Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Desmond Hume (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike McGoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike McGoo! The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Ben Hemmingworth and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hume has taken the fight to the clinch.
McGoo has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hume after a bit of a struggle. McGoo throws a knee to the head but misses.
Hume throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but McGoo blocks it with crossed arms. Hume tries a knee to the head but McGoo blocks it.
McGoo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. McGoo shoots for a takedown but Hume saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. McGoo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hume sprawls well. Hume wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McGoo gets slowly back to his feet. Desmond Hume has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike McGoo. Hume rushes McGoo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hume is trying to pull guard but McGoo has him pressed against the cage. McGoo wants a takedown but no success here.

Hume scores with a decent looking hook.

It looks like Mike McGoo has been cut. Hume is looking to take this one to the mat. McGoo is looking for a takedown. Hume lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Hume is pressed up against the cage. McGoo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hume down to the mat. Hume avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Hume closes the distance and clinches. McGoo is working for takedown but Hume is calmly controlling the position for now. McGoo tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Hume turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hume manages to end up in side control. McGoo gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! McGoo taking shots to the head. McGoo tries to hold on but Hume postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McGoo is in all sorts of trouble here.
Hume avoids the attempt from McGoo to control. Hume sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Hume looking to finish McGoo with some ground and pound. This is bad for McGoo! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McGoo is desperately trying to improve his position but Hume has a good base and remains in mount. The referee warns McGoo that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
McGoo bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! McGoo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. McGoo drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hume dives on top into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Desmond Hume dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mike McGoo's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
McGoo shoots for a double leg takedown but Hume sprawls well. He's pushed McGoo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A chopping leg kick lands by Hume. McGoo shoots and misses and Hume counters with a nice body shot. Mike McGoo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nice sprawl there from Hume as McGoo shoots in. Desmond Hume has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike McGoo. McGoo shoots in but Hume avoids the takedown attempt easily. Hume closes the distance and clinches. Hume lands a knee to the head.
McGoo is defending well against a takedown attempt. McGoo goes for a takedown attempt but Hume pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Hume throws a sloppy head kick and McGoo moves out of range easily. And an attempted straight right on the counter from McGoo! But no joy. Hume throws a nice head kick!
McGoo doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hume counters with a head kick. That will keep McGoo thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
That has opened up Mike McGoo's cut even more. Hume scores with a head kick. McGoo tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Hume tries to clinch up but McGoo circles away and keeps his distance. Nice sprawl there from Hume as McGoo shoots in. Hume is looking to counter with head kicks. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Hume here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. McGoo has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from McGoo there as he acknowledges the shot. Hume lands a head kick. McGoo smiles back at him and beckons him forward. McGoo has a takedown stuffed. McGoo is breathing heavily. No luck for McGoo with that takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McGoo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hume's waist but Hume gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McGoo off to one side. Hume forces McGoo back against the cage and clinches. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McGoo tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Hume misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from McGoo.
Hume with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Hume is trying to pull guard but McGoo has him pressed against the cage. Hume turns his back and goes for a hip toss. Hume looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Hume is taking a breather. McGoo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Hume lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Mike McGoo's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Desmond Hume! After the fight, Desmond Hume was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joe keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Grey. Joe looks like he wants to counter punch here. Grey misses the shot to the body. Joe darts in and out, connecting with a jab. A combination from Joe does no damage. Grey tries to close the distance and clinch up but Joe swats him away and circles back towards the center. Grey fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Joe gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Grey. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Joe, right into the meat.
Joe moves out of range as Grey strikes. Grey moves to clinch but Joe breaks away and Joe connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Joe misses with an uppercut
and Grey counters with a right hand to the body. Joe's jab looks to have found its range, popping Grey under the eye. This has been an exciting period of action! Grey lands with a hook. Joe tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grey takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Joe misses with a jab to the body
enabling Grey to counter with a crisp jab. Grey throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Joe misses with an uppercut. An attempted straight right counter from Grey misses the target. No joy there for Grey, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Joe throws a right hand that Grey ducks under and follows up with a left that Grey also avoids with ease. Grey sizes up Joe with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Grey moves out of range of the strikes. It looked like Grey wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Joe lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
A decent looking cross lands there for Joe. Grey misses with a straight right. A little jabbing left from Joe on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Joe misses the shot to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Grey takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Grey lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Grey throws a leg kick but Joe sees it coming and moves out of range. Average Joe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Joe misses with a hook
and Grey counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Joe connects with a body shot that sends Grey's belly button to the back. Joe just misses with a punch to the body.
Grey connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Joe's hands. Grey lands with a thumping leg kick.

