The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jeeri lands with a straight right. Machado didn't see that one coming.
Jeeri tries to clinch but Machado is having none of it.
Machado cracks the inside of Jeeri's front leg.
Jeeri misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jeeri shoots for a double leg takedown but Machado sprawls well. He's pushed Jeeri's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Machado digs a good body shot into Jeeri's ribs.
Jeeri shoots in but no luck this time.

Kahwaah Jeeri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oh Jeeri is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Machado lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Jeeri - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Machado!

Oh but Engelbreckt is tightening it up a little... Larocque has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Larocque reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Larocque taps out! Nice BJJ there by Engelbreckt!

We've been told by Jabber's head coaches at Lock and Roll Grappling Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Wollsey drops his hands momentarily and Jabber needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Wollsey just on the top of the head. Wollsey drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Wollsey - he's done!

Sheehan Jr's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Neon Skies. Penaali comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Immortal Technique - Obnoxius kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Arvo Penaali was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Schilling is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Sweet Caroline-Neil Diamond. Joe Schilling told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Rauparaha goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

It looks like Joe Schilling has been cut.
Rauparaha swings widly with a right hand
and Schilling counters with a nice body kick.
We've been told by Rauparaha's head coaches at Lock and Roll Grappling Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Rauparaha turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Rauparaha will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sloppy strikes from Rauparaha. Those never looked like landing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rauparaha shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Schilling eats them both and turns towards Rauparaha to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Schilling lands a really nice looking cross but Rauparaha seems unphased.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
