attempt easily. McCoist ducks under a wild hook from Guli. McCoist is looking for the big counter here. Guli fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McCoist manages to avoid it. And McCoist tries to counter it with a takedown but Guli pushes his down on his head and steps out. Guli throws a shot from downtown. McCoist moves away and avoids it. McCoist drives through with a takedown into guard. McCoist gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Guli throws a chopping leg kick but McCoist manages to avoid taking any serious damage. McCoist replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Guli blocks it well. McCoist takes one on the button. Guli digs a right hand underneath McCoist's ribcage. McCoist let out a lung full of air as it connected. McCoist is trying to pull guard but Guli has him pressed against the cage.

McCoist shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Guli as he jumps to the side. McCoist avoids a lazy jab quite easily. McCoist is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. That's four minutes gone in the round. McCoist tries to close the distance and clinch but Guli swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Guli lands with a straight right. McCoist didn't see that one coming. McCoist lands a head kick!
McCoist looks to land a combination. Guli sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Guli scores with a nice strike. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McCoist tries to clinch but Guli is having none of it. Guli lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. McCoist with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Guli to score with a decent uppercut. Guli misses with a two punch combination.
Munawat Guli is winning the standup battle so far. McCoist closes this distance looking for a takedown but Guli circles away. McCoist tries to close the distance and clinch up but Guli swats him away and circles back towards the center. Guli throws a right hand that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Wiley McCoist. I think McCoist has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
