Striker misses with a takedown attempt - jo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Fei Hung uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Tran really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Rodgers is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Budlung has chosen Killing Time - Pennywise as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Budlung tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hunter swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hunter looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Budlung is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hunter.
We've been told by Hunter's head coaches at Fokai Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Budlung tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hunter manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hunter attempts a counter takedown but Budlung avoids it well and moves away.
Hunter uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Budlung.
Budlung throws out a loose jab but Hunter uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hunter appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Budlung chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hunter can pounce on him.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Budlung creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Budlung tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Hunter looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hunter tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Budlung wanted to stand there but Hunter had control of the position.
Budlung must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Hunter lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

It looks like Mongol Budlung has been cut.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hunter accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Budlung is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Budlung got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hunter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Budlung has managed to get both his arms back between Hunter's legs - danger averted.

Hunter had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Budlung defends it easily.
Hunter is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

You can see the frustration on Budlung's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Hunter misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Budlung seems a little lost for a moment, as Hunter dominates the positioning.
Hunter throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Budlung works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Hunter is looking to advance position but Budlung won't allow it.

Hunter thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Budlung felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Hunter looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Budlung with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Budlung tries to kick Hunter off but Hunter keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Hunter takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That has opened up Mongol Budlung's cut even more.

Budlung is not content to let Hunter control the position.
Hunter thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Budlung's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Hunter dominated that round.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Jab, jab by Hunter - just one landing.
The cut above Mongol Budlung's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Budlung misses with a straight left.
An attempted straight right counter from Hunter misses the target.
Hunter avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Budlung fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Hunter counters with a nice uppercut.
Hunter scores with a nice right hand.
A jab from Hunter does it's job there.
Mongol Budlung's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Budlung is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Hunter just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Budlung has gone limp and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mark Hunter!