Joe misses with the body kick and Grey counters with a good low kick that Joe was not able to check. A big left from Joe misses. Grey was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Grey displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Joe. Grey looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Joe tried to score with a low kick but Grey checks it. As Joe looks to move away, Grey throws a big counter combo bu Joe just gets out of the way. Nice defenses there by Grey. Grey sizes up Joe with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Gandalf Grey is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Grey ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Joe moves away. Grey moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Some wild striking there from Joe.

Grey connects with a leg kick. Joe looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Grey connects with a crisp jab. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Joe has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Joe there as he acknowledges the shot. Grey misses with a looping right. A slow jab from Joe misses its intended target. Joe stuns Grey with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Joe misses with a body punch
and Grey cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Joe avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Joe lands with a right hand. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. A punch combination from Grey misses. A nice side step and Joe releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Grey cracks Joe with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Gandalf Grey will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Joe drops his hands momentarily and Grey takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Grey looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Joe misses with a lunging right hand
and Grey counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Joe checks a low kick from Grey. Grey tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Joe swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Joe scoring well with a low kick there.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Grey moves out of range as Joe strikes. A slow jab from Grey misses its intended target. Joe moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Some bone on bone action there as Grey checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Grey scores with a leg kick.
A jab from Grey misses. Grey feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Joes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Joe moves away from the strike by Grey. Gandalf Grey is winning the standup battle so far. Good leg kick by Joe there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

This has been an exciting period of action! Joe throws a series of punches but Grey avoids them all with ease. Joe moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Grey throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Joe on the side of the head. Grey lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Grey went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Grey works Joe's body with a nice hook. Joe defending well as Grey loads up on a big left hand. The fighters circling - Grey throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Grey pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Joe looks to throw the jab but Grey is out of range. Grey walks into a left hand. Joe displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Grey throws out the jab. Grey connects with a body shot that sends Joe's belly button to the back. Joe has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Joe takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Joe shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Grey eats them both and turns towards Joe to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Joe gets off balance looking for a body kick and Grey cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Joe connects with a jab. Grey just misses with a punch to the body.

But no joy. Joe swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Grey connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Joe takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. A looping hook to the body misses from Joe. Grey does a little dance to reset his feet. Grey swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A jab lands there for Joe. Grey misses with a leg kick and Joe counters with a one-two to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Grey walks into a stiff left hand from Joe. Joe lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Grey avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Grey throwing a counter right hand but Joe manages to avoid it. Grey slips under a jab. Grey was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Grey works over Joe's head and body with a nice combination. Grey throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Joe sees it coming and avoids it easily. Joe throws a lazy right hand but Grey sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Grey takes a body punch but keeps moving. Joe fails with the takedown and Grey counters with a lovely straight right hand!
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Average Joe. I think Joe has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Average Joe! Average Joe decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fynn misses with a double jab.
Fynn shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Power's guard. Fynn wants to get up but he can't break Power's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fynn scoring with some ground and pound. Power pulls Fynn in to control the position. Power has his foot on Fynn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fynn works his way back into a safe position though. Fynn tries to free his leg and advance position but Power is retaining full guard. Fynn trying to control but Power is working from the bottom. Fynn wanted to stand there but Power had control of the position. Fynn working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Power's head. Fynn wants to control from the top but Power keeps moving. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fynn is looking for a sweep. Fynn can't do much from the bottom here. Power working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Power throws a strike aimed at the side of Fynn's head but Fynn avoids it well.

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Filippo Di Vaio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazunori Ishii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ishii has chosen Imagine Dragons - Radioactive as his entrance music. Filippo Di Vaio had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.5lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Kazunori Ishii told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Di Vaio trying to control the position from guard on top but Ishii is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Di Vaio had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ishii defends it easily. Di Vaio working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kazunori Ishii is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Di Vaio moves out of range of the leg kick from Ishii. Di Vaio looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Ishii stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ishii wants it to stay on the feet. Di Vaio cracks Ishii with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Di Vaio fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ishii controls the position from side control. Di Vaio tries to buck Ishii off but Ishii is having none of it.

It looked like Di Vaio wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Ishii takes one on the chin but seems OK.

He tries to strike back but Ishii puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Di Vaio out cold! Oh man, Di Vaio will never hear the end of this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Butikol tries to move into range but Po moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Butikol throws out a loose jab but Po uses good head movement to avoid it. Butikol has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Butikol moves into the clinch. Po blocks an elbow strike from Butikol.

Po scores with a nice hook to the head. Po tries a body shot but Butikol blocks it.

Po scores with an uppercut up the middle. Butikol pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Po scores a nice knee to the body.

Butikol is rocked! Po told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight. Nice elbow from Po . Oh Butikol is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Po creates some distance and fires off a vicious elbow that drops Butikol! He pounces and finishes the fight with more strikes! Nice KO for Po .
