The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Statham fails with an attempt to clinch.
Statham looks for a takedown but Harper sprawls well. Harper throws a front kick aimed at Statham's knee but Statham avoids it well. Statham closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Harper to the mat! Harper manages to get full guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Harper is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Harper escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Statham gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Statham preventing the sweep. Harper keeping full guard, as Statham tries to pass. Harper looking for a guillotine here but Statham defends easily.

Statham thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Statham advances to half guard. Harper should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Statham is trying to work for a kimura but Harper is defending well.
Harper tries to roll over but Statham keeps him under control. Statham seems to be working for a kimura but Harper defends the submission attempt. Harper is refusing to be controlled, as Statham sits in half guard. Statham looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Harper wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Harper avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Statham. Statham wants to free his trapped foot but Harper is holding on for dear life with his legs. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Harper fails with the takedown and Statham counters into the clinch. Nicely done. A bit of stalling here from Statham.
Harper tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Statham smiles and moves away.
Statham rushes Harper and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Statham scores with a knee to the head.

Statham shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Harper's guard. Statham stopping the sweep attempt from Harper. Harper looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Statham content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Harper had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Statham is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Harper Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Statham's back instead. Harper looking for the RNC. Statham tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Harper wants to control the pace but Statham is squirming around nicely. Harper is breathing heavily. Statham tries to get back to half guard but can't. Harper sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Statham is desperately trying to improve his position but Harper has a good base and remains in mount.

Harper tries to control but Statham wriggling away. Statham defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Harper. Harper prevents Statham from getting the reversal. Harper moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Statham has worked his arm free - good work by Statham!
Harper is working to tighten is grip on Statham's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Statham has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Harper is really squeezing tight and eventually Statham passes out! Harper breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rodrigo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Huerta as he jumps to the side. Rodrigo shoots in looking for a takedown. Huerta tries to sprawl out of it but Rodrigo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Huerta manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Huerta moves out of range of the body kick from Rodrigo.
Rodrigo moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Huerta is rocked! Rodrigo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Huerta is still in real trouble! Can Rodrigo finish him? Huerta actively working from the bottom here. Huerta is looking to improve his position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Rodrigo throws a sloppy head kick and Huerta moves out of range easily. No joy there for Rodrigo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Huerta grinds an elbow into Rodrigo's temple. Huerta stands up. Huerta walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Huerta shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Huerta was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Huerta lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Rodrigo hang on? Huerta lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Rodrigo is bucking up trying to escape but Huerta cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Huerta in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Huerta has control of Rodrigo's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Rodrigo regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Heffa Huerta dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Huerta gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Rodrigo counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Huerta blocks a head kick by Rodrigo.

Rodrigo is looking to take a break and control but Huerta is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Huerta trying to remain calm as Rodrigo controls from the top position. Huerta tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rodrigo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Rodrigo stands up. Heffa Huerta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rodrigo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Huerta as he avoids it easily. Rodrigo misses with a takedown and Huerta holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Huerta fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Rodrigo is rocked! Huerta postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Rodrigo in real trouble here! The ref calls for Rodrigo to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Padilla tries to land a front kick but Svorak steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Padilla dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Svorak. That did some damage! Svorak shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Svorak showed some decent athleticism there. Svorak with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Padilla scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Svorak manages to mount him!
Svorak will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Padilla wants to hold on but Svorak pushes him away. Svorak can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Padilla is looking to escape. Padilla is trying to escape the mount.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pouta has a takedown stuffed. Furguson shoots and misses so Pouta counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Pouta stopping the sweep attempt from Furguson. Furguson keeping full guard, as Pouta tries to pass. Furguson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Pouta looking to pass the guard. Pouta trying to control but Furguson is working from the bottom. Furguson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pouta doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pouta manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pouta wants to control from the top but Furguson keeps moving. Furguson is striking off his back. Pouta thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. Pouta is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Furguson is just riding it out for now. Pouta eventually gives up the hold. Pouta looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's one minute gone in the round. Furguson is defending against the submission attempts here by Pouta.

Furguson is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Pouta is forced to tap! Great finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Counterpunch keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Counterpunch looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Frost fails with a takedown attempt. Counterpunch throws a nice outside leg kick. Counterpunch fails in his attempt to clinch. Frost tries to clinch and Counterpunch counters with a series of strikes. Frost will be more careful next time no doubt. Frost wants to clinch up but Counterpunch keeps it at a distance. James Frost seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Frost misses with a body kick. Frost doesn't succeed with the takedown and Counterpunch counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Frost. That's going to take a lot out of him. Frost looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Frost trying to advance position but Counterpunch counters by regaining guard. Counterpunch really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Frost. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Frost wants to control but Counterpunch is keeping him busy. Frost wants to pass the guard but Counterpunch is defending well. Frost will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Frost seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Counterpunch does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Frost is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Counterpunch has managed to free his arm - good work. Frost lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Counterpunch trying to hold on to Frost's head to control him but Frost postures up.
Frost tries to pass to full mount but Counterpunch defends it. Frost trying to control from half guard but Counterpunch is working away. Frost missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Frost wants to control but Counterpunch is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Frost tries for a takedown but Counterpunch circles away easily and Counterpunch decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Frost's guard. Frost has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Counterpunch can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Frost had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Counterpunch is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Frost Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Counterpunch's back instead. Counterpunch staying busy and making it hard for Frost to control. Frost somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tartarous Counterpunch dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Counterpunch throws the left hand but Frost avoids the punch easily. Frost tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Counterpunch counters with a shoot takedown. Frost fights it but they end up in guard. Counterpunch must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Frost is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Counterpunch has his hands clasped together but Frost extends an breaks Counterpunch's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Frost.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Conduit misses the shot to the body. Excellent takedown into side control there by Smith. Smith tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Smith looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Smith works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smith tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Smith is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Conduit is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Conduit is working to avoid the ground and pound but Smith connects with a decent elbow. Smith prevents Conduit from escaping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Conduit trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Smith working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Conduit wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Smith in side control, throwing shots but Conduit defends.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Conduit misses with a body kick. A clash of legs there as Smith blocks the low kick. Smith closes the distance and clinches. Conduit tries to break the clinch but Smith is controlling the position. Smith is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Conduit pulls him back up using the underhooks. Conduit wants to break free but Smith has control.
Smith has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Conduit avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Conduit wants to get back to striking at distance but Smith won't allow it.

Conduit is breathing heavily. Smith misses with a takedown attempt - Conduit sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Carlos Conduit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Smith. Conduit throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Conduit scores with a crisp jab that stopped Smith in his tracks. Conduit connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Conduit throws a wild body kick that Smith sees coming a mile off. Conduit feints and then cracks Smith's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Smith down. Smith slips a jab and a cross from Conduit.
