8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raizer Sorrow! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Page throws a leg kick that is checked and Sorrow cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sorrow looking to score a takedown here. Page is defending well but Sorrow drives through and ends up in Page's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Page keeping moving, preventing Sorrow from controlling successfully. Page looking for a sweep. Not yet Page, not yet. Sorrow throws a big right hand that misses. Sorrow loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Page has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sorrow stopping the sweep attempt from Page. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sorrow postures up.

Scott Page seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A nice leg kick lands there from Page. Sorrow shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Page pinned against the cage. Page wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sorrow, who protects the arm well. Page just content to control the position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Sorrow sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Page trying to control from half guard but Sorrow is working away. Page is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sorrow is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Page winds up and cracks Sorrow with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Page is pressing down on Sorrow's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sorrow is holding on for now. Page prevents Sorrow from improving his position. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Scott Page will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Sorrow takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Page takes a swing at Sorrow's ribcage but misses. Page tries to bum rush Sorrow with a series of wild strikes but Sorrow uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Page misses with a body shot
and Sorrow counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Page cracks a nice hook into Sorrow's ribs. Page is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sorrow can do to turn this around?

Page is looking to wear down Sorrow with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Page scores with a leg kick.
Sorrow moves out of range of the leg kick from Page. Sorrow swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Sorrow keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Page stuffs the takedown. Page tried to counter with a leg kick but Sorrow avoided it. Scott Page has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Page tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sorrow was well out of range. Poor timing from Page. Sorrow shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Page as he jumps to the side. Sorrow throws a body punch but Page moves out of range. Page misses with a looping left. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Sorrow! But no joy.

Page has his foot on Sorrow's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sorrow works his way back into a safe position though. Sorrow with a nice head shot there. Sorrow working some strikes from top position. Raizer Sorrow has got the better of the ground game so far.
Page has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Sorrow is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Page.

Page is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Netherlands Top Team, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Page is trying to control Sorrow's posture but Sorrow avoids it. Page is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Sorrow is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Page has escaped the position, nice work there. Page wants to control but Sorrow postures up.

Sorrow swings around for an armbar but Page sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Sorrow's guard. Page looking to pass the guard. Sorrow is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Sorrow is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Page passes into half guard. Page sitting and controlling from the half guard. Sorrow is concentrating on defense, preventing Page from advancing position. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Page leaves Sorrow with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. A jab from Sorrow does it's job there. Datsik tried to score with a low kick but Young checks it. Young throws the kick towards the body but Datsik avoids it. Datsik scores with a nice strike. Datsik tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Datsik is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Young. Young misses with a looping left. Young catches Datsik with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! An inside leg kick from Young misses. Datsik takes a kick to the side of the head. Datsik is looking to score with low kicks. Young appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Datsik showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Young.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruxpin tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Ruxpin chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Pahlm can pounce on him.
Pahlm stuffs the takedown attempt from Ruxpin. Ruxpin gets slowly back to his feet. Ruxpin scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Pahlm throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ruxpin tries to land a leg kick but Pahlm saw it coming and moves away.
Pahlm dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Ruxpin. That did some damage! Pahlm cracks the inside of Ruxpin's front leg. Pahlm motions for Ruxpin to come forward. Pahlm throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pahlm attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Pahlm uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ruxpin. Pahlm misses with a head kick.

Ruxpin seems to have recovered his senses. Pahlm tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Ruxpin avoids it. Ruxpin tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

I was talking to Pahlm's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Pahlm is trying to stall.

Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Pahlm shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Ruxpin throws a right and a left that both miss. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crunch! Randy slams his shin into Maximus's torso. Maximus darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Randy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Maximus.

A low kick from Randy lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Maximus has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Maximus and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Maximus fires out a quick counter leg kick but Randy just manages to avoid it. Maximus connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Newman tries to clinch up but Paskalev circles away and keeps his distance. Paul Newman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Newman jabs at Paskalev's body. Newman scores with a kick to the body.
Newman fails in his attempt to clinch. Newman feints and then cracks Paskalev's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Paskalev down. A low kick from Paskalev is predictable there and Newman counters with a good, hard body kick but Paskalev shrugs it off. Paskalev thumps Newman with a low kick. Newman fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Newman misses with a body shot.

Nicolosi was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
