Newcombe shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Newcombe was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Sanchez is wriggling around trying to escape but Newcombe has hooked up a rear naked choke! Is it over??? Is it... you're damn right it is! Sanchez taps out and Newcombe picks up the big win! Great work there by Newcombe!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Anton Newcombe!
Anton Newcombe was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doo fails with a takedown attempt.
Yudish throws a counter combo.
Doo really is a fat lump.

Yudish has managed to clinch.
Yudish lands with a left to the head.
Doo has Yudish pressed against the cage, preventing Yudish from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Yudish has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Doo is trying to keep an underhook but Yudish manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Doo pushes Yudish off and gets back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jaca takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Jaca throws a sloppy head kick and Pinn moves out of range easily.
Pinn connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jaca momentarily.
Pinn keeps the fight on the outside.
Jaca moves in looking to clinch but Pinn pushes him off.
