The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silvestre's coach down at UHK, Inc. was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Silvestre's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Silvestre fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Schwetty has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Schwetty shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Silvestre eats them both and turns towards Schwetty to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Daniel Silvestre has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Schwetty lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Schwetty throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Silvestre colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Schwetty as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Silvestre is left battered and dazed whilst Schwetty and his camp cheer!

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Comanche Todd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fahad Al Qarni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Al Qarni comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Hells Bells kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Comanche Todd could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Fahad Al Qarni's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Al Qarni feints and as Todd raises his hands in defense, Al Qarni changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Todd wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Al Qarni manages to pass to side control.

Todd keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Al Qarni is trying to work for a kimura but Todd is defending well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Al Qarni is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Todd defends it well.
Al Qarni passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Todd!
Todd knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Al Qarni on the ground.

Al Qarni goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Todd turns into him and now he's in Al Qarni's guard.

Al Qarni looking for a triangle here. Todd is fighting it but it looks tight! Al Qarni pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Todd is tapping out - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Fahad Al Qarni!
